Customers are satisfied with the S3220DGF monitor's screen size, refresh rate, and resolution, frequently praising its suitability for gaming and work. Many appreciate the monitor's quality, HDR capabilities, and FreeSync technology, although some noted the absence of built-in speakers and the monitor's weight as drawbacks. A few users reported issues with dead pixels or ghosting, but these concerns were less prevalent than positive feedback. The curved screen is also a feature that many users enjoyed.

I bought three of these monitors to replace my triple screen setup which was previously outfitted with three 27 inch Dell S2716DG 1440p G-sync monitors. In summary, this monitor is a nice upgrade from the S2716DG because of the size, features and picture quality. First, as to size, there is definitely a difference going from 27 inches to 32 inches. I wonder how I lived without 32 inches, I cannot see myself going back. So, 32 inches is not too big, its perfect. 27 inches for gaming is too small IMO. Second, this monitor has all of the features I want for PC gaming, including 1440p resolution, which is perfect for this size monitor. This monitor also has Freesync adaptive sync technology, which helps smooth the action by syncing the GPU and monitor. The monitor also has a refresh rate of 165 hz (164 hz in the Nvidia driver), which also helps smooth out the action, particularly when you are at or near 165 frames per second. Speaking of adaptive sync, although this monitor is not officially G-sync compatible, it nonetheless largely supports G-sync technology if you are using an Nvidia GPU. I say "largely" because I have noticed some flickering with G-sync enabled that I never had with my S2716DG monitors or my Alienware AW3418DW, both of which have native G-sync support via a chip inside the monitor. Also, the HDR on this monitor is quite good on my PS4 Pro. The whites are quite bright, without being washed out, and the colors are rich. GT Sport, for example, looks incredible. An added bonus is that by enabling HDR on the monitor, my PS4 Pro is able to transmit and the monitor receives a 4K signal. Very cool. HDR on PC, however, is generally weak. I tried Shadow of the Tomb Raider in HDR on this monitor and the colors were muted and I saw too much gray compared to SDR, which was much more vibrant. HDR in Windows also apparently causes flickering in some games, for example iRacing and Shadow of the Tomb Raider when I am running in Nvidia Surround with G-sync enabled. In summary, HDR is a perk if you are using this monitor with a PS4 Pro, but I would not get your hopes up regarding HDR if using this monitor on PC. The monitor has a DisplayPort 1.4 port, plus two HDMI 2.0 ports. I bought three DP 1.4 cables to use because I had read about flickering issues when people used the included DP 1.2 cables. I question Dell's decision not to include DP 1.4 cables, even though the monitor supports it. HDMI 2.0 is good, that is what is needed for 4K on PS4 Pro or your Xbox One X. The OSD is quite good, similar to other Dell and Alienware monitors I have used and owned. It is very easy to scroll through the menus and make adjustments. And finally, the picture quality of this monitor is superb. The VA panel produces rich, vibrant colors, at least in part because of its 3000:1 contrast ratio, which is much higher than the 1000:1 contrast ratio we typically see on TN or IPS panels. I love deep, saturated colors and so I used the OSD to crank up the Saturation. Very cool. Text is sharp, although not quite as sharp as what I see in my Alienware AW3418DW monitor, which of course has an IPS panel. In summary, this monitor is great value, even at the regular price of $449. I was able to get a price match down to $360 when the monitor went on sale at Best Buy. Definitely buy with confidence!

I'm in love with this monitor. the colors are very nice, response time is 4ms but I can barely notice any ghosting. I order a display port cable 1.4, the one that came in the box is 1.2. My old monitor was Dell S2417DG G-Sync 165hz 1440p and 1ms. Did some calibration myself, here they are if some one like to use it: On the monitor: Presete Mode: Standart Game Enhance Mode: Off FreeSync: On Smart HDR: Desktop Response Time: Super Fast Dark Stabilizer: 0 Brightness: 74 Contrast: 76 Sharpness: 60 On the NVidia Control Panel: All channels: Brightness: 45% Contrast: 57% Gamma: 1.07 Red: Brightness: 40% Contrast: 72% Gamma: 1.07 Green: Brightness: 45% Contrast: 50% Gamma: 1.07 Blue: Brightness: 50% Contrast:50% Gamma: 1.07 Digital vibrance: 55% Hue: 0 I hope this works for you. thanks for reading. Before I get started, I wanted to say, there was a reviewer on a website that didn't believe all the positive reviews for S3220DFG, if you read this, don't waste your time reading this, go buy it, then come back and read this, then write your positive review... and now to the review. Definitely not for sitting to close: Had this monitor for three days, tested/played Battlefield 4, Witcher 3, the original Grid, Splinter Cell Double Agent, Tomb Raider Under World, Max Payne 3, MXGP Dirt Bike racing with a i7 4770k and rtx 2060 super, my frames per second did not alter one bit from my usual fps on my 27" monitor, that should be noted for those interested. Let me tell you, this monitor is a beast. The games really shine on this work of art. The price to performance is just, honestly, you won’t find better for what you get. Speaking of what you get, a Display Port 1.2 cable is included. Go to Amazon and pick up the “cable matters” 1.4 version because I heard 165hz won’t be achievable on 1.2, didn’t bother trying to hit 165hz with the included cable. There are many screen display options which are a nice addition for those that like to tinker. Do not get this monitor if you cannot sit at least 3 ½ to 4 ½ feet away. The curve may induce a little dizziness and sitting to close with too much brightness may induce bright spots in your vision, scary but that’s the price for sitting to close for some. Some websites actually say to sit 5 feet for 32” but I think that is pushing it. Another website says 1.7 feet and that is just absurdly to close. I had to return this awesome piece of equipment because my desk is small and I’m sitting 2 feet from the screen, So it's back to my ACER XB270U, it’s noticeable smaller at 27” but I still appreciate it for what it’s worth, will miss the extra screen real estate though. I'm not sure why but i needed to resize windows 10 to about 150% in display settings, fonts are noticeable smaller on this too. Also, I had to zoom in for web pages with the CTRL button and mouse wheel. It should be noted that this Dell supports other resolutions sizes too, including 1080p for a nice touch. Also, $399.99 is a steal. Dell will definitely have me as customer in the future. By the way, this was my first Dell anything and it was a nice experience. Lastly, my purchase date was 7/27/2020 and I received this 7/29/2020, not sure why BB.com says 7/29/2020 for a purchase date, that was the delivery date.

One of the best curved monitors you can get bar none. I went through a few monitors before finding this gem, and for the price, performance, and picture quality you cannot go wrong. It isn't too big, it isn't too small, it is just right. Couple thought with a high refresh rate, freesync, QHD, and great port options, it's the best monitor you can pair with a gaming PC. The pixels are dense enough so that graphics don't look pixelated with you are close to the screen. It's a great balance. I don't feel 4k is worth it since it is such a performance hit, even for higher end cards like my RTX 3080. Minimal to no light bleeding on this one. This monitor actually trumps any IPS panel that I've tried on the market. And the picture quality almost looks as if it is IPS...just without the IPS glow.

Excellent monitor. Best picture I’ve seen on a monitor and I have had several. HDR looks unbelievable and 2k computer graphics look crazy good. PS4 and XBOX look great as well. This monitor has a refresh of 165hz and with Display port connected it will hit 165 FPS no problem. With proper in game settings. I have hit over 180 FPS with Battlefield V and over 280 FPS with Fortnite with no screen tearing. Takes everything I can throw at it. (r7 3700x rx5700xt 16 gb ram) ABSOLUTE BEAST OF A MONITOR Only issue I have is the screen flickers with freesync turned on.

I picked this beauty at a steal. I have had my eye on it for some time. One day while in the store looking for a T.V wire I notice a section of go backs in a cart. This monator so happens to be in the pile. It was a desplay so it was marked down. Someone had previously bought her and returned it. The price was to good to pass up. I ended up geting the Insurance plan for 4 years, just incase. She is a thing of beauty. I love the curved screen. I like to game and the screen sucks me in to where I forget to notice anything but the stunning power. I have her operating at the max, my system is just that good. I have no issues. The only thing that goes through my head is, why did I wait so long to buy her?

Aside from my 3080, this has been my been my favorite upgrade. I decided to get a second one a few weeks later. The only gripe is that they weigh over 25lbs so have them on a dual mount isn't worth the risk since most weight capacity are around 2/3 of their weight. I've ran the likes of Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk, The Medium, Apex, Warzone all at 1440p Ultra 165hz and the difference from my 4k 30hz monitor was massive. Curved screens give the illusion of a larger screen so that adds to the value. Ive recommended them to a couple of friends who bought soon after they came to see the quality in person. I purchased them both while they were on sale for 399 and 329 so be patient!

With Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 coming out I knew I needed a gaming monitor. I looked at a lot of monitors and a lot of them had great features but also had a bigger price. This monitor has 2560 x 1440 resolution, 4ms response time and a 165Hz refresh rate. It's curved as well but not so much that things look strange. It's just enough to see everything perfectly. At $449 it was money well spent. I love it. Everything looks so much better. As a matter of fact it looked so great I bought two more to get an almost 180 degree view. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone for any type of need, gaming or business.

Bought this monitor November 2020. Review is July 2021. First off this is the first curved monitor I have had. It is also the best. Keeps everything in eyesight and you don’t notice the curve during gameplay. It’s really got a great picture as well. Got this one for gaming and got another 24 inch regular dell monitor for chat/discord that way I can keep the game up but interact with chat and friends while playing. Then I added the 82 inch tv on a wall mount to finish off the setup. This is a must have and I really love the quality build this has. I would definitely recommend if anyone is looking for a good gaming monitor with a great refresh rate to get this monitor. It moves up and down with ease has a area for wire management in the stand as well and even tilts a little so you can get the right view for your needs. I actually bought two of these one for me and one for my wife’s gaming computer as well. It is worth every penny. You do have to adjust the refresh rate in settings. It comes preset on 60 I believe. However I don’t really play fast paced racing games so I set mine to 120 refresh rate. It’s nice to have the option to bump it up if I ever play a game where it’s needed though why not. Hopefully this helps you make your choice on monitor. I don’t really review much items I purchase but a friend was asking about monitors so I looked back at what I purchased and figured it deserved a review. Never have had any problems with picture quality or any malfunctioning at all. Don’t throw $600 out for a monitor because you think you need it. Check the specs and compare a lot of times a little tweak in the specs isn’t worth another $250 more then what you get with this monitor. I would recommend and Honestly will probably pick up another one of these in the near future.

Got this monitor on sale for $349.99. It pretty much checks all the boxes of what I was looking for in a gaming monitor to pair with my 2080 ti. 1) I wanted high refresh rate of 144hz. 2) I wanted HDR. 3) I wanted QHD (2560 x 1440). This monitor has a pretty decent review on https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/s3220dgf. The stand it solid and has good height adjustment. I have tested this monitor only with the few games I'm playing at the moment on PC which is Destiny 2, Dauntless, Forza horizon 4. They all look and play great. Good placement of the OSD button controls with easy to use menu. No dead or stuck pixels on the monitor I purchased. I highly recommend this as a buy. Especially if you can get it for the sale price of $349.99. It would probably work great as a xbox or PS4 monitor, although it's not 4k, I believe it looks better than my 4k Samsung monitor in gaming since it was only 60hz.

When this came out I couldn’t believe how little they were asking, $450 retail and I just scooped it up on sale for $350. I have a RTX 2080 in my build and I’ve been playing Modern Warfare exclusively on this monitor and holy smokes is it dope. 32” curved display looks beautiful on the desk 1440p gaming resolution is where it’s at 4ms response isn’t 1ms but I can’t tell the difference from my old 1ms monitor Being g-sync compatible is awesome HDR is dope for movies and certain games too! Only complaint is, it looks too good that you get distracted in competitive games looking around. Lol 5/5 would buy again

I upgraded from an excellent 27" IPS 1440p monitor. Going to this VA 32" LED QHD FreeSync has been an amazing move -- for sure! This is a big but not overwhelming monitor. If you are a gamer it is exquisite! I run a AMD Ryzen 3600 paired with 32 GB 3600 memory, and an AMD RX 590. All my games have come alive... Free Sync enabled and boom... playing at sync'd 120 fps is the best. While this monitor can go to 165 I prefer 120. I am running it via Display Port. No dead pixels!! Is a little pricey. Picture is very good, colors really pop, and the curve really works, it is not a gimmick. Wow - coming up on 1 month using it is terrific! Go for it!

After falling in love with a flat-screen 2K monitor a family member uses, I was struggling to find a 27" of the same so I could have the same clarity. Ultimately the market is limited and I had a quality issue with the curved version meeting the specs I was looking for and this was my next choice. After a week of use, I love this monitor! The curve is only slight so it was easy to adjust too, although I think it is great. My primary purpose for this monitor is spreadsheets with work on a windows computer, and maxing out the sharpness to the monitor settings was the trick to get the clarity I was seeking in this price-point. I was used to the QHD 27" from dell, but really wanted a curve and the benefit in the larger screen is a can sit a little further which eases the strain on my eyes. My secondary use is for amateur photography and the picture is great for that use as well. To no surprise, the image is not as crisp as my retina MacBook Pro, which is fine considering the price point and hobby use. I haven't used the monitor for movies or video games yet, but there are plenty of reviews focusing on that use. I the base is nice, keep in mind the monitor is heavy. I noticed the difference when I lifted my desk for the first time. I have a 35lb weight limit and this monitor is roughly 25lb so it works, but makes raising the desk heavier/stiffer. The monitor will both tilt and turn sideways, plus move up and down. I was amazed how many monitors don't have this functionality in the 300-400 range. The only negative is you can't mount the monitor to a wall, but the smoke gray looks nice on the desk and I love the blue logo on the back.

This is a fantastic monitor. I got this on sale for $379 and even if I had paid full price I would still consider it a value. I was hesitant at first to buy a Dell as a gaming monitor, I had owned Asus and MSI VA high-refresh panels and wanted something with good specs for gaming. I have to say I was not only pleasantly surprised but completely blown away by the performance of this monitor. HDR content "pops" more on this than on my Samsung HDR television, with wonderful peak brightness and excellent colors. I can't speak for color accuracy as I only game on it but content looks beautiful and I didn't make any adjustments out of the box. 165hz is great, no smearing or ghosting during gaming as I have experienced previously with VA panels. Overall a great monitor and I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a big fast gaming monitor.

This is one of the best monitors I've bought. I ended up buying another one for a dual screen setup. The resolution is perfect and the frame rate is even better. The colors aren't washed out like other monitor brands. I plan on purchasing a third one later this year. The photo doesn't do it justice, it looks even better in real life.

Fantastic colors. Especially when used with HDR. It shows remarkable image. Images are so bright and with deep blacks, it reflects other colors beautifully. I’m satisfied. My girlfriend bought a 32” LG 4K in the same price range, at the same time and return it. I think the technology and what this panel offers was in a 4K would very expensive. The price and what one gets cannot be appreciated with a same the price range 4K. They look horrible.

I have been waiting a long time to upgrade to a monitor like this! I am not a competitive gamer but I am no noob either. I built my own system which has a 4.3 GHz stable overclocked i7 and GTX 1070 Ti. I feel that since high end GPUs like the 2080 Ti struggle to push 4K over 100Hz reliably, that 1440p is the proverbial "sweet spot" for screens under 40 in or so. I normally play games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Mass Effect and the occasional Battlefield when it comes to AAA titles. I played blu ray dvds of Tron Legacy and 300 and it looked fantastic. The darks and contrast on this panel are a clear upgrade to my old 24 in 60Hz Asus IPS and 43 in Samsung tv that I was using. If you are looking to play FPS (shooters) or be more competitive then I recommend you look at 24 to 27 in monitors with 240Hz+ refresh rates. Whatever you decide, I wish you the best of luck!
