I was so excited for the release of this game but when I finally played it I felt a bit let down. The graphics are beautiful but look hazy occasionally even during cutscenes The story in the first game was pretty nonexistent but due to the gameplay and feeling of an action thriller it was great, in this one they focus more on story but do it so lazy and choppy. It becomes repetitive and annoying. Their open world style is fun but due to a new skill tree system becomes tedious to navigate. I kept finding myself attempting a 180 turn and grab on ledge and not being able to do it since I had not unlocked it in the story. I get it's a prequel and faith is still growing and acquiring skills but they limited her so much in the early stages of the game that it makes it annoying to continue playing the spirit of the game is still there but it fails to capture the feeling of the previous title. Still fun but has it's drawbacks

The original have was a breath of fresh air. I loved the feeling of running on the rooftops of buildings and defying heights. The story was not the best but it was all about the gameplay. This game continues that feeling and the story does fall a little flat but still decent. The art style is similar to the original with some improvements. Highly recommend for lovers of parkour!

I love Mirrors Edge! I bought the game in 2008 and still play it weekly! I'm so happy a new Mirrors Edge is coming out, this game looks fantastic. If you want a game that's completely unique and amazingly fun, this games a must own!

Mirror is not a perfect game but is a fun one with some issue the open world does lead to more freedom and more tension being the you never know if you make the jump and indoor section feel like a free runner puzzle more then anything while the story I would say is the low point of the it is still very enjoy game that may not be for everyone

I really like this game. Sometimes I don't like open world games because then the individual missions don't seem to be as tightly designed to show you new things as you progress through the game, but I don't find that to be a problem here. I know it's not everybody's favorite, but I actually like hunting around the world looking for the different collectibles. In the course of figuring out how to reach certain areas, you end up learning the space within the city very well, and it's a cool feeling of discovery. If you're not interested in 100%-ing the game, then you don't have to worry about stopping to look for stuff everywhere. However, I like the collectible hunt. It's not just a mundane scan of the environment. You have to examine the structures and figure out how to reach every nook and cranny, and that's where the fun lies. Overall, I think this is a good sequel. Because the mechanics are very similar to the original game (just a few new moves), it doesn't feel as fresh and innovative as the first game did. However, I would still say that there's really only one other game like it, which is the first Mirror's Edge. So this is still a fairly unique game. Some people have criticized the story. Yeah, it's a bit cliched, predictable, and it does take itself quite seriously, but within it's own universe, I still think it was interesting to follow along. If you like the game, there's a lot to do. However, if you're not interested in scouring the map or perfecting runs, you'll get less mileage out of the game. You'll still have a decent campaign though, on par with the length and quality of any good modern single player game these days.

Mirror's Edge is a very fun and enjoyable video game that I'm glad to have picked up. The game's overall combat has been been improved since the first Mirrors Edge came out as you now have more abilities and fighting tactics to use to take out your enemies. The game's central theme in terms of gameplay (like the original game) is based on parkour, but vastly improved and a lot more fluid and fun to play with. Though the gameplay was fun, the story is the game's weak point, at least in my perspective. It's just not super interesting and you could really care less about a lot of the characters you meet as the game progresses. Though as a reboot and a fan of the Mirror's Edge series, I do recommend you give this a try to see if you like it! You never know!

Game is fun, story is lacking, very pretty but sudden rendering, bright/glowing colors, and reflective surfaces cause a bit of nausea after about half an hour of playing.

I loved the first game very much. I was very excited to play this and it definitely is worth it. The whole game plays in an open world like Assasins Creed or GTA so the best thing is you can run around these huge area's and learn and practice your moves and try to get better times. Then go to the parts where the time trials are and try to get the best time. Graphics are amazing and as is the sound and gameplay. If you were a fan of the first, this game is a must have!

Good Game If You Like Running!

The controls take a little getting used to but become second nature since you will get a lot of practice jumping and running. Some of the moves are tricky but not impossible and there are power-ups to enhance your abilities. The fighting does have a learning curve but the power ups and Mirror's Edge web site does provide helpful hints for defeating the enemy. This is one of the few games available that does not involve the use of weapons for the main character. The game has a real good auto-save feature so you won't have to start all over again from the beginning of a long segment if you fall and don't recover. The game itself is a big improvement over the original and the city is quite large giving you lots to see. There's not a lot of NPC activity but it serves the game adequately. I did wish that there was more to do but overall the game was still fun to play. It's very similar to Dying Light in play mechanics but is not gory and the language is tame by comparison. Hopefully, the next one will be more expansive but this will do for now.

Open world Mirrors Edge = Most Good and Some Bad

The open world concept has finally come to Mirrors Edge. While it does add more replay value by giving the player the ability to perform numerous side missions part of me feels like a more focuses straight forward story would have been preferred. Still the ability to break off on your own path and just explore is nice as well. The combat still seems to be the most frustrating part of the gameplay. While I suppose it is necessary to add more challenge to the game it sometimes breaks the core gameplay mechanic of free running. It is improved from the first game though. Graphics and sound are top notch as well although some players may get tired of it's limited color pallete. I recommend this game to anybody who liked the first one though or for players who didn't that are looking for a first person experience that involves more than just shooting.

This is a good game, not the type of games I usually pick up but I was very intrigued. The open world of glass city is very beautiful, amazing graphics with a great storyline. I haven't finished the game as of yet but it has definitely became one of my faves in my collection

Falls short of the original. The sequel/prequel/remake/ whatever it is just lost something. The movement systems of the game save it from being bad. At a good price I recommend trying it out. It is fun just could have been way more.

I picked this one up on a whim, and it offers good gaming fun. It was a little difficult to get started and figure things out. It is not a game I'd go back to on a regular basis, but still worth it when I do.

I would highly recommend this game, but you have to be willing to learn some new techniques that may be different from other games. The game is a first person game that is all about free running across rooftops so if you have issues with motion avoid this. The gameplay is much like the first game, but with a very awesome mechanic of having an open world to explore as you please. The races are fun but very challenging.
