I bought this computer two years ago. Excellent touch, speed battery life, everything was great until I started to have hardware issue... computer is fragile. From last one week every time I started my computer it started booting and occasionally stop suddenly while I am working. I ran self diagnostic tests, results were no error so I kept using. But now it have completely stopped working, seems like my hard drive have been corrupted (error message no bootable device found)

I really like the battery life, screen clarity & speed of this laptop! It’s been great! I’ve had it a couple years now. It’s been very reliable. It can get a little hot but it’s not a real problem.

Bought this Dell Inspiron 7306 about a week ago and it has not disappointed. Laptop is very fast (i5 evo), plenty of store, great quality and good looking. Initially I had a problem with the fan and could not find it under Power Option. Turns out you need to go to Dell's software application, settings, power management and set it to "cool" and go from there. Once I set it to "cool" I did not have any issues and did not hinder any performance whatsoever. The display is really good and much better than their "lower" end Inspiron's. My ONLY con at the moment is the keyboard. It is kind of hard to see under a room with bright light unless you turn off the backlight. Not the end of the world but it is something to think about. Bought a $6 keyboard cover in black on Amazon and makes a whole difference! Other than that, I am very pleased at the moment and could not ask for more.

I bought this item in used - "excellent Geek Squad Certified" condition. The laptop is great! A very well built aluminum casing with a high-quality keyboard, coupled with a narrow screen bezel and the latest 11th generation Intel processor, makes a great user experience! The laptop is fast, the touchscreen is very responsive, and the overall experience very positive. However, "excellent" condition has to be taken with a pinch of salt; there are visible dents on the bottom casing, the screen was not cleaned at all, and the laptop was poorly packed before shipping. The good: build quality, number of ports, 11th gen Intel system. The bad: visible dents on the bottom of the laptop, even though the laptop was marked as a condition "excellent."

    Portable Fast Machine

Love this little machine. So fast and the battery lasts the entire day while working from home. Replacing my Dell XPS all in one purchased in 2014. It still works but is way too slow and needed a reliable computer working remotely most of the time. There is one thing that I don't like and that's because it only has one usb port but still giving 5 stars all around. Since I use a separate keyboard and mouse, I had to learn how to use the mouse on the laptop to get it set up since it took up the only one port available. And if I have to transfer files from a flash drive, again, have to use the laptop mouse pad instead. This is my first laptop as I always had desk top computers but still happy with this purchase. Lastly, I love how small and portable this machine is!

Got this laptop on sell for $699 about $250 USD off. This laptop is amazing for an I5. The 13’ screen is perfect me being a college student I don’t need it that huge, I run excel, word, and computer science software easily on this. The Intel optane memory is amazing and does exactly as advertised. It being an evo laptop already makes it come with amazing features but if you can get this on sale it’s worth the immediate buy.

Purchase of Dell- Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 13.3" FHD Touchscreen laptop about 8 months ago. Very powerful and easy to use, at a good price when I purchase it. I call Dell consumer service to report a hardware not software issue. It took 2 hours + to do diagnostic check, direct number for hardware issue.

I have only had this laptop since January. It is now October, and during a volunteer meeting my entire screen went pixelated. Lines all across the screen. Restarted. Tried to find updates for drivers, everything. My background went black when trying to move to external monitor.. just issue after issue, and it kept getting worse. Chatted online with Best Buy, and after communicating, they said it had to be an actual screen issue and to make an appt. Made appt, took it in. And even though my parents thought it had the extended protection, apparently the guy never rang it up. The associate at geek squad was helpful, but there was nothing he could do and said things like this are spontaneous and a flaw.. apparently my screen is basically dying. Mind you, we got this laptop because my one I had purchased just three years ago decided to die as well within battery, and the motherboard and speakers (can’t even connect external speakers); it would be just as much to fix as get a new laptop .. so now that has become our laptop to just use for things without sound. So, his suggestion was to reach out to Dell directly, since it’s still in it’s one year warranty. Did that when we got home and the agent was helpful. Did all diagnostic running, and also agreed it’s the lcd screen itself. He scheduled a tech to come out once they get the part. Frustrating. But whatever. WELL, I got an email today that they are backlogged (understandable, but I know the Dell agent had to know this when being ‘so’ helpful). So now I’m stuck without being able to do what I need to do on my laptop and I have to figure out how to afford a new one while I wait who knows how long for this one to become a useful laptop potentially again and not a paperweight. I will never buy a Dell product again. It’s been nothing but frustration. Do yourself a favor and be aware of this, because according to Best Buy.. it’s an issue with Dell laptops.

The laptop is great, except for a fatal flaw. The keyboard is hard to see. It needs contrasting letters. I had a 2013 that I used for years and loved. Couldn't understand what changed with the keyboard until I put them beside each other. My 2013 is obviously obsolete and hasn't been used in a while, and I missed it. So bought this one, couldn't wait to get it. Until the keyboard looked hard to see. I have the light on high. Which lights up the keys, and then you can't hardly see the letters. See the difference between the new all silver and the old one with black letters.

It’s the perfect size and has so many features to personalize it just how you want it. My favorite is being able to turn it into tablet form! Just overall so impressed with it. Definitely recommend it!!!

This was my first open box product from Best Buy. I was told that I will never have any problems as the Best Buy Geek Squad tests everything. But just after 25th April, I have started seeing problem. It says that the Charger is not recognized. Also, even when the charger is attached, if I am not using the laptop for say an hour, it goes into sleep mode which is good, but does not turn on when I do Ctrl-Alt-Del or touch the Start-Stop button. I have to hard press it to force stop it and then again restart.

      MacRepair,

Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about the issues that you've had with your computer so far. We'd recommend searching for updated drivers to help with the volume control issues that you're having: https://dell.to/37hSuJl.

If your computer continues to overheat on you we'd recommend the following tips:

      Tips for Proper Usage:

      1. Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems, heat transfer can be an issue.
      2. Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system.
Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other types of cloth will cover up the fan cause the computer to overheat and can cause permanent damage.
      3. It is recommended to use the portable system in a Room temperature of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a Humidity level no greater than 90%.
      4. Use compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis.
      5. Using a cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance.
      6. If you want to know the temperature limitations for your system, go to the Dell Support Website, look up your system model then open the user guide under the manuals link.

You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2uJ8AdG.

Lastly, if you are still having internet issues you can try these steps:

      1. Download and install the latest Wireless Card driver. (https://dell.to/2th3Tpe) After updating the driver, re-establish the connection with the Wireless Access Point and check the wireless performance.
      2. If the issue persists, proceed to step 3.
      3. Power-cycle the local network. Shut down the Dell system, the Wireless Access Point/Router and the Modem. Wait a minimum of 60 seconds before powering up the components in the following order:
      4. Power ON the Modem, and wait for it to boot fully.
      5. Power ON the Wireless Access Point/Router, and wait for it to boot fully.
      6. Power ON the Dell system.
      7. Open Network and Sharing Center
      8. In the left side navigation pane, click on Change Adapter Settings
      9. Right click on the wireless connection icon and select Properties followed by the Configure button
      10. Under Wireless Options, select the Wireless N mode
      11. For Windows 8 or later systems click the Advanced tab and look for 802.11n Mode on the right you will be given the option to Enable or Disable. If the mode is not visible you may need to update your drivers and firmware.
      12. From the drop-down menu, choose Disable followed by Ok
      13. This should restore the wireless download and upload speed. Internet speed can be tested at http://speedtest.net.
