Brother laser printer with many features.

After some bad experiences with other brands of printers (which had so many complicated features that they often malfunctioned), I decided to try this Brother. It also has a lot of features, but as far as I can tell so far, they are fairly simple to access and so far, at least, they actually work. The wireless connectivity was a breeze. This printer won't get used a lot, and laser printers are supposed to be more immune to drying out than inkjets. But because of the infrequent use, I haven't subscribed to the Refresh Subscription and can't comment on that. It can take awhile to truly assess a printer, but I will say that so far, I am very pleased.

Black and White printer for the win

I bought this printer recently however it did not arrive the day it was suppose to. Keep in mind this was on December 24 which I understood and didnt mind. However the printer actually got lost in transit and I had to get a new printer shipped to me after I gave a call to Best Buy explaining the situation. This printer has been great for my uses although a bit pricey for what I need. I only use this printer to print but it can fax, scan, copy. The issue I have with this printer is using the buttons on it. The printer would show add new paper prompt and i either select yes or no. But when I add more paper into the printer, I cant select yes or no. The printer doesnt register any of the buttons I press. I dont mind because i dont use the printer for anything more than printing. Also I use my pc to print or do anything I need to do on my printer so I dont mind. Just gets a bit irritaing

Outstanding printer wish I would have done color

Wish I would have gotten the color printer but it was pricy overall. I do think this printer simple to setup and works outstanding. We were tired of inkjet cartridges and constant failures of my cheaper printers. I think you get what you pay for with the lower budget printers. This seems solid and working well! It’s worth the money if you don’t need color printing!

As with most Brother products, I am satisfied with the MFC-L2710DW. Price-wise, it is a solid deal. And I prefer the Brother scanning software to Epson and Canon for its flexibility in creating custom scan settings. It is always a little quirky to install Brother drivers and software. And I think this installation may have impacted the older Control Center for my other Brother products, so I need to confirm if that is or is not the case. That said, it is full featured with laser printing, sheet-feed and flatbed scanning, and even faxing (which, I still use on occasion for sending to government and medical organizations). If you've used other Brother products, it's comfortable and familiar. And it's none of that stupid ink subscription nonsense. Also, the purchase and pickup process at Best Buy was fine, so I am happy there as well.

The best brother you could ask for

Absolutely love this brother. I've also owned several inkjet printers, but the problem was the color ink would dry out since I didn't really use it. I would need to buy a replacement for the color ink cartridge for the printer to work at all although I mostly needed to print in grayscale. This guy requires ink toner and lasts a very long time. I'm still using the same toner I purchase in Sept 2020 and here we are in April 2021. Makes my life so much easier to print shipping labels and documents quickly. I highly recommend it, plus it holds a ton a paper so there's no need to keep refilling it.

I recently purchased the Brother MFC-L2710DW Wireless Black-and-White All-in-One Laser Printer from Best Buy, and it has been a fantastic addition to my office setup. As someone who regularly needs efficient and reliable printing solutions, this printer has met all my expectations. The installation process was straightforward and user-friendly. I was particularly impressed with its wireless capabilities, allowing me to print from different devices and locations in my home. This feature is incredibly convenient and helps streamline my workflow. The print quality of the MFC-L2710DW is excellent. It delivers sharp, clear black-and-white prints that are perfect for professional documents. As a busy professional, the clarity and consistency of the printouts are crucial, and this printer does not disappoint. One of the standout features of this printer is its all-in-one functionality. The ability to print, scan, copy, and fax with a single device is a significant space and cost saver. This multifunctionality is especially beneficial for someone like me who needs to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The printing speed is another aspect where this Brother printer shines. It handles large printing jobs with ease, which is essential for maintaining productivity. The automatic document feeder and duplex printing are additional features that enhance its efficiency, saving both time and paper. The compact size of the MFC-L2710DW is worth mentioning. It fits perfectly in my office without taking up too much space, a major plus for smaller work areas. Lastly, the Refresh Subscription Eligibility is a convenient option, ensuring I never run out of toner. This service, along with the overall reliability and low maintenance of the printer, adds to the hassle-free experience. In summary, the Brother MFC-L2710DW from Best Buy is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a compact, efficient, and reliable black-and-white all-in-one laser printer. It offers great value for its price and is a dependable tool for any professional or home office. Highly recommended!

Purchased this item August 2021, used it maybe 15 times since and i tried using it thus morning and won't power up. The original ink cartridge that came with it is still in thats how little I used the machine. Definitely won't be purchasing brother products again.

DOA right out of the box.

Looked good and I was excited to get it. Noticed damage to the box when I took possession at the delivery location. It was DOA out of the box. Probably fluke but when I powered it up it said, "PRINT UNABLE 01" on the screen. It would not come up and say "READY". I called and talked to the geek squad and they didn't have any useful ideas; actually wanted me to connect my computer and allow them to take remote control; I didn't even get that far...the multi-function Brother device was never connected to my PC! Brother website said there was a mechanical fault. It looked to be well designed and constructed with quality materials but I could not get it to come to READY; therefore, I felt any further attempts at configuration would be pointless. I had to return it.

Pretty good machine... except for the bypass feed!

I bought this printer when moving to working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. I needed something that would print and scan, as well as print on envelopes and have a bypass feed for me to print checks. I found the setup to be easy. From other reviews, I learned you just need to follow the directions step by step and you'll be fine. The basic printing and copying functions work without an issue. And I love that you can scan multiple pages at a time, a must-have for the work I do. It took a bit for me to figure out how to scan but after playing around a while, I figured it out so it scans and pops up a pdf on my computer screen, exactly what I wanted it to do. It's a plus that it scans in color, even though it's not a color copier. I haven't tried printing labels yet, but will be doing soon. I am anxious to see how it performs on that. There are a few cons to consider. I can run envelopes through the bypass feed, but every one of them comes out wrinkled. I had read this in another review, so I wasn't surprised, but it is rather annoying. The printer will accept both letter and legal size paper, but since there is only one tray, you can't have both sizes ready to go in the printer. You have to switch them out when you want to print on a different size printer. But I guess that comes with the size of the printer. I was used to a more heavy duty printer with two trays, so this was a step back for me. My biggest complaint is the bypass feed. QUITE often when I attempt to use it, the printer thinks there is a paper jam and makes me pull the paper back out, open the printer to clear the jam that isn't there, and start over. This has happened so many times that sometimes I just quit and either load what I need to print on into the tray (face down, feet first so it prints on it correctly) or just hand write whatever I was trying to print (in the case of envelopes). I am used to using a bypass feed multiple times per day, so this slows me down and is quite a disappointment. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. Due to it's weight of only about 25 lbs, it has allowed me to move my work space upstairs into a bedroom. I had originally brought my work printer home with me, but that one is about 50 lbs and too heavy and bulky to bring upstairs and working in my dining room was not a great option. Plus, it didn't scan. Pros - weight, size, copying, printing, and scanning in color are great Cons - bypass feed is very temperamental, only one paper tray so you have to switch out letter and legal every time you want to print on a different size paper
