Thoroughly impressed with the performance of this router. I bought one for my home. Get signal at the end of the street 4 homes away. Setup was also ridiculously simple.
Spectrum provides me with 200 mbps. And this router is actually performing above that consistently with 233 on average. It is an incredibly pricey router but the performance it provides is unmatched.
Replaced my eero 6 system (had internet dropping issues). Have had zero issues with the alien 6 in the first 24 hours. For reference the router was installed at 3:29pm so every speed test after that time is with the alien.

I used to have the highly rated M9 plus AC2200 router. The 2 unit mesh covered my 1500sqft 2 storied house. However, it was unable to deliver my internet connection at its fullest. At the farthest point, I was getting about 150 down from a 600 down connection.
I wanted to try out something that can provide me with the range and hence upgraded to the Alien. I have been super happy with the upgrade.
This router(no mesh points) by itself covers my entire house and pushes almost 450 down from my 600 down connection at the farthest corner.
My office is located on the 2nd floor right above the router and I get full up/down speeds on my mac.
The best part is that my 2018 macbook can now take advantage of its 3 antennae. Something I missed in my previous router. 4X4 mimo has its advantages.
The router is super easy to setup. gives enough options for the regular home user(less you are a geeky networking guy). The router looks fabulous. Its almost a show-piece with a nice screen showing network activity and the nice ring light that can be dimmed or shut-off if necessary.
Now, not everything is good with the router. I wished at-least the availability of WPA3 and 160Mhz channel support. I hear that is something Ubiquiti is planning to roll in the future via firmware updates. I also wished that at this price point, the router should support 2.5G WAN or some sort of link aggregation. Consumer internet bandwidth maxes out at 1.2Gigs now. But having the capability wont hurt even if it's a novelty.
Overall, I am pleased with the router's stability and performance. I am happy that it can push most of the bandwidth that I am paying for throughout my house.

This router is awesome, it was the easiest setup I’ve ever done. Took less then 2 mins to setup with my iPhone. The speeds have been exactly where they should be on ethernet cable and WiFi. I’ve had no buffering or connecting issues with any device in my house. I have currently twenty devices connected. 4x Smart TVs, washer, dryer, thermostat, 3 wyze cameras, multiple mobile devices, 2x PS4 Pro and 1x PS5 and a hardwired gaming desktop. Everything stays connected and runs flawlessly at all times. WiFi 6 works great with the PS5 and my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I bought this to replace my Netgear Nighthawk X6 as the flash memory in it wouldn’t hold the settings when resetting or a power outage. Their are cheaper alternatives that offer the same and maybe some more, buts it a sleek device that I have to keep in the open, the app works great, can customize names and icons for all devices connected, and see how their connected, signal strength. I’m very satisfied with my purchase. It’s an eye catcher to everyone and they love the way it looks.

I purchase two so i can run as a mesh network. I have a 3500sq ft home and this might be a little overkill but totally worth it. I've had dead zones in parts of my house like the garage (my gym) and the guest bedroom. With this setup, no more dread zones and I get 700mb in my backyard. I actually get internet 3 houses down from mine. The setup was so easy, I'm confident my 4 year old could have done it. Having a screen on your router is amazing but having touchscreen & the abilities to run a speed test on the screen of your router is next level awesome. Hands down the best router, bar none. 10 stars.

I got this router from Woodland Hills, CA Bestbuy. Honestly, I’m happy with this router. I currently have Spectrum Gigabit Service up to 980MBs. I was using the provided router and the wifi will loose traffic (connected but no internet). I was getting about 300-500mb (wifi) on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Once I set up this AmpliFi Alien router and ran a speed test, I received 776mb up and 40.9mb down on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Which is much better than the Spectrum provided router. The digital screen is nice to show what’s connected (wired/wireless) and other important information. I haven’t dove into the user manual yet regarding the online web portal to access the router. But I’m currently using the app and it’s extremely easy to set up. By default you will only be using one radio (SSID) that will run both 2.4 and 5ghz channel but if you go deeper into the router’s setting you’ll be able to enable a separate 2.4ghz WIFI 6, 5ghz Wifi 6 and 5ghz channel. For now I’m leaving the single channel using both bands since the router is able to assigned the bands for each device without any issues or user intervention. The only downside (Bestbuy) does not have the full mesh bundle, will you will to find another online provider like B&N etc.. who do have the bundle if you really need the additional mesh unit or go directly to AmpliFi and they have it as well. Only time will tell how this router will perform. Will return to update if any major issues come up.

Amplifi is owned by Ubiquiti, and I am a tacit fan of Ubiquiti, and they certainly didn't disappoint with this one. I have recently made the decision to buy 3 more(for an exceptionally wide property). This system operates optimally and gives you hints if you could potentially make the setup better. These routers demolish the Orbis I had from netgear, and it even has a nifty app. Whether the purpose is gaming, streaming, or just getting all of the performance out of your ISP, this one tops the chart.

I bought this router, no mesh, over a year ago. I'm not a speed fanatic or spec guru. I've had dozens of good routers in my life. This router just works. And works and works. I am geek enough to have my ATT fiber bridged to this. I have 1 gig service and always have in the 900's mbps. I also have 61 devices connected currently. Including 13 cameras, 5 stream only TV's, various Apple, sprinklers, Google home and alarm system. No issues. ZERO. The only rebooting I've ever done is when the power goes out or a firmware update! Covers all of my one floor 4 bed home. I think some would be disappointed as it has a 1 gig limit, this would be a waste on ATT 10 gig service. But for running what I do on 1 gig service my home seems perfectly matched to this router. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

Want to get all the speed you are paying for from your internet service provider? Scoop up this router. (We have the att 500 plan, to reference the performance speed picture)
Our old asus mesh network router would pull speeds up to 200, if lucky, on the same plan with the same devices. We have three kids who are heavy into gaming, and streaming videos. The illuminated green ring can be turned off or set to turn off automatically with night mode. The touch screen display can be turned on or off as well. The interface is clean and easy to use, and the profiles work flawlessly to turn on/off or pause the internet for groups of devices at a time. Set up took 3 minutes tops. Enjoy!

Solid WIFI 6 router with onscreen stats

This is an absolute solid wifi 6 router. Super simple to setup and deploy. The inscreen stats while not an absolute must for all, its a huge huge plus. I can see who is using what and signal strength withiut uaving to pull up the app or logging into the router directly. The 8x8 antenna array is powerful and steady. Moreover, what makes me super pleased is its abikity to Channel or frequency hope when it gets crowded. Many routers allow it, but have to be manualky done. Some say they do, but how do you know? You would have to login to check and verify. On the Amplifi, you can see it all at the router.

This is as close to a trouble-free router as you're going to get, now that Apple no longer makes their Airport routers. In recent years, I've gotten used to and accepted as "normal" routers that mysteriously drop client connections, spontaneously reboot, slow to a crawl until you manually restart them, send your wifi and admin passwords to their servers without warning you first, yada yada.
Not this router; it has been rock solid. And performance is also solid—I get 930Mbps from my ISP to the router, and 880Mbps wirelessly from the router to my MacBook in a "crowded" wifi environment (true, my MacBook is only around 20 feet away).
Additionally, unlike most higher performance routers these days it has a decent UI both in the app and on the router itself, it's completely quiet (as far as I can tell). Plus, it doesn't look as much like it's designed to appeal to 13-year-old boys (you can dim or turn off the LED light at the bottom if you want).
Plus it has had fairly regular firmware updates—unheard of!
The only knock on it is that the UI is designed for simplicity and usability, so doesn't expose every single advanced option like some routers do. I'm not going to subtract a star though, because it exposes enough options for most users and the UI's usability is definitely better off as a result.
If you want a router you can set up and promptly forget it exists, this is it!.

AmpliFi Router Products are the best that you can buy, I just purchased two of these AmpliFi Alien Routers and am planning to purchase a third to setup to add to a mesh network in a house that I recently purchased. Just for grins, I have been testing just one of them in a 6500 sq ft house, the AmpliFi Alien covers the whole house at user acceptable speeds, but after testing it for a while with just one, I will be adding the second, then test with that for a while before installing the third. I am an EE engineer, so am curious what results I will get before all three are setup. I have an AmpliFi HD router and two mesh points which I previously used at a 5500 sq ft house for several years, worked like a champ, now I have that one installed in a Beach Condo, it helps majorly with the interference from close neighbors versus using the complete piece of junk WiFi router provided by the Cable Company Comcast/Xfinity. Do not understand why ANYONE uses a cable company provided WiFi Router, they basically just provide the bare minimum service to be able to claim that they function. But I guess they can satisfy folks that do not understand the technology. In the photo you will see my main Amplifi Alien Router

I bought this AmpliFi Alien so my network would work better. The setup was really quick. It was completely plug and play. The router is fast and the display looks Amazon! Replaced a Netgear Nighthawk XR1000 Pro Gaming Router. My only gripe llis the router page or the libel application are really blain. No DMZ mode and no real advanced configuration yet

Works very well for WiFi improvements over COX built in WiFi! Doubled from 220mbps to 440mbps!! WiFi 6 saves battery and increases speed , this thing is a MONSTER ROUTER with ability to broadcast 6 simultaneous networks !! It’s amazing and supports 249 devices also so it’s a game changer for me !! LONG range , great price , amazing app with lots of idiot proof features, and the yellow greenish light is a nice touch !! COX only gives you WiFi 5 and it seems to cap out at 220-240mbps no matter what which is strange ... but this immediately makes it NOTICEABLY FASTER ! Even just browsing the web !

This router from Ubiquity was easy to set up and has a unique look with cool features. It has a long range and tested on both a 1G and 100MBps service.
The AmpliFi app is easy to use and also has some unique feature. You can control the LCD screen & LED light, set night mode to turn on/off display and turn on at specified times. WPS for Wi-Fi setup of network devices without entering passwords. The app even has a built in speed test feature.
LCD touchscreen shows internet status, connected devices, device uptime, temperature and other statistics.
It's impressive look is completely different from other routers.
I love my Alien.. Uptime as of this review 36 days, 8 hours, 19 minutes. "Everything is great"

Simply an amazing router! Bought it to replace my Netgear AC3200 that I bought just a few months ago but unfortunately did not live up to its standards. Constant speed drops and after multiple resets and firmware updates and downgrades I decided to go for a new router.
After multiple searches around here I came across this Amplifi Alien. Immediately caught my attention with its sleek look and green light. After reading multiple reviews I decided to go for it. Best decision I ever made.
Set up was easy and took a few minutes once it updated to current firmware and making some adjustments to the wireless settings. I love the display. It shows the current time was well as a graph of your network and some devices that are connected. Of course the best part is that it maintains a constant speed and I get exactly what I pay for. I have the 400mbps from Spectrum but I get just a little over that. My previous router could not give me that. I provided screenshots of some recent speed tests I have done since getting this router on the 1st of March as well as some previous speed tests done on my Netgear router.
Will definitely purchase products from Ubiquidi in the future.

OMG! I upgraded from Amplifi HD to Alien and this unit is packed with features, tons of youtube video reviews for all these features. One that stands out is that you can create multiple SSID's and dedicate specific WiFi 6 Devices. Supports Wired Backhaul +++ I purchased three of these to blanket our property. With older HD units I had four for the same coverage. So definitely the range on the Alien is much better.

My experience and review is using a single unit with Wave G: It was quite easy to set up and I’m finally getting the speed I’m paying for. My previous router a Orbi was not keeping up with my the 1GB/s from my provider. I was getting around 700 Mbps on the router itself but even connected devices via cable were not going past the sub 200 mark. This one is keeping up and although it was expensive I’m happy with the purchase as it is much faster. Also it improved the speeds on my non wifi 6 devices. And on my phone I’m now getting around 300mbps on my iPhone 11 where before it would barely hit 100.

This router is awesome. Okay I admit its touch screen was a big pull. It looks cool. However this isn't just a good looking tech bauble. It works really well. My wireless has been a lot more stable and I have seen speed increases in my newer devices like my iPhone 11 and PS5. The interface is really clean. The phone app is easy to use and simple to setup. It has a night mode where the LED and LCD can be turned off on a schedule. You can also just turn it off all together if you like.
