We were looking for a new color laser and wanted a MFD so we didn’t have to have more than one device taking up room and along came the new Canon MF753Cdw printer so we decided to give it a shot. Unboxing: The box it arrived in is very heavy duty and protected the printer even with some obvious handling damage by the carrier. You may want to get two people to get this out and placed as this is a large and heavy printer. Inside there’s the printer, encased in a Styrofoam frame along with a quick setup guide, CD with drivers/software, power cord, and telephone cord. All the print cartridges were pre-installed and nothing was damaged or spilled. Now this is not a light printer at all and actually comes shipped up on it’s end, to get the printer out you have to open the box, remove included materials then lay the box on it’s side “being careful which side is up” and slide the printer out. This makes if easy to remove as lifting it straight out of the box would be tough, the printer itself is inside a heavy plastic bag. Setting up: Now after unboxing you have to remove a quite a few strips of tape holding everything in place, and you’ll want to double check to see you have them all removed before plugging in and turning on. After that just plug in and it powers right up. Then just follow the onscreen menu for getting it either connected to your wireless network or use a “not included" patch cord to connect to your network router/switch, “we are using the hardwired connection since it’s placed close to the router”. The Wi-Fi setup is straight forward and easy to use, and great that it’s included so you can setup this printer in a remote location away from a hardwired connection. As soon as we had the network connected the printer informed me that it had a firmware update available, so I went ahead and let it run through that. Then just connect the phone line to a jack or in our case to our VOIP box. Next, you’ll want to install the software on your computer. I’ve always gone directly to the manufacturers website and download the newest version of the software; it beats installing from CD and then having to update it again. The full download is available on the Cannon support website and it’s approximately a 270mb download. Just run the file after downloading and select how your printer is going to be connected. If you are using the USB port “cable not included” then you’ll want to install the software / drivers before connecting to your computer. Using: The printer has a 250-page tray, and under the front cover is a 50 sheet “multipurpose” tray that you can easily adjust for other sizes including envelopes. Behind the multipurpose tray is where you access the cartridges and a simple push of a button that back panel comes down and you can easily slide out all the toner cartridges in one unit, very easy to access and change the cartridges. The first “quick” test I did was to do a full color copy of a magazine cover and we about fell over for just how fast it scanned and printed that copy; it completed the whole process in 3-4seconds, which is just amazing. My first thought was that it did that so fast there’s no way it’s going to look good, boy was I wrong. To us that copy looked as though the printer actually made it better. My parents happen to be over and my mom “thankfully still with us”, when I was a child used to do color portrait retouching and before there were large scale color photography available, she would colorize large B&W photos using special dyes, so she’s extremely good at judging color and print quality. When I asked her to look at the copy and the original she studied them very closely and said “the copy is better than the original”, finer grain, colors looked a little better but wished she had the original to really judge them, otherwise she was amazed how well this new Cannon copied that magazine cover. I also did a copy with our color inkjet using the same paper and there’s no real compairson at all, maybe if I used photo paper for that then it would be close but then you are having to spend extra for the glossy photo paper. Next, we started printing everyday items, and this printer is so fast at regular document printing it makes everything else we’ve owned look ancient and so slow. Text is super sharp any grey scale or color images on the same page just look amazing. Our color inkjet is rated around 17ppm, and it seems like it takes forever to get the first page out, then it prints pretty good, “and we had gotten used to that”, when I printed a 10-page document with the Cannon I just couldn’t believe it was done in probably around 10-12 seconds “crazy”. I also printed a 26-page document, but had it print double sided to test out that function and from start to finish “already warmed up” it took 54 seconds to print one side and then the other “a lot faster if you are only printing one side but that’s pretty fast for doing a double sided print. Using the scanner and ADF is fast and amazingly can do both sides in a single pass. If you open up the scanner lid you can see there’s a second scanning element in the top of the printer, “have not seen that before” and doing a double-sided copy is just about as fast as doing a single page, and a lot faster than having to flip pages over manually. Scans come out very accurate, just like the copy function and the windows interface is easy to use with more than plenty of settings to fit your needs, you can even scan an ID card and have it combine front / back on a single page. There’s even a “stitch” function where you can take a item larger than the scan bed and scan it multiple times then stitch all the scans back into one large image/document “this worked pretty well” but you have to be sure to het your alignments right for each scan. Faxing is pretty much just like any other fax machine I’ve used, it’s nice to have a large touchscreen for this as the last one I used the 2.5” touchscreen made it hard to use unless you were using the PC interface. I’m also pleased that faxing worked with our VOIP box as some fax machines have issues sending through it, this one had no problems, anymore it’s actually sort of hard to find someone to send a fax to so that won’t be used much at all but nice that it’s there and ready. Conclusion: This new Canon printer is a superb machine that really impressed us and justifies the price they are asking for it. The printer did come with a full Black cartridge which is good for 2100 pages, the color cartridges are not full “starter” units and have a 1100 page limit, compared to the 1900 page of the full normal cartridge I sort of wonder why a full one wasn’t included anyway. But consumables are not that badly priced. I checked around and the black standard one is around $85, the full 1900 page color cartridges are around $100ea so not too bad and that’s quite a bit of printing, and you don’t have to worry about a cartridge drying out “as we’ve had with other inkjet printers we’ve owned”, if you don’t print that much. Cannon does offer “high capacity” cartridges, and the price for those is pretty steep, “$174 for black and $220 color” but you end up getting more than three cartridges worth “7600 pages black 5500 pages color” that would be a nice savings if you do a lot of printing. There’s also an app available “Cannon PRINT Business” that worked great with either our Samsung phones or tablets, and made it easy to print documents from them, even remotely. Plus you have the ability to Scan and Fax from it also. There are so many adjustments, tweaks and options you have with this printer I could almost write a book about everything this printer has and can do, and best of all it comes with a 3 year warranty. So if you are looking for an outstanding color MFC laser printer I’d put the new Canon MF753Cdw at the top of your list.

The Canon imageClass printer/scanner/faxer does a lot of things right but falls just short of perfection. To start out with the good this machine is absolutely perfect for a small business where everyone has to print things constantly. It does an amazing job with color prints and is crazy fast when it comes to black and white or color. I didn't have any hiccups or issues once the printer was on the same network as my multiple PC. It actually felt like the wifi connection was just as good as being hard wired in when it came to the computers recognizing a printer was there and what it could do. Secure print worked flawlessly since its handled on the PC side and you can configure it from there. The fit and feel of the imageCLASS is nice and solid and being able to add an extra trey make it that much more of a must have for business. The imageCLASS also does a great job with copying document (color/black white) the colors are an exact match and there is no streaking or waiting for anything to dry. Airprint for Macs worked great and the printer was seen by all 4 different Mac devices. One of the biggest selling points that Canon doesn't seem to showcase is the touchscreen on the imageCLASS MF753Cdw it is amazing and something you have to use, the precision of the touch screen almost makes it feel like a modern smartphone touch screen. Now to come to the side where canon can make improvements.....the software. The software is not user friendly at all, even when downloading the setup software from Canon it is just a pain to get everything working. The imageCLASS also only has wifi 4 which makes downloading updates slow (the printer took 17 mins to download 242 MB and im on a GB connection) With a wireless printer all setup should be easy to do wireless and that isn't the case here. You almost need to have a spare print/usb wire laying around to get full use of the product. I would like to think that the issues with the software can be fixed by Canon's software team and that is the only thing keeping this All in one laser printer being a must have for all small businesses.

This is an amazing 4-in-1 Color Laser Printer. It is simply the swiss army knife of 4-in-1 color laser printers. The text quality and image quality (color or B&W) is excellent. This printer is right at home in any home office or small to medium sized business office. (I feel it could also be used as a single department's standalone printer for a larger business as well.) It is a high throughput (up to 35 ppm) that can withstand a lot of paper output for a business. It has all of the features and functions that an IT department would look for in a printer like this too. It has the capability for an IT person to do many things remotely as well. I work from home and travel to client sites. When I am in my home office, I use a B&W laser printer for high quality print. Then, I have a 4-in-1 color inkjet printer for all other functions; color print, copying, faxing, and scanning. This printer has just replaced both of my current printers and seriously upped my output. I print a lot of documents with mixed text and graphics. I also print a lot of labels, envelopes, and use letterhead and special bond paper. So, I use a multipurpose tray heavily for envelopes, letterhead, and special paper. In addition, I copy and scan several hundred pages at a time with a document feeder. In the printers I've used in the past, these two parts seem to experience most of the problems (i.e., errors, misfeeds, and breaks). During the 5 days I've used the Canon MF753Cdw, I didn't experience any misfeeds or problems. Both, the document feeder and multipurpose tray worked flawlessly. Not even a paper jam! I feel the scanner is an absolute standout on this printer. The image quality is amazing and the Canon Scan Utility software makes everything easy and captures it the way I need (PDF, JPG, Tiff, or PNG). To test the image quality, I took a 4" x 6" postcard that I scanned, enlarged it and printed it onto letter sized paper, than scanned that 8.5" x 11" paper into a JPG file. The color and image quality of the resulting JPG image is virtually identical to the original 4" x 6" (see attached photos). I thought the MF753Cdw's screen was very easy to use and it worked very well. I really liked that you could customize and move the icons around on each panel and even rename the panels to what makes sense for your office. This printer has all of the advanced functions that many business printers have. For example, you can copy 1-sided to 2-sided, etc. You can even copy 1 or 2-sided documents to multiple pages to a single page. (i.e., a 100 page document can be copied onto 25 pages, 4 to a page). This is really great for proof reading my large documents and conserving paper. The MF753Cde was very easy to setup and configure. It took me less than 2 hours to be up and printing. The automatic setup takes you through most everything you need. Then the online manual helps you finetune the little things. The supplied software (or downloadable if you want the most recent updates) provides drivers, remote scanning software, and links to the online manual and remote setup and configuration tools. Loading the toner cartridges is via a easy, pullout no-mess tray. This is much improved over my old color laser printer. Overall, I am very pleased and absolutely love this printer. I would certainly recommend this printer to anyone looking for a heavy duty, high quality print and image quality, color laser printer.

For a printer with this feature set, it is very compact. The footprint is barely any more than just a laser printer. As for setup and use so easy you don’t need IT staff, that is more questionable. It does have support for mobile printing on both iPhone and Android but there is no indication if scanning works on mobile as well. Setup The most basic setup isn’t too difficult. You choose how you are connecting hardwired or wireless. If you are connecting wirelessly then you just choose your Wi-Fi name and enter your password. Strangely, the printer doesn’t understand modern mesh Wi-Fi. Instead of just showing the Wi-Fi it shows every access point separately which can be confusing. Considering this is a business printer and mesh Wi-Fi is common in business networks this is a bit strange and might even explain why the printer occasionally shows offline. After adding it to the network you have two routes you can take. You can either use the default drivers and utilities included with Windows or MacOS or install the drivers and software from Canons’ website. A CD-rom is also included if your system still has one. Installing via the built in options in Windows and MacOS was painless. You just search for the printer, and if found, it set it up for you with the basic drivers. There is no Windows Store app available so you just get the basic functions. If you want to use the drivers provided by Canon for more functionality, things get more finicky and technical. First of all, on Windows 11 the printer driver installed and could see the printer but couldn’t install it. This prevented MF Scan from working as it needs the printer drivers. The entire process feels antiquated including software installation. If you have seen driver installers from Windows XP, this process would feel very familiar. MacOS worked a little better and installed but then had trouble finding the printer. Once it was able to find the printer the MF Scan Utility worked without issues, but MF Toolbox could never find the scanner. It really seems like if you want the simplest option then you are better off skipping installing the Canon drivers and utilities and instead just using the built in ones from your OS of choice. The front screen comes with default options. You can adjust many things directly from the touchscreen, but it is easier to do this via what Canon calls RemoteUI. This is not only because many features are only configurable in RemoteUI, but also because the touchscreen is slow and tends to interpret scrolling or swiping as taps. RemoteUI is just the printers built in website for changing settings the same as printers have been for years. While functional, this isn’t exactly easy to configure for the non-technical person. Setting up Cloud services similarly isn’t the most straightforward process. First, it must be done through RemoteUI in the Application Library which is only visible in System Manager Mode and it isn’t as simple as connecting to a cloud service and you make a choice on the printer afterwards. You must configure buttons for each action you would like to perform specifically. For example, you need to create a button to do a singled sided scan and save it to your Google Drive. If you want to be able to do a double-sided scan or even change the format or resolution, you must create more buttons. For each option you would like to perform with your cloud service you also have to give a unique button group name, which is not used, and reconnect to the same cloud service which was used for the previous button. While the process works, it could do with some streamlining. Usage and Performance While setup is not as user friendly as marketing would lead you to believe, daily usage is the opposite. Occasionally the printer doesn’t wake from sleep and shows offline on the first try, but this is a minor nuisance. Most of the time, when you choose to print it wakes up extremely fast and the pages start coming out within a handful of seconds. Print quality is very good as well. Text and pictures have a slight gloss with good color uniformity making prints look more professional instead of dull and flat like some laser printers. This is likely also because as part of the setup process the printer creates a calibration page which you scan in ensuring prints are as color accurate as possible. The main issue you might run into is needing to refill the paper tray because it prints so fast. Scanning produces sharp results. Scans come out clean and remove most creases and noise without sacrificing sharpness. If you have spent time configuring the touchscreen buttons, the process is very easy. You can load up what you want to scan, tap the cloud account you want to upload to, and you are done. If you have your options set up, the process is seamless. Another nice feature is how the scanner, output tray, toner, and paper drawer all face the same direction. Also, changing toner doesn’t require opening half the printer either. All you do is open and door and pull out a tray. If you have ever dealt with changing toner by opening a hinge that lifts half the printer ready to fall back down, you can imagine how much simpler a toner tray is. Final Thoughts While calling the MF753Cdw simple enough to set up without technical knowledge is a bit of a stretch, once setup up the results produced are hard to beat. There are areas where the process could use refinement and simplification but if you are in the market for a compact laser printer that produces very good results quickly the MF753Cdw is worth a look.

The Canon imageCLASS MF753Cdw is a Multifunction Color laser printer with fax, copier that works with wired and wireless networks. Unpacking was easy, open the tob of the box, flip it to its side, pull the printer out, strip of plastic nags and put it in its forever place (this thing is 50 lbs!) setup is very easy where you can either use the CD that was sent with the printer, or just go to Canon website and download the most recent software and drivers. setup took about 5 minutes and I chose to setup this MFD while on wireless. when you turn the printer on it will ask you to connect to a wireless network if it didnt recognize a wired network. once installation is over, you can print a test page and it will ask to color calibrate and align itself which is also great. best features: - the scanner can scan using the fltabed or the auto paper feeder. the scanner is fast with decent quality 600*600 DPI for color or black white scanning. that goes for both feeder and flatbed. - copier/ printer is FAST: first print takes less than 10 seconds and at full speed I could get 35 prints per minute. - Colors are vivid for color and photo printing. I have a laser Samsung C43X, this Canon is miles ahead in terms of speed, color accuracy and sharpness. albeit the Samsung is half the size of this Canon and is 2 years older. - Wireless printing works great! after the Software update that I got 2 days ago, the wireless printing and the printing interface/ controls over all is very good. - the cartridge are on the expensive side, but I think they will take long time before needing replacement. - the Printer has 3 years full warrantee, this is unheard of in business class MFD's and a great welcome! - the printer has a huge 5 inch touch screen to access all functions and setting. Cons: - drum/ waste tray/ print toners are on the expensive side, but i believe its worth it for a small business. - there is no USB printer cable included in the box so if you are relying on local usb connection, better have a cable ready. - the printer is bulky and heavy, if your home office is small, this is an over kill for you. conclusion: this is a great MFD for a busy home office/ or a business that prints less than 30,000 prints per year and need a color option that is fast. with continued software update this could be the best deal in town.

The Canon Color ImageClass MF753cdw is a solid office printer that’s equally at home in a SOHO as it is a small business. It features your standard affair of upper mid-range laser printer features, including duplex printing and scanning. It offers pretty high end features in a fairly compact chassis (compact for a color laser that is, it’s still big). SOHO may be a stretch for some here, as its footprint is pretty large at 17”x17”x17” and 48lbs. That said, in that packaging you get an auto document feeder (ADF) with duplex scanning, a flatbed scanner, duplex printing, WiFi and wired networking, and multiple USB ports (host and client). It comes with a power cable, and phone cable for the integrated fax. Unfortunately I haven’t had a landline to fax with so I cannot comment on the fax feature. Connectivity is available multiple ways. You get the ye-ol USB connection, which I didn’t even try, WiFi, and gigabit wired ethernet. I used the WiFi connectivity primarily because I felt like it’s the most common use case, but I did have good luck with the gigabit adapter as well. Frankly, if you can use a wired network with a printer like this, you should, but I had no problems via WiFil. Getting connected initially was as easy as following a few steps on the printer, and putting in the WiFi password. The touchscreen on board helps walk you through setup. I found the touchscreen to be a resistive sort, which felt imprecise when using my fingers. A stylus would be better, but who keeps a stylus for a printer. Setup was relatively easy. The interface is tabbed and highly configurable. You can edit which functions and ‘apps’ are accessible from the touchscreen. The home screen gives you access to the real normal features you’d access from the device: scanning, and copying. AirPrint worked right out of the box. My iPhone and iPad saw the printer immediately and printed successfully. Windows 11 found the printer instantly and set it up successfully. The same was true of MacOS. Duplex printing worked like a charm in all these scenarios and printing was flawless on all these platforms. I went a step further and downloaded the Windows 11 drivers for the printer. This opened up some more advanced settings buried in legacy printer driver panels. But the real extra settings are found in the System Manager Remote UI which is accessible via web browser. You need to first configure an access pin on the touchscreen ([Management Settings] [License/Other] [Remote UI Settings] [Restrict Access]). Here you can see toner levels, printer status, configure advanced settings, LDAP integration, all sorts of business settings. This also provides a nifty drag and drop interface for customizing the tabs and screens on the touchscreen. Overall there was a lot of thought put into this firmware to manage the more advanced pieces. So how is print quality? In general for a laser, pretty good. Text is crisp, but certain fonts don’t print quite as well as others. This is in the default quality that 35ppm is rated at. If you adjust the quality a bit, you get better results, but it is slightly slower. Images are crisp, but slightly duller than their source. Laser’s aren’t known to be photo printers, so don’t expect to print framed photos. Art projects for school or other assignments, this printer will wow however. The key to the Canon is fast and solid images. First page is rated out at 7 seconds, which is pretty accurate. Duplex printing is quick with a page taking about 5 seconds to fully spit out. Speed printing at 35ppm will eat up your paper tray in a few minutes, as it only holds 250 sheets. The included toner is a standard 069 cartridge toner. This is good for about 2000 pages give or take. Each toner is about $100, so like most laser printers, you’ll be in for about $400-500 for a full set of toner. The good new is you get lots of pages, and great standby time. So if you find your needs are printing in spirts, the laser doesn’t care if it’s been sitting for 4 months. The toner doesn’t dry out like inkjets. I’ve gotten great life out of color lasers, and I’m sure the Canon is going to serve me for quite a while. Overall I'd recommend the MF753Cdw. It prints, scans, and copies quite well and is very accessible. It isn't quite as user friendly as a Brother, or honed quite as well as an HP, but it offers all the same features at a compelling price with affordable toner.

I’ve always been told that laser jet printers could not compete with desk jets when it comes to image quality, as they are meant mostly for business. Thus, I was curious to test this Canon imageCLASS MF753Cdw printer and see how it compared with a higher-end desk jet from Epson. Setup was easy due to the touch screen menus directing each step of the way. There was an option to print a scan sheet to optimize scan quality. Installing the computer drivers was likewise easy; however, compared to my desk jet where everything was automatic, this process required manual step-by-step participation. It is worth mentioning that Canon brilliantly placed a firmware update icon right in the menu folders. Many other printers bury this update in a hard-to-find location within the settings. To test the print quality, I used a photo I took in the fall and printed it using the highest image quality setting possible and fitting the image to page. The laser jet produced a vivid image within seconds, while the desk jet took over half a minute to print. I used plain paper to print the photo, but the laser jet’s picture seemed to have almost a sheen to it, like it was printed on photo paper. The sky color was true to the actual photo, and the leaves were more defined. In contrast, the image produced by the desk jet was blurrier and washed out. To test the scan quality, I scanned the same photo and compared it to the original. The scanned copy lost some of its vividness and looked more brown; however, the picture was still pretty impressive, as can be seen in my example. Since I don’t have a phone line, I was unable to review the fax feature. I was rather impressed with this unit’s print and scan quality and speed. In the future I hope that Canon can make scan send to a folder a little more user-friendly. I have no problem recommending this printer as a replacement for a desk jet.

I’m using this printer at the office and its very fast and the colors are vibrant! I scan from this printer to any computer on the network and its very quick and easy. The only downside is toner cost…

Canon has released a new laser printer: Color ImageCLASS MF753Cdw. It has a TON of settings that you might normally see in an office printer and actually performs as good as a bigger and more expensive office printer.The box includes the printer, installation CD, power cord, RJ-11 phone cable, setup guide and other paperwork. The printer comes with a manufacturer's 3-year warranty. PROS: ----------- * Printouts are very crisp, colors are vibrant * There are TOO many options to even list for this printer. It is a serious contender for a great home office printer that can literally do anything. Listing every option in the Remote UI would take pages to explain everything.... which bring me to: * The User Manual. It's only available online. You get a quick setup guide, but if you get into the weeds like I did, you will need the full manual located at the Canon website under the Support section. Even then, you may need support. * Even though it looks tight, you can put a full ream of paper in the main front tray. * Ability to print/scan/fax/copy to whatever medium you need whether it be a USB thumb drive, email, paper, etc. It has all the options. * It will work with Win8.1/10/11 amongst others. * It's ethernet-capable or wifi. If you cable it up, it's simply plug and play. If you use wifi, basic setup is done at the beginning... then a Firmware update was done on mine, restarted, then ready to go. * At 35ppm, that's great for a home printer. My current printer was getting 42ppm and that was the top-end a few years ago. I haven't seen many laser printers this quality/price print this fast. * You can setup your own menus on the touch screen. Put what matters to you where you want so you don't have to search for items embedded on other screens. * Feeding documents into the top feeder worked like a charm for scanning/copying documents. I had no issues of paper getting jammed so far. * If you need to use legal size paper, there is a manual feeder you can use on the front... also great for envelopes and other size paper. CONS: ----------- * Setup can be a slight headache if dealing with networking/SMTP issues if you don't know exactly which options to check. I had to call in a couple of times before getting the correct answer from tech support. If you want to SCAN-to-EMAIL, you need to log into the Remote UI, go to Network Settings, set SMTP TX: to 587 (it defaults to 25). Then go to TX SETTINGS and fill out the SMTP server, email, SMTP email/pw, and ALSO need to check the USE TLS FOR SMTP TX. My issue was that I tried to create my SMTP server with :587 on the end of it (as the port), but the printer setup didn't like that. Once that was changed, SCAN-to-EMAIL worked perfectly. * I like how this Remote UI interface is so advanced; however, I wish there was a better and simpler way of getting into a GUI interface without having to login every time, and eventually it times out. * I do not like that this printer beeps every time it prints. I went into the Sound Volume Control settings, and turned off everything; however, when printing, it still beeps. The printer is loud enough as it is, so I don't need annoying and high pitch beeps each time an item prints. * Along with the beeps when printing, it does make a lot of noise when it awakes or boots up. * The touch display is great, but the touch areas are a little off on my unit. If I want to select something I have to press a little higher than the graphic for it to select correctly. * The menu is a bit cumbersome to learn as there are so many options available. Using the Remote UI is definitely a bit easier to setup and use than the touch screen. OTHER OBSERVATIONS: ----------- * It's heavy-duty and it's heavy, weighing in just under 50 lbs. * I do not have a home phone anymore, so I was unable to use the fax. All other functions worked great. CONCLUSION: ===================== I'm still breaking in many of the vast features this beast has to offer, and there are plenty. I'm impressed with the options available. If you need to print/scan/copy/fax, once setup, everything is pretty seamless. Getting setup isn't the easiest of chores if you're not tech-savvy, especially understanding the Remote UI interface which can use a System Manager mode or a General User Mode. It's great for not allowing people to make changes in err in being a "general user"... but I wish there was a way to bypass the UI login if the user wanted to. Overall, an incredible printer that gives the options for many users to use in whatever way necessary. I have only seen 1 home office printer better than this one from another brand... I like what I see, and I like the fact that is not an inkjet printer. Having said that, this would be at the top of my list of top home printers. Great work Canon.

The Canon MF753Cdw is a sizeable color laser printer. Despite only having one 250-sheet capacity paper tray by default, (a 500-sheet second tray is optional), it rivals the size of my large, dual-tray multi-function inkjet printer. Despite the large size, it does not take up an enormous footprint, due to most of the size being height rather than width. Despite the large size, the MF753Cdw is both Energy Star and EPEAT Silver compliant. The printer was easy to set up out of the box and ships with the toner cartridges pre-installed. I was able to easily connect to WiFi using the touchscreen panel. Connectivity options include WiFi, ethernet, WiFi-direct and USB. Features include a large 5” color touchscreen panel, automatic document feeder, scan/copy/fax/print, 3-year warranty, 35 ppm print speed, auto-duplexing, and USB port for USB direct printing. Another enormously useful feature is secure print. It stores a print job in memory where it can only be retrieved and printed by entering a PIN. This allows safely sending print jobs containing private or sensitive data to areas with other people around without the fear of anyone seeing it other than the PIN holder. If using Windows, this feature is enhanced even further by encrypting the print job with an alpha-numeric password for stronger security and to prevent interception during transport. Performance has been solid. Print speeds are good and the printer has maintained a reliable WiFi connection so far. I have yet to encounter the dreaded “printer offline” message like I experienced with a few previous printers, including the more expensive business class inkjet this replaced. Print quality is also good with nice crisp graphics with straight, clean lines. Black text is excellent but color printing, images and photos in particular, are mediocre. It isn’t terrible but it’s not all that great either. I was offered the option to use color correction during the initial setup. However, assuming it would use a lot of toner to configure and considering that the printer ships with starter color cartridges, I declined. I doubt it would be much help for print quality anyhow because it only seems applicable to color copies. I’m hoping color quality improves after the machine has had a longer break-in period. The MF753Cdw is compatible with the Canon Print Business app, which offers remote printing and scanning among other capabilities. The MF753Cdw can also be configured for automatic toner replenishment but the service must be set up beforehand before it can be managed through the printer. The only negative I encountered besides the mediocre color quality is the control panel, which isn’t the best. The touchscreen soft buttons are occasionally glitchy and unresponsive and navigating through sub-menus can be clumsy and non-intuitive at times. The controls are my only disliked feature of the MF753Cdw. Other than the controls, it is a solid performer. Even with the mediocre color graphics and photos, it still prints quite well overall and is sufficient for most usage scenarios. Besides, I’ve found color print quality to be hit or miss among several different branded color laser printers, so it is not limited to this specific device.

I am very pleased with this printer. Prints well, easily connects wirelessly and is quick to get the job done. Scanning docs is a task for me because I think I don’t have it set up to automatically scan and place on desktop. I had an extra step to open the printer and then select several selections before scanning. Might be a good thing though. Another difference I. This printer than all my inkjet printers is it like to refresh itself often. Not a huge deal, just startling sometimes when it starts making noise out of nowhere. Overall, I would recommend this printer and buy it again if needed to.

This is an incredible printer for a small office or for your home office. This type of printer is incredibly low maintenance, and will be a workhorse for many years to come. I’ve been using my printer for almost 2 weeks, and have had zero issues. The setup was among the easiest of any printer I’ve had. It comes preloaded with toner, so you only need to unpack it, remove the tape, and turn it on. The wireless option connected to my computer with no effort, I just connected to the same Wi-Fi, and my computer immediately found it when searching for a network printer. The color quality is rich and sharp, it does a really nice job blending colors and showing the dynamics between light and dark. This printer also has the option to add a high capacity tray to the bottom, which will really help if you have a high printing volume. Another advantage of this is you can set the trays to different paper sizes and types. The printer should support 80 lb card stock through the main feed, as this does not have a side bypass tray. So far, this is probably my favorite printer I’ve ever owned.

This printer should be called The Flash. It's literally instant prints. The replacement "ink" are "069 Toner Cartridge" They're roughly $100 for each black/cyan/magenta/yellow, so you're looking at $400 (basically the price of a new printer!) if you run out of ink. At the same time, you can print roughly 2000. This is pretty overkill for a casual home user - it's made for business - but it's a luxury to have. The negative is it takes up a lot of space. It's great to have all-in-one, touch screen, and app support to print directly from your phone. Best Buy has the best price!

Works well with windows, for the most part. Problems when printing with macOS and iOS at first - you have to fiddle with several settings to get this to work with Macs - it seems to print too light. Several things needed adjustments when I received this - margins when coming from the bottom tray were off, the too light printing affected both windows and Mac were printing things too light and faded. I've owned a couple of other color laser printer brands in the past and this is the first one that just wasn't ready to go straight out of the box and needed a lot of tweaking of settings. The toner is pricey - just check what Canon toner cartridges cost. Canon support is minimal - you get a knowledge base which tells you how the printer is supposed to work, and a community forum to troubleshoot why it doesn't work. You can get a CarePak, for a price, which has more support options, but I didn't opt for that. This was an aggravating printer to set up, I'm still not sure if I'll keep it, yet. I'm beginning to understand why a major consumer magazine that reports on product quality listed Canon customers the most unhappy of the major brand printer owners.

Great so far! Love the quality of the printing. Fast and easy to use. It has only a slightly larger foot print than our previous printer, an Epson WorkForce 845.

We needed a good printer since my wife works from home. The quality and speed are great for this price point. It matches many more expensive pronters.

I bought this to replace an old Brother. The price was essentially the cost of the ink cartridges included. Its printing quality and speed are excellent. I find the touch screen panel confusing, and I have not mastered it. Its preset scanning quality is too light, and I cannot seem to change the default. So, I have to set the exposure manually each time. Also, to scan directly to the computer requires action on the computer. I cannot figure out how to simply scan to computer directly from the printer's screen. For all these shortfalls, I give it a 4.

As a self-employed artist, I print a lot of cards and calendars. In searching for a new printer, I found this Canon ImageCLASS MF753Cdw online and Best Buy had the best price. I've only had it for a short time, but so far I give 5 Stars for performance and quality. It's a little work horse!
