I wanted a laptop that would be light weight but powerful enough to perform work and quotidian tasks. then, I bought MSI GS 63 from Best Buy. This has been the best laptop I have owned so far. the case is beautiful made up of aluminium and is thin. The built in Steel series RGB keyboard is absolutely beautiful and fully customized and squeezing in the number pad and is a plus for me in a 15.4 form factor. Screen is standard 1080p, is best for Nvidia GTX 1060. I can project on a 4K monitor for better resolution if needed, but it does not affect frame rate when used above low settings. As a developer, it can used to code as well. The battery life is awesome for daily use. The laptop comes with 256 GB SSD. But the best part is it can be replaced one with higher storage capacity. Also, it has a 16 GB RAM and can be upgraded with 32 GB. There is no optical drive. I would love to have an optical drive but it is fine. Overall, the laptop is very powerful and beautiful. I feel at the given price I would take it any day.

I just bought this laptop and had no problems with it. It was on sale and it also has the latest processor. It is fast and plays most the games I want like DOTA 2 and PUBG. I've been using it for hours of playing and no problems with the heat. the frame is solid. design is sleek. good for work and gaming. the keyboard colors or good and vibrant. it doesn't have that bright irritating glow underneath. speakers are loud. fan noise is minimal. all in all it is a great laptop worth buying. If you want something that is kinda above your budget and this would be worth it.

I would strongly recommend this laptop for any gamer who takes portability and battery life into consideration. As a casual gamer I bought this laptop to be able to bring to school without looking like a fool carrying around a 10lb brick. The power adapter is very portable as well and is very thin and the length is a little less than 6 inches. The battery life is great, for casual use I am getting about 5 hours without making any adjustments to the settings yet. Playing any modern game on ultra settings is a breeze with good internet connection. The sound is extremely crisp with Dynaudio and I'm very impressed with how smooth the Steelseries keyboard is and how responsive and smooth it feels typing with it. The fan usually kicks on when I am updating the computer or playing a game but it is honestly the quietest fan I have heard and the computer doesn't get too hot either, I just wouldn't recommend keeping it on your lap either way. My only gripe is the sensitivity of the trackpad when you're typing can get annoying so I usually turn off the trackpad when I am typing up documents.

This gaming laptop is a beast! The specs are among the best with Nvidia GTX 1060 GPU, 16GB ram with intel core i7 8th gen, 1TB HDD, 256GB SSD. With all these specs the laptop weighs just 1.9-2 kgs, which is fantastic! The laptop isn’t too bulky too in terms or it’s dimension. Makes it compact for a 15 inch laptop and easy to carry. Graphic intensive run very smoothly. I got this to train deep learning models and I’ve have read great reviews about MSI GS63 ability to train with great speeds. I would definitely recommend to go with this one if you can stretch your budget a bit. It won’t disappoint!

When I was originally comparing laptops online, I did not know much about MSI laptops other than that they were higher end for the purpose of gaming. I myself am a casual gamer, but not enough to consider this higher-end laptop. So when I made up my mind what I wanted, I went into the store to pick it out. I saw this one on the shelf and looked at it for the fun of it, even though I wasn't planning on buying it. Everything about it begun to draw me in. Starting with the display, then the robust keyboard, and the superior build quality... I was in love with it. But it was out of my price range and I put it out of my mind and found the one I originally had in mind. It... disappointed, lets leave it at that. In my mind, I knew what I really wanted to walk out of the store with that day. And I did. And in the past 2 weeks that I have owned it, I have not been let down. Its super powerful, yet super quiet. I almost never hear the fan kick on although it really doesn't need to because it does an excellent job of redistributing the heat it generates. I have had no performance issues with it whatsoever. My one major complaint I'd have to say is I am not crazy about the track pad buttons which are integrated into said track pad, rather than just below it. I often have difficulties finding them as they are very precise in their location. They also don't register in the lower corners of the track pad which is where I have a habit of going to when I click on things. So I'll probably have to get a mouse to use when I'm working/playing on a flat surface-which is a minor annoyance that I can live with. My final thought would have to be, if this laptop is in your price range then buy it. It is a great product with no defects or issues that I have experienced.

I'm returning to school soon and wanted a laptop capable of video editing, and gaming, but wasn't a huge brick I'd have to carry around all day. In addition, I've recently bought an HTC Vive, and the portability of a gaming laptop would let me play in the living room, with more floor space. Initially I bought the MSI GS63VR, but it had issues with the Vive. I returned that an started looking into Razer Blades for awhile. Then I found this laptop, and I couldn't be happier. The Vive works great, it's sleek, thin, lightweight, powerful enough to play all my favorite games on, and very pretty to boot. It's the perfect blend that I'd been looking for, and while it's more than I was hoping to spend, it's really very competitive for other laptops I've looked at, at this tier.

I bought this laptop in June. I've been testing these months to see how it works before writing my review. I acquired it mainly because I work as a graphic animator and I needed a computer to take it with me and work anywhere, but also when I got home to connect it with an egpu and work in heavier projects. I have three other laptops especially for render, but the MSI gs63 Stealth 010 has become my personal laptop, because it is thinner and easier to transport. About performance For softwares that I normally use as After Effects and Premier Pro it works perfectly well. I can make my renderings very smooth and the GTX 1060 is a great help to render using the vram. For other things like 3D animation I use Cinema 4D and the laptop really responds to me quite well, BUT, I recommend adding an egpu to work more fluently. So far I recommend this laptop for any animation work or video editing. Always keeping in mind that to improve the performance it is always good to make some small upgrades to it.

This is a perfect gaming laptop. The specs are quality and the slim designed plus the light weight of the laptop makes it the best Laptop I've ever own. I would highly recommend this laptop to friend and family that require a good laptop for business, school and for heavy gaming experiences on the go...

I was going between this model and an ASUS and I am glad that I went with this one. I upgraded from a Lenovo that I purchased a few years ago now, and this one is so much better. This laptop is almost as fast as my desktop, which is also running the I7-8700K. I case is sturdy enough that I don't feel it will break or squish the inside. The screen is bright and viewable even with the sun behind me. The battery lasts about 3-4hrs depending on how easy I am with the battery usage. If you do anything that requires the use of the GTX 1060 card, you need to plug it in, as the battery doesn't last as long as your game will. Overall I really like it, and I am glad I finally bought a gaming laptop.

A lot of gaming laptops I have come across were bulky and heavy and that did not work out so well with me; however, the MSI GS63 Stealth is very light yet provides the overall power of the bulky gaming laptops even equal to a PC. Allowing more comfort when bringing it along, it is also convenient for me as a computer engineer student giving a work and play duality. The two hard drives it comes with is very convenient one the regular hard drive for the games and then anything important I know they are safe in the solid-state drive that comes in the laptop. It comes with a great amount of RAM already, so you can jump into gaming immediately, so you do not have to upgrade anything. Overall everywhere I go and whenever I take out my MSI people are impressed by the sleekness, the specifications, the design, and the colors from the SteelSeries keyboard. The greatest investment I made towards a computer and great investment for anyone in the future

I am an IT Field Tech an use this for work and home use. I am in the field 85% of the time and the GS63 has been great for my day to day work with the battery life lasting most of the day but using command prompt and putty doesn't take that much resources. Then when I get home I crank up the gaming on it. The 1060 works flawlessly for me. I play Destiny 2 and CSGO most of the time with high graphics turned on. Occasionally I will play some Warcraft with my kids. I am extremely happy with this laptop. I do love the fact that I can change the keyboard lighting to fit any game I play or just give it different colors to be different.

When I bought this, everything is great! But I noticed that the webcam's not working. I did returned it to BB and got a replacement. Later on I realized that all you need is to turn it on by Cmd FN + F6. So if you bought this, please read first the manual LOLS newbie here sorry! Some problems I also encountered are from my video editing and live streaming softwares are totally messing up with the NVIDIA graphics. So I adjusted the graphics from both NVIDIA Control Panel and from my software settings. Pretty much, everything works totally fine. Its a huge adjustment from being a Dell fanatic into MSI, but this time for me, MSI won the competition. Dell Alienwares are fine too, but I'm on a tight budget and thank God, timing is perfect cos its on sale two weeks ago! I'm using it for our ministry and Church purposes. Although not in a "gamer" perspective, but, I've installed two games: Riptide and Left4Dead, opened them together with my web browser playing Youtube, then opened my editor software, and live streaming software, and all of them works perfectly fine. Also, this one doesn't need laptop fan/cooler cos the cooler works good! The speaker sounds really good too! Overall I'm impressed and satisfied! But before you buy this, you need to watch some video reviews or read the manual. Some settings or features gets better and you'll appreciate them more once you get used to it. One last thing, if you get irritated on the keyboard lights, you can adjust them on the SteelSeries Engine 3. Hope this review helps you decide! From a non-gamer perspective, this laptop is ready for future and I think will still survive in few more years, depending on the demand of a user or, but for me, it has passed all my expectations for having a good laptop for 4K HD video/photo editing and live streaming.

Have been using this laptop for a few hours now and i have to say this is the best laptop I've used so far. Multi tasking runs very smooth and video streaming is also very fast. with GTX 1060, you can run any games at Ultra or High quality and get a decent fps. last but not the least, its the lightest gaming laptop that i have used.

When i first reviewed this product i was skeptical because i wanted a great laptop and i got to say this laptop is so smooth and fast and easy to game on.. not to mention slim.. it was a great buy and i will be buying my next one with msi for sure :)

I just unboxed the msi stealth and everything is up and running. For me light gaming but a lot of video editing. The fans are noticable let's just say. The computing power is amazing, superfast. Great having the ssd and the spinning drive combo. A little light on memory. The graphics card is pretty good. Great having the backlit keys.What can I say no complaints. I've only had it a day so will update after it's been used a month or so.

When I received this package, I found it surprisingly light, I even wonder if it's really a laptop. It's great to have a portable computer that has excellent performence. Besides, the battery mode could be changed any time, so there's no need to worry about the noise, since the laptop can be very quiet as long as you turn on the eco mode. The only thing that not satisfy me is the apperance, the overall apperance is rather ordinary, and the there are many lables being attached to the keyboard panel are very difficult to be removed.

I had never heard of MSI laptops before. I knew about their other products (mainly the computer components) and I knew a little about their quality. I went to Best Buy and got to take a look at this computer and was surprised by the weight (super light for a gaming laptop) and the price. I usually buy ASUS laptops and was about to get another one until I looked at this MSI model. The price difference was negligible and for a little more cash I could get a lighter, faster, and highly reviewed laptop from MSI. So far I have had no issue playing my games or running any type of office program for my school work. I would definitely recommend looking into this laptop if you can spare a little extra cash over the other brands.

Overall the laptop is great. Fabulous graphics, the ability to run 2 games at the same time blows my mind. However, I find that gaming systems are fragile...VERY fragile. MSI customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I've never had such an issue trying to get a laptop fixed as I've had with MSI. It's a total pain to even get someone to speak with you as they always push you to using the website versus a CSR walking you through the steps to send an item in for repair! For those of us who are technologically challenged, it pays to have techs/CSRs who are willing to spend a bit of their time to help their customers. Technically, I'd give the product a solid 8. CSR wise, I'd give the company a 5. The product does exactly what it says it will do, however, the overall build needs a bit more attention. The monitors are surprisingly fragile and are not covered in the factory warranty. This is an additional cost, should you need to replace or repair it. In all, my satisfaction with the product lacks...not because of the product itself but due to the CSR portion and the lack of warranty coverages in the product. God help you if you need to repair something, the process to send in an item is a nightmare.

Unbelievable graphics, everything is super smooth. Love the Fancy LED keyboard. Run most of the high-resolution game at extra high setting, such as Call of Duty, Rainbow 6, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed, and etc.

Best for the price and specs are decent for its value also it is very slim and portable which is a big plus. I also recommend this laptop to a friend because I enjoy using it for gaming and school which the battery can last you for a while.
