If you are looking for an all in one remote that will control just about all your toys, look no further. For the price you can not go wrong $40-$50 bucks on sale. I am currently using this remote to control a Vizio TV, Channel Master DVR+, Samsung Blu-ray Player, Roku 3 & a Samsung Sound Bar System W/Sub and it works very well, it takes a minute or two to get the hang of it, but after that you will not miss having all those other remotes. Setup was a breeze and it is done by creating an account with Logitech online and bamn, you are all done. The only issue that I can see, since I had the remote for a while, is the slippery backside of the remote, it has no grip at all, or should I say very little grip, other than that it is a very good remote with a back-lit keypad and LCD screen. One more thing save your self some time and pick up some rechargeable batteries, it does work with regular batteries, but rechargeable ones work better and last longer. My package did say 2 rechargeable batteries included, but quality control must have been on lunch when the packaged mine, luckily I all ready had AA rechargeable batteries.

Needed a new remote because puppy used the TV remote for a chew toYou, so I didn't do any research ahead of time. Went to Best Buy because I knew the staff there would know more about remotes than "they are in Isle 12". A vvery nice, knowledgeable lady walked up and talked me through what would be best for me (I dont see a need to spend 100-200 on a remote). Setup was really easy, the builtin color screen talks to me in sentences, not cryptic codes or blink sequences. ithe display isn't touch screen, but I'm happy about that. The buttons around the screen you use to select things on the screen work very well. Everything on the display is crisp, we'll lit and easy to read. Plus all the buttons glow in the dark, so I don't have to angle it at the TV to see which button is which. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is sometimes it doesn't turn everything off when I hit the off button. However, the display always asks if everything did what it should, and has a 1-button process to resolve it. A minor annoyance at most. (See attached picture. The display is crystal clear, my iPad just didnt capture it well) Plus, the following week it went on sale for $10 less, spoke with customer service and they gladly rebat d the difference.

The remote was very easy to set up and get going. I had it set up and working about 20 minutes after I opened the package. Easy enough that my entire family had no problems working it. Only downfall I have come across is if the remote were to fall off the couch on to carpet, you have to go the guided setup process. It appears that the slightest drop the batteries loose contact with the post. It's a minor problem that will have to accepted.

I've been using Harmony remotes for a number of years and like them. They are easy to use and easy to program. I now have three of the Harmony 700s. Rechargeable batteries were the selling point for this particular model over similar offerings. I don't understand why this model has been discontinued. I did have one little recharging glitch. I think the battery was getting very low. When I plugged it in the remote would indicate that it cannot charge the battery. Since then, I've never let the batteries get that low and haven't had any problems.

I bought this when it was the deal of the day so i got it at a great price. However it was very difficult to set up but once i was able to figure out how to set up the activities i liked it. The only downside is it doesn’t work with the firestick or fire tv

Finally can put aside all of the remotes. custom buttons were key to this purchase and in this remote you can customize the buttons and the screen. Able to control TV and soundbar volume in one easy swoop. Haven't found a device it can't control. it even can control and an hdmi switch. Programming remote is not pain staking. Would recommend for all.

Was easy to setup and customize. Quite often, but less than half the time the remote won't perform all tasks for a function. Hitting the Watch TV button I have set to turn on TV, cable box, set TV input to cable. Not all those steps will happen, TV might not turn on, or cable box won't. I just have to hit the help button and everything fixes itself. It does make life easier, and may get another next time it's on sale. The ability to recharge the battery is a huge plus.

I bought this remote to get rid of the remote clutter we were experiencing. Cable remote, blue-ray remote, sound system remote, Amazon Fire and Chromcast. Remote is easy to setup since you do it online. No codes to punch into the remote like other remotes I have had. I can easily switch from TV, Blu-Ray, Amazon Fire and Chromecast. Switches the HDMI ports on the sound system which is the master unit for all of my devices. Remote is rechargeable which is nice. I liked this remote so much I gave it as gifts to my extended family.

My first smart remote, I was anticipating a long complex configuration process, but much to my surprise, it was super easy and quick to program the remote to what we want to do with it. Also easy to make changes. Start out by having available the brand and model numbers of your gizmos, as you will need to know exactly what you are trying to control. Download the Harmony software, plug the remote into your computer via included USB cable, and start in. There are a few pre-defined actions, e.g., Watch TV, Listen to Music. By telling the Harmony software what to turn on, you build an action. For example, to Watch TV, I have the Harmony turn on my display, my tuner, and my receiver, and set the receiver to the appropriate HDMI input. When the remote executes an action (e.g., Watch TV), the display will ask if everything is working...if you say no, it will try to turn on the gear that didn't turn on. Pretty sophisticated. Is this One Remote To Rule Them All? So far, yes it is: I have four remotes in a drawer and one sitting on my table. Well, two: I like the remote came with the AppleTV 4, but I could drive the Apple TV with the Harmony. Why is this my first universe remote? Well, I couldn't bring myself to shell out big $$$ for "just a remote." At this price point, it's ridiculous not to buy one. And rest assured, this is a very sophisticated device that is very easy to program.

I have a 4 piece home theatre setup for which I use this device. The device setup was super simple. All I was required to do was download the my harmony application for my remote, find my model numbers for my specified devices, and enter them in. The app walks you through the rest. I have two additional "activity" setups, as they are aptly named through this device. I hit one button and it turns on everything I need to watch tv. I also have an activity setup up for watching movies. Watch tv turns on the cable setup. Watch a movie turns on my bluray setup. I was also able to setup two additional devices for a separate room. This product has not let me down. Super easy to use, you get everything out of 7 different device remotes all in one remote. No option is left out. It truly is a universal remote in every sense of the word.

I purchased this for my in-laws who had 5 different remotes to accomplish simple tasks. They had the TV remote, cable remote, receiver, blu ray, and the surround sound remote. The setup is easy and straight forward. Find the model numbers and register them then set your commands. Now hey just hit watch TV and everything turns on for that setting automatically. Same with Watch a movie and one custom one to get to Netflix. Great product and it was a nice surprise that it includes rechargeable batteries.

This remote always works. Sometimes when I hit the activity button (such as watch Bluray) to turn on the systems my receiver would revert back to "TV". However, I adjusted the settings on the remote so that the TV would turn on first and others would follow. This way I don't have to hit the Help button. I like lots of buttons because it makes using the remote more efficient. The screen is helpful, but the interface is way too time consuming when configuring the screen when you have tons of options like I do for my receiver. But, I can totally customize which order the options show up on the screen. I wish it were radio frequency and I wish it had a cradle for charging so I wouldn't have to connect it to the charger. Other than that, it's a great remote. For beginners I could see how they could get frustrated with how to use the remote. It takes time to understand the concept of using the activity buttons and switching from device to device.

As a nontech guy, it took a second to figure out how to load all of the systems on the remote. Once you get past that, you may have to lower the repeat function on it b/c it would double enter the digits when entered. The Logitech website will help you resolve this and their site is awesome compared to others. Overall, it takes a while to get used to but once you do, very functional and allows you to enter/use a lot of devices. Only reason four stars is because of the repeating function settings are so high, otherwise pretty darn cool remote!

I use this remote on some older equipment in a secondary audio/video setup I have in my home. It was somewhat surprising, but each piece was in Logitech's database - 15yo preamp/processor, 15yo SACD player, 12yo universal player, etc. Saved the day with the older pre/pro as the original remote had begun to malfunction and original replacements were nowhere to be found at any price. As with any programmable remote, there is a small learning curve in its use and setup. In order to make the Logitech as user-friendly as possible, some button's functions may need to be taught using the original remote, assuming you have a working one. I've never been a huge fan of universal programmable remotes as they typically require multiple button presses to replicate a single-button operation of the original, but this Logitech certainly has its place and has served me well. The rechargeable battery feature of this particular model is convenient as well as being environmentally friendly. Overall I am very pleased.

    Easy Setup, Less Clutter

I've had other Harmony remotes before, so when my current batch of electronics started to become cumbersome with remotes, Harmony was the first thought I had to clear the clutter. I didn't need something with tons of features, just something easy to set up and easy to use, and this fits the bill perfectly. No more scrambling around trying to find that one remote that goes missing when turning on all the devices - just one button and everything is on and set to go. The only downside, which may have more to do with my TV, or the way I set it up, than the remote itself, is that it seems to have a rough time remembering which input the TV is currently on, so when it's cycling the power on for different activities, occasionally it ends up on the wrong input and I'll have to manually switch it - but even then, using the on-screen prompts to guide through the process is easy and still way better than trying to juggle remotes.

I've had Harmony remotes (2 of them) for years. The 700 is the best option as its the least expensive of the re-chargeable ones. Does everything Comcasts remote does and more. I keep the model 650 as back-up when recharging the 700. (Takes a while) . It controls every component I own. WITH ZERO PROBLEMS!! Finally had to change to a new 700 after 5 years. Not because it stopped working, but because of to much nacho cheese in the buttons.
