Small fan, light weight. It really cools us off. Plus it is a oscillating fan. I am very happy with this item. Would purchase it again.

    Very Quiet Oscillating Fan

The Star Elite Holmes 16” Big Breeze Table Fan is an oscillating table fan. It is reasonably quiet, even on high and oscillates smoothly. This fan has six blades rather than the typical 3 or 4. The fan has three speed settings. The fan comes unassembled. But assembly is easy, does not require any tools, and there are basic instructions included. At first, I was a bit put off by the fact that the stand, housing, fan cage, etc. are all plastic. I reconciled this a bit as I discovered how much quieter this fan is than my comparison fan that has a metal fan cage. Things I like: • The fan tilts by simply pushing the fan head/cage up or down. There are no thumb screws to loosen and tighten and no set “click” stops. It seems to stay where I adjust it without slipping during operation. • It is fairly quiet, compared to a similar fan I already owned. • When you turn the control knob the first stop is low. One of the things that annoys me about my old fan is that you have to go from off past high and medium to get to low. On the Star Elite Holmes 16” Big Breeze Table fan, you go from off to low, then medium then high. I like this much better since I normally run the fan on low. Summary: I would recommend this fan to anyone needing a large table fan. It is quiet and seems well built in spite of the plastic base and housing. The fan oscillates quietly too, with no click click click as it moves back and forth.

This fan works wonderfully. It is quite a large which is bigger than I thought. The assembly of this fan only took a few minutes which surprised me. Instructions were definitely easy to understand! The fan is quite heavy so make sure ypu place this fan somewhere sturdy and safe away from children. This fan definitely packs a punch of air when you use it. There is 3 levels on this fan and they work great. I placed this fan in my bedroom and it cools off my bedroom in no time. Level one is the perfect setting for bedtime and the fan is super quite. Level three on the other hand could blow you away but great for those super hot days. I love how it moves throughout the room. This fan is perfect for any home to add to any room. It is definitely a big fan which is to big for a table but it does get the job done. Big breeze that definitely cools you off quickly. Great to use around pets which my dogs absolutely loved the big breeze that this fan gave off. They would lay infront of this fan for hours and well so could i.

    Powerful oscillating table fan

The 16" Holmes Oscillating Table Fan is a great addition to any room that needs a boost in airflow. This fan provides a powerful breeze that can cool down even the stuffiest of spaces. Its compact size makes it perfect for small rooms or personal use, while its oscillating feature ensures that the breeze is spread evenly throughout the room. One of the things I love about this fan is how easy it is to use. The simple controls on the bottom of the fan allow you to adjust the speed quickly and easily. The fan is also very quiet, so it won't disrupt your activities or conversations while it's running. The fan's design is sleek and modern, making it a stylish addition to any room. The black plastic body is easy to clean and maintain, and the sturdy base keeps the fan stable on any surface. The main drawback was that the fan was not easy to assemble. The plastic fan casing was difficult to snap into place to the rear. However, this is a one-time problem since once assembled you don’t have to deal with this problem again. Overall, I am very pleased with the Holmes Oscillating Table Fan. It provides a powerful and refreshing breeze, is easy to use, and has a sleek and modern design. I would definitely recommend this fan to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient cooling solution.

    Nice Fan but Problematic Assembly

This Big Breeze fan does in fact provide a nice breeze with its six fan blades but getting it assembled can be a challenge due to the large use of plastic parts. Overall the fan moves a lot of air and is reasonably quiet. The three speeds along with the tilt and oscillation make this a very usable fan. The downside of this fan is that it has a lot of plastic parts that need to be fitted together to complete the assembly. I was able to get mine assembled and I do like the fan but there were definitely some head scratching and frustrating moments getting it assembled. If you good at assembling things and don’t mind the plastic then this is a decent fan to get. If however you aren’t good at assembling things I would not recommend this fan. The base, fan blades and the front and rear fan blade guards are all made of plastic. The fan comes in several parts; the motor assembly, the base, the blade assembly and the front and rear blade guards. The base and blade assembly were simple enough to attach to the motor assembly. The frustration starts when you try to get the front and rear blade guards to snap together. They are both large circular pieces of plastic and mine weren’t quite the same roundness so I had to push and pull as I tried to get the plastic tabs to interlock with each other. I found the best way to assemble this was to start at one end and interlock one tab at a time as I conformed the plastic pieces into alignment. Like all plastic parts just as you get a tab inserted another one comes undone. Once I got all the tabs inserted the guards felt reasonably solid but knowing these tabs are the only thing keeping the front guard in place is a little concerning.

Very quiet, gentle breeze to gale wind performance

This is probably my forth HOLMES fan. I had a small desk fan for twenty some years. I finally wore the motor bearings to the point it would screech once in a while. Based on that great quality and longevity, I went with a slightly larger oscillating fan. I feel a gentle breeze allows me and my family to be comfortable without having to lower the air conditioning (AC). The small eclectic draw from the fan is a lot more economical to run than the AC. Even during the winter there are times a slight air movement helps with comfort. The fan is so quiet. It moves back and forth without a sound. I like the long 5 or 6 foot AC power cord. The base supports the fan well so I don't worry it will tip over or anything. Its black color blends easily with most all decors, at least mine. I admit I had some fun assembling it from the parts in the box. No tools were required. Everything either slipped together, snapped or screwed. The most challenging for me was lining up the front and back fan blade cage. Once I saw the bottom snaps into place first, the balance followed. So I had a few minutes of fun and felt proud I assembled it myself. Now I can sit back and enjoy the breeze.

Big fan of this bag fan!

The Holmes 16” Big Breeze table fan is larger than typical table fans; making it capable of cooling down larger rooms and areas more efficiently. A fully-mounted fan is 18.5” wide and 27” tall with a 12” X 10”base, so it is better suited for big tables and other larger elevated surfaces. It took around 10 mins to assemble the fan. Putting the pieces together is very intuitive so you won’t be lost without the manual, although I do recommend taking a quick look at it before you start. You basically just have to figure out the right order for the fan parts and then snap the “shoe” to the foot. It’s quick and simple! The fan is very easy to use and works just like previous fans I’ve used. There are 3 speeds, and with this size, slow is effective, medium is great for a quick cooldown and high feels like an Alaskan winter. The fan has an oscillation feature that can easily be turned on or off by pulling or pushing the knob up top. Additionally, the fan can easily be adjusted vertically. I was very fortunate to have this fan delivered the day before the first heatwave here in Southern California. I do have air conditioning in the house, but when it’s over 90 degrees outside, it’s hard to keep it cool enough inside. That just changed with this fan; because the moment I turned it on, I had it oscillating on the low setting and it was just enough to keep the room cool without feeling like I’m stuck in Miami during hurricane season. What else is there to say than that I’m a huge fan of this huge fan! And yes, it’s the fan that’s 16”, so it’s actually 2 inches bigger than promised; usually it’s the other way around!

    Quiet with excellent air flow

This fan is impressively quiet at all 3 speeds and really produces a high air flow at the highest speed. Even at the lowest speed, the fan circulates the air very well. With the fan being made mostly of plastic, it is definitely top heavy but the wide base supports it very well. I did not expect to have to assemble the fan myself, but it does make sense for shipping purposes. Assembly of the fan is fairly easy. The directions did lack some details such as cord placement during and after the assembly of the base, and the fact that the rear grill mounting nut (item ‘E’) needs to be removed before installing the rear grill (item ‘F’) [see picture], but overall it was fairly easy to put together. Last, for being a “table fan” I was a bit surprised by how big the fan is. The 16” description is of the fan blade diameter, not the overall fan size. Overall, I was very impressed by the performance of this fan due to its quiet operation and high air flow output, but slightly disappointed with its larger size.

I'm a fan of this fan

When I got this fan, I really didn't understand how big it would be. It's fairly big. 16" of fan is pretty large for a table fan. It puts out a lot of air. The name BREEZE BLASTER is really right. For the price it really is a lot of circulation. So, the base thing that the fan has to do is push air for you. This fan does that really well. It has three speeds, and they ramp up pretty well, although I wish the lowest speed was lower. The entirety of the fan is plastic except for the motor. I didn't love the finish and I think it won't stay shiny over time. If you aren't moving it around much, you won't notice the materials. But when you do, you'll think it's going to wilt in your hands. It just doesn't feel very sturdy. For the price, however, it is practical and useful. The fan is no-frills air, and that's just fine! I did notice noise in the oscillating and non-oscillating operation. The base doesn't have any weight in it, which didn't prevent vibrations from occurring during use. I guess I can add a sandbag to the top of the base to stabilize it, but really, there should be some weight in the base. It would definitely make a difference. It wasn't a dealbreaker for me. I have a lot of friends that would appreciate the value of this fan. If you need circulation, I recommend it.

The Holmes - 16'' Breeze Blaster Oscillating Table Fan is an outstanding method to add a nice breeze to a room, especially as the weather gets warmer. The Holmes - 16'' Breeze Blaster Oscillating Table Fan is the perfect size to be placed on an end table or on your desk without being cumbersome. It runs quiet, so you don't have to worry about running it while you're working or sleeping and it causing excessive noise pollution. The fan is also easy to move. It's light weight, but is sturdy. The fan is easy to operate. No complicated controls or difficult levers to figure out. The power cord is an adequate length which is awesome! No need to use an extension cord, or have the wire placed in a hazardous position. Everything is great right out of the box. I like the design of the fan. The color has a smooth-glossy-finish that really makes the fan look like an accent piece in your home. Really nice touch! I have to say this fan is going to come in very handy in the summer! It comes disassembled in a few pieces, but I was able to easily have it put together in a matter of minutes. I didn’t even need to look at the instructions. But they are provided if you need them. You basically put the back cage on and screw it in, then put the blade on and screw in the cap over that and then attach the front cover. It's as simple as that! Its made of fairly sturdy plastic, but I don’t think id want it to fall off a table or anything or it would probably break. Turning it on gave me a very satisfying and stronger breeze than I was expecting. It definitely packs a punch and can really move some air! It has 3 different levels as well as the knob you can push in to have the fan oscillate. I didn’t find it to be overly loud on any of the settings. On high you will notice its in the room, but it wouldn’t be that hard to hear a TV or have a conversation over. All in all this is a great fan and you should definitely pick one up for the summer!

This is a well balanced, nice looking, big breeze table fan that oscillates to move air around a room. This is a large table fan best suited to medium/larger rooms in my opinion. It was fairly simple to put together out of the box. Instruction sheet is sufficient. It is well balanced to sit on a table while oscillating back and forth. I like the look of the shiny black, I think it looks very nice. With 6 fan blades it can push a lot of air when it is on high, so I feel it's a good fit for medium/larger rooms. However, in smaller rooms you can, of course, use the lower settings and it would be fine. The settings are adjusted by turning a plastic dial rather than the usual push buttons. The plastic dial is thin and feels flimsy, but it works fine. Setting are marked from 0 though 3, instead of Off, low, medium, high. The feet do a good job of keeping the fan in place while it's in operation which should help keep it from doing any damage to the tabletop. It gets the job of moving air around done and looks nice doing it.

I received the Holmes 16'' Breeze Blaster Oscillating Table Fan in Black, the fan has a nice sleek and stylish look, with a black color that blends in with any décor. Easy-to-use dial control. The fan comes unassembled but assembly is a breeze, with no tools needed. It is quiet and seems well built in spite of the plastic base and housing. It has three speed settings, low, medium, and high. This fan has a good airflow cooling in large areas thanks to its 6-blade Breeze Blaster design, it seems reliable and efficient choice for anyone looking to help cool down their home.
