Customers are delighted by the WorkForce Pro WF-4830's impressive print quality, ease of use, and convenient features like its multiple paper trays. Many appreciate the straightforward setup and reliable performance. The printer's scanning capabilities and relatively quiet operation are also frequently praised.

WF4830 WiFi CONNECTION PROBLEM SOLVED

I'm writing this review with a 1-star to help those who are having WiFi connection issues.
I got this printer last October because my previous WF3540 was being supported by Apple apparently, or at least, that is what I was told. I checked the 1-star reviews carefully, and noticed this one issue that a lot of people had with WiFi connections, but because I had never had that kind of problem, I bought it because it was a reasonable cost and did both duplex scanning and printing.
Sure enough, after just a couple months of minimal use, I began to have the same WiFi connection issue the 1-star reviews recorded. All through January, I was constantly on the phone. To make a long story short, doing the repetitive routine of going through WiFi Setup with Tech Support I saw 2 things that didn't look right. First, my WiFi strength on the same network (2.4GHz) was "excellent" sometimes and sometimes it was "weak". The second was found while doing the WiFi Set Up Wizard routine on the printer. I noticed that the list of available networks included 3 separate network listings for my 2.4GHz network and all 3 network listings (all the same name) had check marks indicating the printer was connected to 3 networks with the same name. 3 networks with the same name on the available network listing...why 3? Coincidentally, I have 3 Access Points (Network Extenders) in my house. All are different distances from my printer, which probably explains why the WiFi strength toggled between "excellent" and "weak".
My frustration was at the breaking point. Epson support had sent me a replacement (refurbished) WF4830 for my "defective" printer, and it did not connect to my network straight out of the box. I made an appointment with Best Buy to bring the printer back to store and get a credit for it the next morning, and I had already started looking for another brand of duplex printer/scanner.
One last option left, I decided to text my low voltage contractor and network technician to see if he could help. While I was texting with him, it took him 10 minutes to solve my problem.
Here's what he did. He told me he could create another network (2.4 GHz) just for my printers, and he could make it available only from the closest Access Point (Extender). That did it! It's been 3 days of bliss--I have used the printer on and off all 3 days now and not a single hiccup.
So if you're having this same problem and you are using multiple Access Points (Network Extenders), I am confident this solution will work for you. I'm convinced Epson's WiFi system in the WF4830 is designed to work with a single Access Point network.
I have sent this solution to Epson's Technical Support through their "contact us", and I hope they will begin to push it down to the Technical Support folks on the phones. I like Epson and I like the WF4830 because it is a duplex printer/scanner and it prints and scans excellent for what I need as a retired CEO and rental property owner. I like the Epson Technical Support people--they're knowledgeable and considerate for the most part, although some are difficult to understand because of their accents.
So hopefully, this helps everyone--Epson, Best Buy, and the other frustrated customers who've had this problem!
Pictures attached show the 3 networks with the same name available on my printer. When I was having the connection problems, all 3 networks were highlighted, had the same name, and all 3 had check marks showing they were all connected. I was not willing to mess with the set up after getting my problem resolved. Sorry.

This was a replacement for an older HP all-in-one that had me tied to their ink service, making me pay monthly for ink I barely used.
It has a slightly larger footprint than expected, but it fits perfectly where I needed to put it. This printer has been great, easy to set up and get connected to. I’ve used most of its capabilities already without much difficulty from the printers large screen, or from the Epson app. The quality of the printing and scanning are crisp and clear. Best of all I’m not tied to any subscription.

I needed a printer that could do relatively fast high volume duplex printing and scanning in COLOR. I was scared this would be a dud because the next closer option was twice the price but I’ve been thrilled with this printer. We were replacing a Canon Maxify and this has similar functionality with a better paper tray (dust doesn’t get inside). So happy with this.

Fantastic printer so far. Just the right one for small business and home. Comments make doubt on buying it, however, the thing with stock paper ai think is because people push the paper at the end of the cassette as always, but with this model is the oposite, paper shouldn’t be at that end. Huge price.

This all-in-one printer is very easy to use. I'm very amazed with the speed that it can scan documents on the automatic tray, you can also use double-sided paper to scan on the tray. It is very easy to print through the app, email, or network. Best purchase I ever made.

I have been a rabid HP inkjet proponent for quite a long time. When their non-existent "customer service" failed me, I decided to look into this little baby.
My requirements are simple: it needs to print double sided, copy double sided, scan double sided and fax.
So far so good! The Epson Workforce Pro printer came well packaged and easy to remove. The set up is unbelievably simply (it practically did everything on its own)
I can't say that I am 100 percent satisfied yet. But, let me tell you what it does do and does it very well... It prints from one or two sources, printing either single side or double. It copies and scans from a tray which holds around 20 to 30 pages. And, the fax program is a dream with which to work.
I have my printer available to 5 different computers and the interaction is seamless.
I do have a single complaint... well, maybe not so much of a complaint as an annoyance. I had become so used to the way HP scan to NAS worked that I found getting used to on the Epson a little cumbersome. With time, you get into a groove so, this is a very minor issue.
Would I buy the Epson Workforce Pro WF-4830 Wireless All-in-one Printer again? YES in a heartbeat.

I absolutely love this printer. I bought it primarily for the duplex printing capability, but it makes everything so easy! The setup to get it working literally consists of just downloading the software and starting the setup app. It found my wireless network and connected to it on its own, and configured everything without much intervention from me. The printing quality is gorgeous, the scanning is about 10x faster than my old all-in-one (which was also an Epson), and all the maintenance procedures are easy with the touch screen explaining step-by-step what to do. I really wish I had purchased it sooner instead of hassling with my old printer as long as I did.

I recently purchased a new all-in-one printer, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. After using it for over a month, I can confidently say that it has exceeded my expectations in both quality and performance.
The print quality is impressive, with sharp text and vibrant colors that make documents and photos look professional. It handles various paper sizes and types effortlessly, which is a huge plus for my diverse printing needs. Scanning and copying functions are equally efficient, producing clear and accurate results every time.
One of the standout features of this printer is its user-friendly interface. The setup process was straightforward, and the intuitive controls make it easy to navigate through different functions. Additionally, wireless connectivity allows me to print from my laptop and smartphone without any hassle, making it convenient for my busy lifestyle.
Overall, this all-in-one printer has proven to be a reliable and versatile addition to my home office. Its combination of quality, functionality, and ease of use makes it a fantastic investment. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a dependable printer that delivers excellent results.

My old HP OfficeJet just up and wouldn't print any longer and I did not have the protection plan. So, this printer was on sale so I purchased it as a replacement. I am SO very glad I did. Much easier to set up and use compared to the HP and print quality is superior. Replacement ink is also mor economical as well. Does everything I need it to do with no fuss or muss.. And I like the convenience of two papaer trays so I don't have to switch back and forth between paper sizes.

I wanted a flexible and dependable all-in-one printer. After disappointment with my previous printers, I researched the best rated home office printers for 2021 and this model was in the top 5! I wanted to give Epson a try and I like the separate color ink cartridges, too. The set-up was simple and the speed of printing is so much much faster than I expected. I like the 2 deep paper trays-I have letter paper in one and A10 envelopes in the other. The printer picks the right tray based on the job. I like how my Epson communicates to me when there are software updates and firmware updates and best is it’s not trying to sell me something every time I use it.

The printer is very nice. It holds a lot of paper since it has 2 trays. I really wanted a printer that "hid" the paper. Now a days, many printers have exposed trays or backload paper through a rear tray. Another nice feature, although I havent tried it, is that it can print onto several sizes of paper. For example, you could print addresses onto envelopes. The display is touch screen and very easy to use. Set up and connection was easy. The only reason I've deducted one star was because some of the thin plastic parts feel flimsy and cheapy. This printer costs a pretty penny, and the parts in the paper trays make me nervous. Overall, it does what I want, has the features I want, and it is a great medium capacity printer.

The Epson Workforce 4830 is an excellent printer with two paper trays. It’s a bit taller than my older Epson printer but takes up lest space. The setup was very easy for my desktop and my wife’s laptop. It has built in imprint and printing using my Samsung 21 Ultra was a breeze.

This is my second one, can say from experience it’s a great all in one scan, copy, print and fax machine and does duplex scan and print as well. Easy to use software and wireless makes it easy with both windows and Mac machines as well as apple and android phones. That all said, this go around i optics for the Geek Squad protection as I found out with my first one if something goes wrong with a printer most places won’t work on them and you just replace it…so for the cost the chances are it’ll more than pay for itself by end of time based on prior time and use of previous one. Catch it on sale and it’s an even better deal for all you get. Can’t say epson support is or was much help at all so hopefully Geek Squad is what it’s appeared to be so far.

Bought a wf-3820 because Best Buy app stated it did duplex scanning - it didn’t. It also constantly dropped from my Wi-Fi. Returned it and replaced with this. It’s kinda tall, but other than another epson photo printer (with photo inks I didn’t want, and seemed really cheaply built) that did duplex scanning, others were even bigger. So far this seems like a superior product to the wf3820. Prints fine and scans duplex fine and stays connected to Wi-Fi. Even the control panel is bigger and easier to use. Not sure why Epson can’t make a smaller duplex scanning printer, but this seems great so far. The epson built-in software on the printer is great. The software you install on your Mac is not so special so I just use air print on macOS and iOS to avoid installing more bloatware. Feels solidly built too. Be aware that the smaller version of this, the wf4820, does not scan duplex even though the bestbuy app and some comment from (apparently) an epson employee says it does.

We bought this printer to replace a 9 year old workforce printer that was begining to have issues. We like the features of this printer like duplex printing, larger ink cartridges and large capacity paper tray.
This printer is a must if you have printer heavy needs. One heavy uses for us is a 5th grade teacher printing out work sheets to take to the building and copy,
In addition, the scanning features have been great! We use both scanning to cloud/email and scanning directly to a PC, both work well over our local network.
We have always had this setup as a network printer. I did run into one issue which is common where the printer kept falling off the wifi if it was idle for a few days. It seems to be hit or miss when it happened so I hard wired the printer to the main switch. With it hard wired we have no longer had any issues of it falling off the network after it goes to sleep at idle. Since then network priting and scanning has been flawless for our PCs, MacBooks, iPhones and my iPad.
Cartriges are indeed pricey. I do keep an eye on ink levels and keep an eye out for sales or cashback offers to save. I have not tried using aftermarket in the printer, we do not go through that much that it is a big expense.
