The people that write bad reviews about this machine clearly do not read the directions. The people that write that the water does not completely cover the load, do not read the directions. The directions clearly state that the water may not completely submerge the linen. But that does not mean it does not get clean. Less detergent and still clean is how the machine operates. I would rate this a five star yet, I received one error message that said I needed to return it to the selling agent. However after rearranging the load, everything has been working fine. I have owned this machine for a month now and other than what was already stated, I have had zero issues. It is quiet, efficient, and cleans just as well as any other machine I have ever used. The people that claim that water is left where you place the detergent, again have not read the directions. It is normal for water to be left in the detergent location. Per the directions, you are to leave the tray open with the lid open after use to evaporate the water. I have had zero issue with mildew or anything like that. Overall, this machine has everything that I need to wash anything from bedding to clothing to towels, etc. Definitely worth the money, and definitely worth a purchase. I read a lot of reviews prior to buying this machine. Let it be known, this is by far, the machine that you want to buy. Reasonably priced, and does what it needs you to do. Wash your clothes in an efficient manor. The people that say it's a hassle because the directions are not fully complete..... All you have to do is take a picture of the barcode in the directions and it downloads that section for you to read. It's not that difficult. The only thing I cannot comment on is how long it will last. But it's been great so far and because I read a lot of reviews prior to purchasing this machine, I figured I would let everybody know how it's been working. Knowing what I know now, I would definitely recommend this machine.

Amazing!! This washer is huge. Our king size quilt, fitted sheet and pillow cases all fit and are washed thoroughly. When you load the washer it will measure the load. A few spins and itll set the time according to the weight. The water will start to fill, throughout the washing process. The water is also according to load size. If it needs more water it will add water with a spin as well. It gets our clothes very clean. All clothing will need to be zipped and buttoned. Everything closed. My husbands work clothes that are always drenched in sweat and socks come out without any hint of his hard working scent. Our kids grass stains and marker stains come out without presoaking. Although I get them cleaned right away. There is an lg smart app that will help you with diagnostics for your washer and dryer. We are very happy with this purchase!

Great wash and great spin speeds, on highest spin towels etc, come out pretty dry. Save money on drying. It’s “He”, Read instructions for loading Read instructions for amount of detergent & Fabric Softener. Digital screen, with lots of choices. Read the instructions. This machine, our choice does not have Agitator It is the impeller model. Washes without tangling, clothes especially shirts. Next to the soap draw is a downward facing water jet for some rinse cycles. Great machine. Only thing I wish, could choose HOT Wash with Speed wash (29 mins), love the feature, makes washing much faster.

    Great Washing Machine

Had to replace my basic Whirlpool HE washing machine. Went with the LG machine and so far I’m very satisfied with the product. Pros: Load balancing feature uses centrifugal force to balance load. Once filled machine will spin in both directions until load balances itself it does this after every cycle. It takes a little time to do this making for longer wash times but it does it well. I intentionally put just one pair of heavy jeans in with T-shirts and socks, no problem at all. Machine is very quiet in all cycles. Machine gets my clothes clean including whites. Spin cycle and being able to adjust rate of spin; on high/max my clothes dry in much less time. Nice to have a glass cover so you can look for potential load balance issues. No slam lid. Hot water selection is all hot water not the new HE method of blending hot with cold. Multiple soak times. Setting for waterproof clothing. Easy to level. Packaging has minimal corrugated to dispose of. Cons: if you have shelves or cabinets in laundry room you will need 57 1/2” to 58” for the lid to be able to open fully and stay open. This machine a little taller due to motor and drive being under wash tub. I missed this so not really a con just reality I should have measured when I went to look at machine. It’s 2-3 inches further out from wall than I would have liked. Again no big deal. Delayed start and rinse and spin only are combined in control panel. (Possibly confusing) Giant styrofoam piece to dispose of or recycle. That should be corrugated paper. I want to close by saying I’ve purchased tens of thousands of dollars from Best Buy over the years and never posted a review. I do today because there are some highly regarded reviews about this machine that I think are inaccurate in my experience. Insufficient manual: I consulted manual twice. Once to see if plastic inserts on intake piping needed to be removed. Manual made no mention to do so, so I didn’t. Second, to determine if Waterproof setting was what I thought it was. It was. Manual told me. Downloading the online manual was a breeze I have it in Apple Books should it be needed. Not enough water in tub: Thank the EPA. Don’t blame LG. I’m all for water conservation. So as long as my clothes are clean does it matter? The heavy duty setting should be renamed the Nostalgia setting because it operates very similarly to an old style washing machine. Deep water setting same answer. As long as the machine has settings to overcome the settings you do not agree with for water level is that a negative? Photo on left comforter from queen bed. Only reason not fully covered air pockets in comforter. Second photo high speed spin. Sorry they’re sideways. Time will tell through durability if this was a great purchase. The machine has allowed me to develop a very specific set of skills, if you are a piece of dirty laundry, I will find you; and I will wash you.

This is the BEST washer I've ever had! My clothes are clean and they smell amazing. My old washer used to shake the whole house. This one is so quiet that I have to keep checking to see if it's washing lol! It does everything that it claims. So far I have had no trouble but I also purchased the extended warranty so I have peace of mind. Outstanding performance all around. I will always shop BestBuy!

So far I’m in love with my new LG washer. Keep in mind I was using a 14 year old whirlpool cabrio that basically stopped going through the proper cycles and took forever to wash one load. This LG is so fast and really gets my clothes clean. I still have some issues with stuck on stains on my kids’ clothes, but that’s mostly my fault for not pretreating the stains right away. It’s sort of fun to watch the cycles through the glass top. I hope this LG lives up to its reputation as one of the top washers in consumer reports and lasts for many years. No regrets so far, I’ll update if I run into any issues, but so far it’s amazing in every single way! By the way, I researched washers for over 6 months before I broke down and bought one, so believe me when I tell you this is one of the best out there in the price category I was aiming for ($600 and under). Also, it’s 57 inches tall with the lid open so I had to pull it further away from the wall than I would have liked because of my overhead cabinets, but I knew this ahead of time and it doesn’t bother me.

Very happy with this washing machine after having a front loader, this machine has tons more room and does not have an agitator, so there is more room for clothes. Our old machine would smell really bad because of the front seal door. This machine does not have this issue.

I'm very Happy with this washer. We first bought a Westinghouse to match Our Dryer and it was Horrible. We returned the Westinghouse and changed brands. The LG washer has many features one of which lets you add extra water to your wash when needed. It is taller than Our Westinghouse, so you need to take measurements because when the top is open it just does reach the bottom of Our cabinet door. it also is a little deeper. It has no agitator in the middle which takes getting use to but You'll really like it.

I got the matching set, and am really happy with them both. I really like that the lid just sets down - there's no annoying latch or anything. It has all the features I want, but isn't overly complex. It has a neat lighted knob for presets, but you can also manually change the load size/temperature/etc. The inside was really shiny with a cool design; I don't know if it really affects performance, but it just makes doing laundry more enjoyable. The same goes for the clear lid - I don't need to watch it go, but it's neat that I can see inside. I've done a few loads now, and am really happy with the set. I thought about buying second-hand, but it was worth spending a little bit more to have the peace of mind.

Always been an LG fan from tvs, microwaves, washers and etc.. So my dryer went not a Lg so my wife wanted a matching set which I agreed since we just remodeled our laundry room. Decided to go with this because of good reviews. Well that was the biggest Mistake!!!!! Lg's customer service is terrible!!!! After months of phone calls and technicians coming out.. We are still arguing with them. The washer works fine except does not clean the clothes!!! Every pullover sweatshirt pocket fills up with dirt!!!!!! If there is even blade of grass on your clothes it will come out with it on it... multiple times after washing the clothes on with extra water, deep wash, etc still comes out the same.. One manager told us they will send out another technician and if he can't find anything wrong they will replace or refund it.. Weeks later call again and now they said they will not!! Its pretty bad when you have to take your clothes to a laundry mat to was your own clothes!!!! Never again!!!!!!!!!!° Buyer please save your money and time buy something else!!!!

I bought this washer & dryer along with 2 other kitchen appliances and I am very pleased with all of them. The washer & dryer took some getting used to after upgrading from a 15 year old pair & im still figuring some things out, but so far I love all my new LG Appliances. The washer & dryer have every setting I need to wash & dry just about anything I need to. I really like the tub clean feature and the speed wash on the washer. The dryer has several settings as well including a speed dry, wrinkle care and freshen up. Best of all I shopped all over to find The best deal & nobody beat Best Buy. Especially after price matching and the 10% off sale when you buy 4 appliances. The in store associate who helped me & the delivery guys were so knowledgeable and helpful during my purchase as well. I would definitely recommend all my LG appliances and buying them at Best Buy.

Wish I could give it 0 stars. Absolutely the worst purchase I have ever made. Would you like to experience life as an early 20th century washer woman, walk around in dirty clothes you have put through a wash more than once, waste tons of water and watch your electric bill soar even higher? Then this is the washer for you! Doesn't clean clothes so much as wet them and swish them back and forth in place. You can put something in there folded up and it will come out folded. Stains on your clothes. You'll be scrubbing them out by hand and adding extra water and an extra rinse so the soap gets out, especially deodorant or not only will it not remove it, it will transfer it to other parts of the shirt or even other clothing. I am now stuck with this purchase of close to $3000 dollars (bought the dryer as well, see my other review) with tax, installation and service plan until I can afford to replace it. It get to debate which is more costly and time consuming, using these two large hunks of junk at home or going to a laundry mat. For large loads and items, i choose the laundry mat so that i can cut laundry down to one day instead of two. As a side note, if you are under 5'5" or 5'6" you'll be standing on a stool and turning yourslef upside down to get clothes from the bottom.
