I recently purchased the Alienware x15 R2 equipped with the NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti and an Intel i7 12th Gen processor, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. The RTX 3070 Ti GPU offers incredible graphics performance, making my gaming experiences visually stunning and immersive. My husband and I both bought one each for ourselves to replace our 6 year old Alienware laptops (that both still work great but the graphics cards can’t handle the newer games as well as it used to). This laptop is great and can handle everything with ease, thermals are good and I upgraded my RAM to 32GB shortly after purchase and also moved over my m.2 from the older Alienware. Expandability was both important and easy to do and we’re both satisfied with our new computers. The only downside to these is that some of the IOs that we were used to having built into the unit and had to buy external docking stations to get the same ports we were used to on our older units (there are less ports on this model). Battery life is always low on gaming laptops but it performs exactly as expected and we will continue buying Alienware in the future.

I have owned so many gaming laptops from various companies and this one is 1 of the best I have ever owned. 1st the power. This is packing a RTX 3070 TI with 5888 cuda cores & 150 Watts max Graphics power. Many RTX 3070ti on laptops will be 80 watts to 100 watts with 10watts boost which takes a major hit to gaming performance. This features widows hello face unlock which I would never have really gone out of my way to get one with this feature but after using it, I have to say its great. Just look at your laptop and it unlocks. UPGRADES! This has 1 open M.2 for additional hard drive down the road and the ram is upgradable. Not soldered on like many gaming laptops. The Ryzen 9 CPU is a beast of a CPU and its the top of the line model so pretty much any game, max out graphics you will get well over 100 FPS no issues with its maxed out RTX 3070ti GPU. MUX SWITCH! This does have advanced optimus but you can go to BIOS and there is mux switch. There you can make it run 100% of the time on the Nvidia GPU at the cost of battery lift. Bottom line if you want a beast of a gaming laptop I would recommend this one for price to value. No lock ups, no issues, no overheating. Use all day for work and gaming at night. Go for it you will be happy you did If you are looking for a gaming laptop that can handle pretty much any game out and last you for a long time with great upgrade protentional

This laptop is definitely a solid portable gaming computer! (plays rust max settings hovers around 60fps) Cant say there's a lot of GPU OC head room but it does allow a some miner adjustments. not that I would complain as it has some guts (Time Spy score 11405) feels sturdy and keeps itself cool the fans do get kinda rowdy though they work very very well. the material on keyboard face is a greasy finger smear magnet, looks really nice though I gotta wipe it down frequently for my own sanity. my only complaint is somewhat temporary! The Command Center program/programs install isn't the most user friendly/pleasant. (the very negative reviews on the app makes a bit of sense but I feel its worth it in the end) the program wouldn't open initially until laptop is reset upon being manually re-opened to began the installation. during installation there is no progress bar and felt like it wasn't doing anything with limited small print instructions. (multiple restarts required for multiple software installations for full use of program) Once fully installed everything works well and functions quite easy though I still feel it should had been a clearer. I would prefer it was an all in one program rather than have Command center, Dolby program, and the My Alienware app, it just feels messy. definitely not something you would want for great use unplugged as battery life isn't anything impressive aswell as reduced performance.

Absolutely love this Alienware m17 R5! With its fast Ryzen 9 and RTX 3070 Ti, gaming has never been smoother. The 360Hz screen is a game-changer, making every moment ultra-responsive. Plenty of storage with the 1TB SSD, and the 'Dark Side of the Moon' design is just cool. It's a solid performer that's worth every penny.

I recently purchased an m17 r5 360hz, Ryzen9, 16g ram, 1T ssd open box “ satisfactory “ condition, got it for little over 1k wasn’t sure what to expect as far as condition scratches etc. any other issues like software or hardware related.also the description is a little vague in detail like keyboard config. for example, When I pick it up finally open It actually came with original packaging no dents or scratches screen was perfect the only problem was the Tron ring and the alien logo was not turning on. I reset windows and deleted the command center reinstall it from dells website and it work. At the end the “satisfactory” is like excellent to me it was technically new and software problem took me some time to figure out, but is great deal for the money impossible to beat it even had the cherry mechanical keyboard.

Great specs for the money when it’s on sale. However the laptop shut down about once an hour randomly while using it and then going to a blue screen saying windows didn’t load correctly. And sometimes it would take me to a bit locker screen where I had to enter an insanely long password and took me 10-15 minutes.. I’ve had lots of windows laptops and desktops. None of them have ever taken me to a bit locker screen. Not to mention 10x in a weekend. I contacted dell who said it was Microsoft’s fault. I find that hard to believe and think they’re just passing the buck. I contacted MS and they say it’s dell’s fault for bad software. No matter how good the deal is for the hardware it simply can’t be relied upon when it could randomly restart at any time. The only reason this gets 2 stars instead if one is because the physical build quality was great and the specs were awesome. I would think that maybe I got a defective unit and exchanged it but after reading reviews here and on other websites this seems to be a common issue. I can see why it was so cheap.

The keyboard and computer lighting customization is one of the coolest laptop I’ve ever had. RUN … DO NOT….WALK the performance is amazing for its price considering this is Alienware. The brand name speaks for itself there are no better looking gaming laptops than this. Graphics are one of the top ones in the market right now, definitely not the HIGHEST HIGHEST but it is amazing compared to most on the market with different live display modes. Only issue is the fan is really loud when you are running really high graphic video games but that’s expected because it is a laptop after all.

Pretty solid gaming laptop , I have owned for half a year now. I have only came to one issue so far and that’s my laptop has decided to act like an emp hit it and will not turn on after putting in sleep mode. Graphics were really good , screen response time was solid , & pc does really well at not overheating, There are modes you can switch from if you wanted the laptop to be silent for school work or class time, or you can throw it in performance which enhances the sound of the turbines it has for fans but this is worth it for long hours of gaming. Movies can be played really well & I would recommend other than my issue which I hope gets resolved soon as it’s week geek squad. Speakers are great & the cool features with customizable colors for your keyboard & lights is also pretty great. I recommend keeping it on charger while gaming or else you’ll find it will die on you at your most crucial moment

Got good deal on open box satisfactory $1171. I like the screen 360 hz 1080p ips 17 inch. Runs well. 3070 ti runs good

Drove 3hrs to get the last one of these laptops so I could play some classic games and maybe some newer ones too. Does everything I want, Xbox game pass and every game I have runs flawlessly.

Excellent gaming laptop. Great for leisure or for business. Customizable light up keyboard is extra bonus. Good battery life for such a powerful laptop. Definitely worth buying if you want a high performance PC with the mobility of a laptop.

I got this as a open box purchase and let me tell you this is such a great laptop. The laptop is heavy but other than that no issues 5⭐️ with a beautiful 17.5 inch screen. I spent 1200 on it and worth every penny

Obviously pretty fast given the specs. Normally wouldnt go with Alienware but found this from an open box deal. As far as computing power its awesome. If youre spending this amount of money for a 1080p display youre probably a competitive gamer. Otherwise just use an hdmi 2.1 out to watch on a normal 4k screen with decent frame rates. Ive noticed on most newer games ill get nice frame rates (between 70-120) with most settings maxed out at 1440p (not all it has to be tweaked as usual per game). Otherwise staring at a 1080p screen feels like gaming 10 years ago.

I love this laptop, it’s fast and works great. I have a couple of projects that I’m working on and the software it’s making the computer freeze.

Awesome! All the power that I wanted. Face ID for more security. Nice design. And It has everything that is supposed to have. Turns on automatically when you open it.

Great Laptop for the price! And easy upgrade-ability. I swapped out the ram and upgraded that 128 gigs of RAM and added another SSD drive with 2TB storage.

It’s been a year since I bought this, so far it runs pretty smoothly and no lags, delays, whatsoever. Great purchase!
