The 7706 is a solid ultra book with a great screen but I do have a couple of issues. The 8gig of ram is inadequate for such a computer, the hard drive is just way to small. And to not include a graphics chip on it seems ridiculous. Within two days of purchase I installed a new Samsung ssd980 1tb name m.2 drive I also upgraded the ram to 16gb. Bench marks show that the system is a solid performer now, only lacking in the graphics department. Also if you plan to upgrade the drive do it before you start installing software because the system comes set to scsi but to make an ssd fast it needs to be running on AHCI which requires windows to be reinstalled and the bios set to AHCI. It is time consuming.

Just got a new job and my 11 inch Lenovo Yoga was cutting it anymore. Don’t get me wrong still love it. I have 9 years with it. But after going back and forth looking at 15.6 inch screens. I decided to go with this 17 inch Dell. The screen is brilliant, is not 4K but definitely looks like it. Only concern is sometimes when you open up the laptop it doesn’t turn on automatically, you have to actually hit the power button to wake it. But other than that it’s great. The fan is very quiet. I don’t think I have ever heard it.

I love this computer! The size is perfect for travel but what I like best is the 2-in-1 aspect. When I working from my office I can stand it up like a tent and it basically becomes like one of those all in one desk tops! I have it sitting next to an additional monitor for added functionality! I'd been researching laptops for a couple of months and I simply couldn't be happier with my purchase! I highly recommend this computer!

I upgraded from a 4 yr old intel core 3 Dell to this one . Love the large touch screen I've only had it a few weeks but so far I love it. Like other reviewers said the silver keyboard is so hard to see. I bought a $5.00 key cover/protector and that solved the problem and it looks great!

Love the laptop. I really wish to have a pen for sketching. I have seen not so amazing reviews for a pen that might match my model. Feeling iffy. Overall. It works fast and Ive had no issues with it thus far. Bad thing is finding a screen protector that fits the screen. Dell should also have skins for laptops. I haven’t seen any. Upgrade the devices should come with accessories upgrades too.

Nice big screen for older people to read. Higher resolution than 1080p means sharper text. I can see two pages side-by-side.

Didn't have it for a week and got the blue screen. Tried updating, troubleshooting with Dell, everything to fix and nothing worked. Very frustrating! First time with a Dell. Trying to decide if this was a case of bad luck or if this will happen again.

The Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 17" QHD+ Touch-Screen Laptop is an impressive machine that offers a great combination of performance and versatility. The 17-inch QHD+ touch-screen display is stunning, delivering sharp and vibrant visuals that are a pleasure to look at.
The Intel Core i7 processor, coupled with 8GB of memory, ensures smooth multitasking and handles demanding tasks with ease. The 256GB SSD provides fast data access and boot times. The 2-in-1 design adds flexibility, allowing you to use it as a traditional laptop or in tablet mode.
The build quality is solid, and the silver finish gives it a premium look. The backlit keyboard is comfortable to type on, and the touchpad is responsive. Additionally, the laptop has a good selection of ports, including USB-C and HDMI.
However, the 8GB of memory might feel limiting for power users, and the 256GB SSD could fill up quickly if you have large files. Also, the laptop is on the heavier side, which might not be suitable for frequent travelers.
In summary, the Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 17" QHD+ Touch-Screen Laptop is a capable and versatile device, ideal for tasks like content consumption, productivity, and light creative work. It does have some limitations, but if you're looking for a larger 2-in-1 laptop, it's a solid choice.

Impressive machine for an outstanding price.

I think for the price what more could you want? You are getting a MASSIVE 17 inch QUAD HD display, with an i7 processor, only 8GB of RAM but that is a super simple swap to 16GB. Let me go over each piece of this machine one by one.
Sound: 3/5 - Not as bad as everyone is saying... what is going to beat a MacBook Pro in terms of sound quality? Nothing. However will you get a 17 inch, touch screen, 2 in 1 display with the MacBook? No. It's all about what you want in a machine.
Display: 4/5 - It is crisp, it is beautiful and 4K videos pop very well on the display. The motion is handled very well as well, because even though it's not 120hz, everything is very fluid. At only 300 nits, it is not a bright boy. It works well for my needs however taking outside may not be as enjoyable.
Performance: 4/5 - To be expected in this segment, you get a middle-line i7 processor that does a pretty darn good job with most things you throw at it. There is some lag, but heck there was some lag with my $2400 MacBook Pro.
Keyboard: 5/5 - Honestly, this keyboard feels amazing to type on. You get a numpad and a quick calculator button which is AWESOME. Also a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello. I can type extremely well on this keyboard and not make a single mistake. The keys are SILVER with WHITE letters which is an extremely poor design for someone starting out/not to advanced with typing. I don't have to look at the keyboard when typing, so I can type like a dream on this bad boy. Others might want key caps, stickers, etc...
Trackpad: 3/5 - Eh, it's not magical. It is NOTHING as good as the MacBook's or even Surface Studio Laptop's. It clicks hard, a good amount of effort has to be pressed on it for it to activate, however its saving grace is how responsive the tap-to-click and other gestures work. They work well, and the trackpad is GINORMOUS, even bigger than a MacBook Pro's - you have plenty of room.
Battery: to be determined, but I hear it's rated at about 4-6 hours.... decent. It is said to charge from 0 to 80% in an hour, which is quite impressive.
Connectivity: 3/5 - It's lacking in quantity, yet not quality. It has an SD card reader, ONE thunderbolt port and ONE regular USB port, headphone jack and HDMI. You'd think such a huge machine would have more connectivity, but I am happy it has BOTH type C and regular USB. I can plug anything in to it.
Overall, at $929 or even about $800 open-box, this is an EXCELLENT buy - you are getting a very nice piece of kit for your money, an upgradeable one albeit. I also think, once looking and using this 17 inch screen, you will never... be able to go back.

Impressed with this laptop! I had returned a few different types and brands of laptops because For the money I didn't like it or they had issues. I was frustrated and about to give up then I found this one I wasn't wanting 8gb ram but this beast is fast faster than the envy I returned. The screen is awesome great image, brightness, and size. The battery life was superb and will last all day. it has the webcam shutter for privacy looks nice the hinges are sturdy and screen will stay put. I think this laptop nailed it for me compared to the Samsung 13 inch 2 in 1 I returned and the envy that was having issues
Pros: Battery life , resolution, Brightness, backlit keyboard, super fast and responsive, low fan noise, camera shutter, Hdmi port and type C
Cons: On more demanding task does heat up a little bit (normal), Fingerprint Scanner isnt working all the time, not usb type c fast charging, touch screen super sensitive (not a big deal can be a con or pro)

I bought this laptop because I needed a 17" screen. I have been using Surface Book 2 15" for past two years with no issues. I was a bit hesitant to buy a Dell since I love the Microsoft products. I must say this laptop was a good price I even priced matched it when it dropped $150 - boots quickly screen is clear and bright most complaints I have read were about the colors of keyboard - went on Amazon bought silicon cover with black letters and I am good with that and while sound could be better - I normally watch shows on my ipad but have watched netflx on here and I am fine with it. Specs are good, trackpad smooth and keyboard letters click nicely. I am running Windows Home with no issues. II get about 8-9 hours of battery life with display at 60% - I normally charge it around 7pm and use all day at work - I never hear the fan. it real quiet but I am not a gamer, I mostly use office and use web applications, it comes out of sleep mode quickly and the fingerprnt works great

Really nice large screened 2in1 laptop. Very quick. It ships with Windows 10 Home, but it can be upgraded to Pro if you need to. The touchscreen used to be a gimmic but I feel like we're using these in tablet mode more and more lately especially in the field.
The 8gb is ok but I can tell you from experience that the thing will take 16gb using two sticks of 8GB DDR4 3200 MHz CL22 RAM. The 16gb models are tough to find on the store shelves or have long waits for delivery and are another 300 bucks as of when we bought this one, so we get the 8gb and upgrade them for another 120 bucks after we get them. Get the extra ram, the installation is simple - and yes it can go up to 16gb per Dell's specs.
Next one we get I;m planning on trying 32gb just to see if it'll take it and I'll update when I know.
Thanks!!
