Customers appreciate the 27UL600-W monitor's exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and impressive HDR performance. Many also find it to be a good value for its price and easy to set up. However, some users note limitations with the stand, lack of built-in speakers, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The absence of height adjustment is also a point of concern for some customers.

LG 4k Monitor A Great Value

I use two monitors to professionally edit video - and for entertainment use. Rather than use a single large monitor, my editing software leads me to prefer two medium-sized monitors side by side.
Initially, I set out to find a medium to large 4k monitor/TV, but Best Buy staffers steered me toward the LG 27UL600 feeling that it would provide a more appropriate workstation-suitable screen. The price was better than I thought would be available, but still, a little more than I'd wanted to spend.
It has proved to be worth every penny and more! The picture - especially in the Cinema mode available leaves nothing to be desired. But where it surprises me is in the clarity and readability of typical text documents! The fonts appear clear, sharp, and easy on the eyes.
With the LG 27UL600, I've been able to provide clients with a consistent, dependable image for their video uses that simply hadn't been possible before. It is easy to use, a breeze to set up, and also requires a minimal footprint on my desk.
I highly recommend the LG monitor and will look far more favorably toward LG products of the kind in the future. The 27UL600 has made me a fan!

Great 4k side-monitor. Great value at $280

My use: I just wanted a side-monitor at a 4K resolution. Just being able to see random tabs on the side, discord, spotify, netflix, youtube, hwmonitor, etc. while playing games or doing my main work on my main monitor.
I think this monitor is perfect for that. I'm not into any sort of work that involves colour accuracy, but it looks good to me. Brightness is turned down to 9-15~ and there is very little BLB or ips glow. Very happy about that. Not sure if that's just the standard for these models, or if I got lucky. Either way, I think I got a near perfect monitor in terms of blb, glow, and having no dead pixels.
This will be my 3rd LG monitor, and so far it's been a good experience. I've never had to contact customer service tho.. so I cannot comment on how LG CS is. But my other two LG monitors, which are quite OLD (22MP55HQ-P) have never given me issues.. I even dropped one from about a 1' and it still works perfectly.. I know that ppl hate on thiccc bezels, but I think it survived because of it's thick bezel.
I had been debating between the Dell 4k S2721QS (much better warranty and CS), this 4k, and some other of LG's 4k monitors UL500, UK650, and another that I cannot remember. Went with the UL600 because it dropped to $280.. and I THINK? it's the most recent release. LG uses some of the worst naming for their models. At least it isn't as bad as viewsonic's.
The OSD joystick is great. Great positioning and easy to use.
The input ports are meh.. I'd prefer them to be on the bottom like every other monitor. If you're wanting to mount your monitors close to the back wall (if your desk is backed into a wall) the ports and cords can cause issues.
I personally wouldn't have bought this for GAMING on.. imo, 4k gaming monitors aren't there yet. 1440p144z is the best right now. Especially at this price point. There is noticeable overshoot when I tried to play games on this monitor. Some games it's worse than others. But if you're immersed into the game enough, you may not notice it. THIS IS NOT A GAMING MONITOR. That said, I think it's perfectly fine to be used for some games. When I get a ps5, I'll probably use this 4k monitor to game on.. but if the ps5 finally supports 1440p.. then I'd probably just use my 1440p monitor.
I've only owned this for a week~, but my initial impressions are very good. Hopefully it lasts for years without any issues. I will update this review (if best buy allows for such things) if anything should happen.
Would recommend at $280.. but if it isn't on sale.. I would look at the Dells which are frequently at $300. Also Dell has a much better warranty.

This monitor was just what I needed for my desk setup at home! Since we are in lockdown it was important for me, as a student, to get the right screen real estate to do the most I can. The beautiful HDR screen is perfect with my Macbook Pro and without a doubt tbe display looks even bigger with the super thin bezels!

I bought this to use with a new Mac Mini after coming from a 5K iMac. I had a Samsung VA panel I tired first and scaling was a huge issue and the picture was lacking. This was more but the IPS panel was a huge improvement and the native scaling it picks up in macOS works great so no extra stress on the system. Picture is crisp and clean. I'm using the monitor on an Ergotron monitor arm attached to my desk. I teach music K-university doing a lot of work from home at the moment. I also use for graphic design, music production, and movie watching. Functions perfectly. I've only used the HDMI but I get full UHD at 60Hz on both HDMI 1 and HDMI 2. Viewing angles are great as is clarity. No regrets with the extra money over a VA panel.

Just got a Mac Mini a few days ago and needed a 4K monitor for it. Not wanting to spend the money for Apple's Pro Display XDR which it the top of the line. They pair nicely with Macs. This monitor has a really nice 4K picture for the price point. That important, because you have to spend a couple of hundred more to get Thunderbolt 3 connections, USBC Ports. With that connectivity you get the deeper monitor integration. That said, This monitor is a great value, watching 4K movies is a blast. Running Big Sur on Apple silicon hooked up to this monitor is amazing. If you can afford a XDR go for it. If you want a good 4K monitor that's easy on your pocket, fun to watch 4k content on, and easy on your eyes when it's time to work, go for this one!

I started working from home and needed a new monitor so I saw this one and checked out all the reviews on another website and that made that made up my mind. once it arrived installation was easy, it only took a few minutes. After seeing the picture I've decided to purchase second monitor in the near future.

This works great but I bought this expecting it to run a 120 refresh rate but have come to an understanding months later that it only runs 60Hz. I mainly run this to play cod warzone and does a great job but I am a bit disappointed that I can’t run 120Hz.I have to settle in with my new Xbox series X with just 60Hz now and not get the full experience.

I have been researching monitors for a while now and decided on a 4K IPs display with FreeSync technology. Wanted a monitor for light gaming and video editing in 4K etc.
The monitor was easy to setup and worked right out of the box. However after visually inspecting the build quality I noticed the monitor had trim pieces that was not adhering to the screen. See attached photos. This immediately raises concern about the rest of the build quality.
I expect this from other smaller manufacturers but not LG.
It’s an IPS display so that means light bleed. Every single IPS display that I have owned has some degree of light bleed and I accept that. However this monitor has excessive amount of light bleed on all 4 corners again raising my concerns about the quality.
The picture looks great and what I would expect from LG but given the other issues with the build quality I am going to be returning this monitor.
Also the monitor doesn't adjust vertically only tilts. You would think for a $400 monitor you could get a decent mount that can adjust the height of the monitor.

I own two of these. The quality, picture, and build is incomparable to monitors I’ve owned in the past. I use this for my PlayStation 4 Pro and PC Gaming Rig. The interface is easy to navigate as well. These monitors however, do not have speakers. Let’s be real though, if you’re dropping this much on this monitor your more than likely using a good set of external speakers. HDR 60HZ refresh rate.

The LG 27UL600-W 27 inch IPS 4K UHD FreeSync Monitor with HDR is the perfect monitor for a home office desktop set up. The 4K resolution is outstanding and means you no longer need the larger 32 or 35 inch monitors that take up so much space. The 27 inch size is perfect with the 4K resolution to give you the high quality graphics you want. The white back of the monitor keeps it cool and clean looking and does not show dust like black will. A very clean and neat set up for a desktop.

When I first got it, it was great the picture was clear, but I also realized it felt a little blurry at times, and I wasn't sure why. Only having the monitor for 2 weeks, the screen started flickering and then had image burn on it (meaning previous desktop windows stuck on the screen with ghost-like effect, even after turning off the computer and leaving the monitor on.) I restarted my computer about 5 or 6 times, and it didn't resolve the issue. I plugged my computer into a different monitor and it was fine. Returned the monitor right before the 15 day deadline, got a different monitor instead.

I’ve owned this monitor for less than a month and it was great but the base is way too small for a monitor this size. It is very top heavy and it fell over at the slightest bump. For a monitor this expensive, I would definitely recommend purchasing the extended warranty. I did not and how have a broken monitor and there nothing LG or Best Buy can do without the warranty.

Great Monitor, No Dead Pixels, HDR Effect Reliable

I have been in need of a new monitor and wanted to upgrade to a 4K HDR. I decided to try LG and enjoyed the picture along with ease of navigation within the menu. However I have discovered that if you have a GeForce 980 ti or lower graphics card it predates HDR with DisplayPort 1.2. Luckily you can use HDMI will provides the 4K HDR resolution @ 60Hz
Pros:
Price
No Dead Pixels
HDR 10 Effect Setting works well
Length of supplied HDMI cord
Includes both HDMI and Display Cords
4K 60Hz / FreeSync
On-Screen Control Software
Cons:
Weight of Monitor
Not Height Adjustable
Audio Speakers are average
Max is 60Hz refresh rate
::Setup::
The setup was very easy to put together, the stand comes with easy to follow instructions along with the cables to allow it to easily connect to the back of the computer. Depending on your graphics card you will be using Display Port or HDMI. If you have DisplayPort 1.2 it will not provide the 4K HDR input however the HDMI cable included is 2.0 which will allow if your graphics card supports it.
::Monitor::
The monitor has 2 speakers located at the bottom that provides stereo sound. It sounds good if that is the only source of audio output you have. The menu is easily accessed via a nob under the monitor and is easy to navigate through the settings menu. There are multiple picture settings that could be selected however I chose to stay in HDR Effect to gain the full gambit of color depth / accuracy. **Note - if you use Windows 10 HDR Mode , the monitor disables the HDR Effect picture option. I would recommend not using the Windows 10 HDR mode as it did not display all colors accurately.
Overall a really good monitor for movies, pictures and casual gaming. If you are really into First Person Shoots then I would recommend playing on a monitor that has at least a 144 or 240 Hz rate.

Bought 2 for my wife back in March to work from home. After about four months of use one of the monitors developed this wave of light color that would roll across the screen. Had to send it back for repair. Took about four or five weeks to get it back and although the original problem was fixed we noticed that the monitor had a slight yellowish color compared to the other one. Reset settings on both and still the one that was sent back for repair has a yellowish tone to it. Unfortunately LG wanted me to send it back again instead of just replacing the monitor. Unfortunately, given their success rate I have no confidence in this monitor. It’s obviously defective and you can only put so many Band-Aids on things. So I would not recommend this monitor based on my issues. Attached picture shows the monitor on the right is the one that was repaired.
