This is the best hardware Google has made! Likewise, it is still very much so a Google device. That means your phone will iteratively get better. While that is a good thing it can mean that you will have some pain points if you buy this phone in the first few months after its release. Overall, it is a very smooth, premium Android device that is priced below other comparable phones. If you are someone that is patient enough to let Google work out the issues (listed in the Cons section below) then you are getting one of the best phones to be released this year. Pros: - Great hardware design - Gorgeous screen - Super smooth and fast UI - Amazing rear cameras - No duplicate apps (i.e. 2 web browsers) - More custom settings available that previously could only be accessed from - Much cleaner and uniform looking widgets - The call screening feature is very convenient, and sometimes entertaining. Cons: - Front facing camera was extremely grainy in lowlight settings and created pictures that looked cartoonish at best and downright awful at the worst. - The phone would get very hot when using 5G. One time led to me needing to restart it to cool it down. Another time the camera app displayed a message that the flash was disabled because the phone was too hot. - Random software errors in a few different apps would freeze the phone until it restarted itself. (No, it would not let me hard reset it) - UI needs some polish (i.e. PiP works when swiping from the app playing the video or Maps but not if you side swipe from the app playing the video to another app without going home) - Videos can come out jittery sometimes - Fingerprint scanner was often times frustratingly slow - So so battery life

I'll lead off by saying that this phone exceled at everything except being a phone. Exceptional camera, battery life was good, responsive, good screen, etc. While on wifi, this phone was great. While on mobile network, this phone couldn't hold service. I tried 5G, forcing 4G. Nothing helped. Phone showed having at least half full bars in the service indicator but when I tried to open apps, they wouldn't open. Tested over a variety of apps. While connected to mobile data I would run a speed test and speeds would fluctuate between what would be expected, then down to <5 mbps. Updates did nothing to help. This was a hardware issue. Traded in for a P7P after dealing with this awful phone for one week. Good thing I managed to snag it for $400 for the day or two that Best Buy put it on sale.

The Upgrade You Been Waiting For.

I've been a Pixel fan since day one. I owned all the phones except for the Pixel 5 series. I skipped that one because I felt it was a downgrade compared to my pixel 4. Which brings me to today and my Pixel 6 Pro. I absolutely love this phone. Prior to my purchase I was worried that the Pixel 6 Pro was too big, or the camera bump would stick out too much and whether I would miss being able to squeeze the phone to summon the google assistant. After using this phone for a few days all those worries went away and it was clear that this was the upgrade I was waiting for. Everything about this phone is awesome. The display is gorgeous. The processor is super-fast. The cameras are excellent. Bluetooth connects flawlessly, and the size and weight are perfect. It is slightly larger than my pixel 4 and it feels like it weighs about the same weight. Instead of squeezing the phone to summon my assistant now I just have to long press the power button. As for the camera bump, it pretty much disappeared when I put the phone in a case. Then there is my favorite feature of the phone, the battery. All I can say is wow! It easily gets me a full day of use. Almost double of what I got with my pixel 4. So, If you are like me and are still hanging on to your pixel 4, you can rest easy. The Pixel 6 Pro is the upgrade you've been waiting for. I highly recommend buying it.

I miss the old Nexus days but this phone is a decent replacement overall. The focus is mainly on the camera, but that's just a reflection of the needs for today. Phone is quick, responsive, audio quality is great. Screen is top notch. The curved sides and size can't take a little to get used to but overall great phone.

This is the best Pixel phone Ive owned. Although I broke down and updated to a 9 ProXL a couple of months ago, my wife is now using the 6XL as its so much better than her Galaxy S23. Great phone with still good battery life.

In some ways, this is a massive upgrade from my OnePlus 7 Pro. In other ways, it's not so much. 1) Camera: This is the biggest asset of this phone. The back camera, and especially the telephoto lens, have completely changed the way I take pictures. I can whip this phone out, point and press the button, and it'll spit out an awesome photo 99% of the time. Magic Eraser is magical, too. The front camera leaves a little bit to be desired though, even compared to my girlfriend's old Pixel 3. I suspect this is because there's no autofocus on the selfie cam of the 6 Pro, but there is on the 3. For anyone that uses Snapchat, this phone performs better than any other Android phone on the market. 2) Screen: This is the reason I sprung for the Pro model. 120hz and 1440p are worth the extra cash compared to the 90hz and 1080p screen on the regular Pixel 6 for me. I've had no issues so far, and the centered hole punch camera is way better than a hole in the corner imo. Adaptive brightness is kinda wonky right now, but that should be addressed by an update soon. 3) Battery: This is where I see the least improvement from my old phone. This phone was marketed as having a 30W fast charging speed, but even with Google's 30W charger, it maxes out at 23W. Adaptive charging works pretty well so it's not a huge L, but I wish Google would allow us to choose between the slower speed + longer battery longevity and faster speeds + a little more battery degradation. Despite my fast charging gripes, the battery life has been excellent so far.

A disappointing moment to finally come to Google

Phone is absolutely beautiful and a powerhouse, but also absolutely riddled with problems and Google clearly is more interested in putting out the next phone than fixing those problems. I kind of regret departing from like ten years of Samsung. Just a few of the important notes regarding bugs... > Screen very dim compared to Samsung OLED, and very reflective > Battery life is not great, and the charging is limited supposedly to make the battery last longer, takes forever if you don't buy a powerful brick > Common issues with randomly just dropping all service... I actually did not experience this UNTIL Google started updating it to fix it > HOT HOT HOT - she's having hot flashes, thermal throttles constantly when playing Pokemon Go in like 20 minutes, even if it's not that hot out > Fingerprint reader is neat and I don't seem to have as much trouble as a lot of others > Camera bezel makes the phone VERY unbalanced in form > Again, Google priorities... dumb little things like some of the VPN support have been broken on this and apparently several generations and Google doesn't really acknowledge it and is not interested in fixing it > When it gets hot the screen has some issues registering touch placement > Not a lot of stock/out of box customization... which was disappointing > You have to buy your own charger, and the ones that will actually charge this reasonably are super expensive > Randomly enables auto-brightness is the worst possible times > Intense apps during multitasking seem to seize up sometimes, especially if it's running hot, but I don't recall ever having my old S7 or S9+ dropping the ball this much > These things are commonplace at this point, but no less annoying... no removeable storage or battery Okay, the good: > Powerful as heck... despite not having adequate cooling, it's got better specs than my girlfriend's Macbook Pro > Camera is fantastic, just don't try to take selfies with your dog in "portrait" mode because it can't tell which of you to blur out with fake bokeh > Very, very pretty > Nice size > 120Hz refresh, not a lot can really take advantage of it, but things like Pokemon Go look slick as hell > Sound quality is fantastic for calls and audio It felt like the phone had a lot of potential if Google would concentrate on fixing the kinks, but they made it worse with every update they have put out and appear to have forsaken it for the next generation. While I enjoy its beauty when it works, it's mired with problems that make me regret finally switching from Samsung. Most of the Pixel line has been rock-solid, if not terribly impressive at release, but they doinked it on this one dude.

So far this phone is super dope. I had the original pixel xl then the small size pixel 3 and hadn't upgraded since then. I was worried about the size but I preordered several cases off the zon and realized compared to the pixel xl it wasn't that much bigger so I was like let's go. The phone is awesome and whenever I look at my small pixel 3 I wonder how I took pictures or played games on such a small cellular device. My only complaint is the fingerprint scanner is slower than the one on the 3 but I have noticed it getting faster the more I use it as several other reviews have noted. I'm a pretty heavy user and the battery is awesome. It takes forever to run down and it's so big that with my old charger I could literally never get it fully charged. But with my 30w charger it charges real fast all the way to 100. Cases are still sparse but I'm using a cheap case until my real one comes and I got some sticky tape to put on the back of it so I don't drop it. I like the grippy cases. I get 5g everywhere I go and it hooks up to the radio in my car good using the bluetooth connection. I took some pics of the sunrise yesterday morning and they were supurb. The magical eraser is really cool it will erase anything you want. Sometimes it just leaves a big blob of a single color but whatever you wanted gone is gone. The phone itself is pretty good. The camera is exceptional. If you're not used to large screen phones it can take some time to adjust. Screen protector and case is a must as it's easy to drop due to its size.

I had a Pixel 3, then went to a Samsung (Note 10), now back to a pixel 6 pro. I remember how much I love pixel phones now with the pure android experience and no bloatware. The fingerprint sensor gets a lot of flack, and it is a little slow, but still WAY more accurate than my Note 10. The fingerprint sensor on that thing was TERRIBLE. It would work for me 2 out of 10 times on a good day. This one works 9 out of 10, and I know a software update is coming soon to improve that. Amazing camera and the magic erase tool is pretty cool. I sometimes have a little trouble getting it to connect to my android auto wirelessly, but I know a bug fix is coming for that as well. Turning the Bluetooth on and off for now seems to do the trick until it's patched. That's the other nice thing about pixels - if something doesn't work quite right on them they are usually pretty good at getting it fixed quickly. My only gripe is the thing is HUGE. I thought my Note 10 was big but this thing is way bigger. I went with the pro to get the extra functionality, but I wish they would stop making phones the size of cinder blocks.

Has its fair share of issues but I'd still say it's better than putting up with Apple, OnePlus, or even Samsung. I wish it charged faster, and the battery life is enough to get you through a day, but not a second day. That being said, I use 120Hz all the time and have it on higher brightness settings. I'll admit I wasn't a fan of the physical design at first, but it's grown on me. I also appreciate how Google did something different than the industry trend (putting the cameras in the top corner with individual circles) Speaking of cameras, if there's one reason to buy this phone, that's it! This is probably the best phone camera I've ever had, hands down.

Was so excited to try my first ever pixel phone. I figured android is from google, so let’s get a google phone. Such a let down. Battery life was terrible, fingerprint reader was unreliable, and the phone got hot during normal use. Only nice features were the design and camera. Will never buy another pixel. It was so bad that I swapped to IPhone.

Good sale price. Thus far happy with quality of screen, photos and sound. Though it is slightly larger and heavier than my previous phone, I do not find it cumbersome. Charger not included, not happy about that. Little frustrated with motions required to get to home screen, exit an app etc., seems like it should be easier to master. Battery life good, but feel like at this price should be better, and charges slow with basic charger.

I am a tech guru, work in iT, and I have played with the top 3 brands (Apple, Samsung, and Google). I have tested the iPhone 13 Pro Max, S21 Ultra, and Google Pixel 6 Pro. GP6P is definitely the winner in my book. Clean operating system with no carrier preinstalled Apps, and very smooth transitions. Adaptive 120Hz display, long battery life, great camera, and cost less than iPhone 13 pro max and Samsung S21 Ultra. From the start of my day at 0700 to when I go to bed I still have 50% battery left. The speakers are loud and clear. Google definitely hit a home run with this product. If I were to nitpick it would be the camera. It does stick out a bit and with any glass front and back device... it is definitely slippery and should definitely get a case. But other than that I am happy I made the switch from my iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The Pixel 6 Pro is a great phone so far. I have had no issues with fingerprint ID, charging system, or connnecting with other devices. However, documentation related to operating kinda sucks. "Help" inquiries are redirected a site that more closely resembles a reply to a search engine inquiry rather than simply explaining the ins-and-outs of how particular feature works, you get faced with a bunch of questions to your question, and frequently none are relevant. I also don't like the swipe feature. It often acts on it's own if you aren't careful with the way you hold it. But I simply changed to the old style Recent-Home-Back buttons and that works great. Camera is awesome but lacks a robust set of manual settings instead letting the software control everything. Android 12 so-far-so good but with a bit of a learning curve. Overall, I love it.

The product is as I read. I was able to use it translate whole documents from another language instantaneously for my work, and I love the pure android experience. The phone does heat up when charging. Overall very good phone experience, loud speakers, great pictures, magic eraser is very amusing to use. I preordered on 10/23/21 in store and was told best buy was honoring the pixel buds preorder deal from google. The best buy associate ran up the purchase wrong, and when they couldn't go back I was told by 3 separate people, they would make sure I received my 2 buds with my order. I had tried to get written confirmation from customer service and their manager promised the buds verbally. I picked up the order on 10/28 and no buds and was denied them.

Like any new phone it takes some getting used to. I had to go to BestBuy to get my old main screen layout. There are so many different menus and apps. It holds a charge for 2 days without running out, with moderate use. I bought an aluminum case for it, because I was used to a rugged phone that I carried in my back pocket. It's great but adds a 1/2'' to the width and height. I like how it connects to my computer and links Email and phone calls to it. I haven't experienced any shut downs or disconnects. The only thing that I need to adjust is the time span before it goes back to lock screen mode. My other phone did the same thing, also. That's the only issue.

Camera is great. Had an old Galaxy S8+ and this runs ring around it. Haven't tried the Eraser, but the optical zoom is very nice. Low light photos are good, but takes some time to capture them. Not a gamer, but battery life is fine for me even with 120Hz display refresh set. Voice quality is great on calls, even with speaker. Music sound good too. Slippery/smooth sides and back, so a case is a requirement -- although right now stores have little or no stock. Don't really get why people want shiney phones (which is about all of them) and then cover them with cases. Anyway, looks nice until I can cover it with plastic.
