Great aesthetics, fits perfectly in my chasse, compatible with all my parts I purchased! It looks amazing in my computer and I am super happy I got this. I've always liked MSI products when I'd search for computers in the past. I love how many ports it has too. Bios is fairly easy to do but went a little wonky for me so I had to go into best buy for some assistance and it worked :)

    Great board, despite being overpriced

I'm running the board with a 7700X and two 16GB sticks of G.Skill 6000 MHz CL30 and so far the board has been great. The board has an excellent set of features, tons of I/O, USB/Fan/ARGB headers, a 7 segment LED debuigging display (which is a must have for me), and loads of M.2 slots. I had heard that memory training on AM5 boards could take 10+ minutes on first boot, but the board booted up in about 30 seconds the first boot. boot times since then are longer than with my old AM4 board, but aren't anything crazy. After updating the board to the latest bios from April 14, it boots in about 15 seconds or so. I only have 2 complaints, and they aren't about the board itself. The board doesn't come with a paper manual. I know most companies just put pdf's on their website, but if you're having motherboard problems you may not be able to access online manuals, so having a paper manual is important. With such a high price board there is no reason to save pennies by not including a manual. The digital manual on MSI's website is also terrible. If you're a first time pc builder, you are going to have a rough time with the manual. Lacks a lot of crucial details, makes no mention of all kiinds of important things, and is filled with poor grammar and broken english. My other complaint is minor, the bios is kind of confusing. It took me a bit to figure out how to make it boot from a USB to install windows, and also took some time to figure out how to enable things like EXPO and PBO. Advanced mode should really just display better menus that are clear where every option is located in the bios, but the advanced mode screen looks a whole lot like EZ mode. Lots of menus within menus within menus with menus resulting in a labyrinth to try to find the setting your looking for. I ended up using the search function to find settings, which is a bad habbit since you might not see all available settings for a particular feature. This is my first MSI motherboard though and I'm not used to their BIOS (I'm used to ASUS), so I imagine I'll get used to it and it will be fine. There were some settings like ReBAR and PBO enabled by default, which you don't normally see enabled by default, since they can cause problems sometimes. Overall, I'm really happy with this board. It was extremely overpriced (I would expect a board with these features to be more around $300-350, not $500), but it's a good board. The manual was terrible, but I didn't really need it, and the bios is a little awkward, but will be fine once I get totally familiar with it.

Worked great right out of the box. Bios update was quick and painless. Very few boards are available now that aren’t covered with RGB. This is really low key black with the MSI logo being the only RGB present. Great cooling for VRM and M.2 drives.

I have had this MB for 3 months now. It is paired with an AMD 7800x3d and a pair of 16GB CL30 6000mhz EXPO ram, 6000 being the sweet spot for this gen of AM5 cpu. I have AIO water and an 850W PS. I have found the MB to be stable and performant. I have run 16+ continuous hours of memtest (I always make sure memtest overnight clean before moving forward with build), done countless cpu and gpu stress tests including 24 hours of prime while working, a lot of gaming, and run 4 simultaneous R processes over night more than once, and run a Rift with its wonky USB devices with no problem. I have had the computer lock up twice during gaming (Once in Elden Ring, one other time) in the last three months which I consider quite good given that I run the thing 24/7. Benchmarks are consistent with similar spec systems. I purchased this for a few reasons: - full concurrent support for 24 PCIE 5 lanes: 2x PCIE 5, 2x PCIE4 through chipset. - 6x SATA, I actually have a pile of HDD from a NAS that died. - Full set of audio out (5.1 plus aux etc concurrently supported) - Realtek LAN (Intel chip LAN bug caused me to avoid some options) - Good selection of USB-C and USB 3x ports - Cool dragon RGB and Boot up logo. The whole thing looks good without looking gaudy. Got to have something to see through that tempered glass Some down sides: - Bios is functional but just weird to navigate. There is no bios manual to get explanations beyond what is offered through the interface. Other brands have had better bios experiences. - Not the cheapest thing out there - PCIE 4 M.2 is directly under the video card. When I installed the 4080S FE the metal shroud is just above the M.2 Heat sink. Temps rose a bit on the drives but so far well within operating temp. PCIE 5 m.2 are to the right of the slot 1 and avoid this. - Why oh Why do the SATA ports have to be directly under the gpu? - Slow boot (1-2 min). An issue with all DDR5 MB due to memory provisioning but somewhat more so with this one. I have enabled Memory Context Restore which helped but it just slow. Some people have had stability issues with this MB. Your mileage may vary. I suspect they may actually have memory issues but it could just be I got a good sample or the cool winter temps (My room has been in the low 60s). I am using the 7D70v1C 11/29/23 bios which was the last bios rev to provide an update or fix relevant to my hardware. I flash installed it before putting the MB into the system. It encompasses all the recent AMD security updates. I have used it with both a Nvidia 2080 and more recently 4080S. Buy from a retailer with a good return policy. I am very happy with the performance and features of this MB. Having a fully enabled AM5 experience is great. I recommend this MB with the caveat that you will want to make sure you have return options as with any expensive component in a new build.

    Great Find and High quality

I purchased this for my first Build, and it blew me away . High quality great recovery options ( Flash bios and Cmos buttons.) great thermal protections ( for SSD's and other internal components). BIOS is Very Friendly to new users ( EZ mode Option on the middle top portion of the prompting) This Mother Board Supports AMD Expo Profiles and my DDR5 6000+mhz memory. to which the CMOS button came in handy to when i bricked my DDR5 by messing with my Bios ( No display/Response/or keyboard input) this was My Mistake and this Mother Board HELPED me out with having that CMOS Button ; other wise i would have needed to remove my graphics card to remove the little battery on it; which gave me access to bios to restore to default settings. Luckily enough i now have a nice Monitor to go with it. One thing i do regret is that i wished i looked into Mini ITX Boards then. One doesn't need so much space for so much Storage slots Unless you're a developer or want to hoard the games you won't event play.

Great Features, Easy Installation, Boots Quickly

Was initially skeptical to purchase after reading other reviews, but I've been enjoying this product a lot. This motherboard looks clean and is fitted with great heatsinks, a code/ temperature reader, various ports, and a cool dragon to top it off. Upgraded from a B650 Tomahawk, and the X670E has been amazing. Takes about 15 seconds to boot with XMP enabled. BIOS is similar to other MSI AM5 boards, with very simple navigation and ability to switch between "EZ" mode and advanced mode. For the price, I do wish there was a GPU release button. The magnetic wifi antennae and 6 SATA ports are really nice. Two PCIe slots with "armor" are also a cool touch. Only had a small issue installing an NVME with a built-in heatsink. The thermal pad was slightly too tall, which did not allow the clip to lock the drive; some simple improvising took care of this. Other than that, installation was very easy. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. It's a good motherboard.

I got this MOBA because I had an MSi 4070 ti, I thought it would be cool to match them up. but I've had nothing but issues with this thing. it will only boot every other 2nd time, fan controls don't work at all. It's a clean install too. I swapped out to a different MOBA and it worked fine, I plan to return this later today. tho I won't get another msi moba the GPU has been great!

Don't forget to update your BIOS if you're going to be using a 9000 series CPU. It will not post and give error codes unless you update the BIOS. Currently using this motherboard with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D.

I prefer MSI Motherboards over other brands so I chose the x670e Carbon Wifi and don't regret it. Currently using it with the 7800X3D and it is working great with no issues. The board looks premium and has a tasteful amount of RGB. The X670E has lots of great features including post code debug LED, rear clear CMOS and Bios flashback buttons, and plenty of m.2 storage. I do wish it had a quick release for the GPU like some other brands have so hoping they include that on the next generation of motherboards.

This board works great. I am using all 4 ram slots with corsair dominator 6400 mhz CL38. I have no issues with my 7950x3d and rtx 4090FE. I did however had to tune down the ram to 6000mhz CL36 for everything to work. Make sure the RAM you use is on the MSI compatibility list for this board or you might have headaches.

Overall this should, in theory, be an excellent AM5 motherboard for both current and future AMD processors. It represents good value for a high end AM5 board. The build quality and features it offers are solid and the included RGB touches add a nice aesthetic. However, based on my experience I can not recommend this motherboard. Almost immediately upon utilizing this board I had issues. Often times the board would not boot properly and would get stuck in a post code loop between error codes 00 and 15. I managed to get it to post, once or twice, but upon reboot it would get stuck in the same sequence. I tried multiple different kits of ram, different cpus, a clean windows install, clearing the cmos and flashing the bios. I know the problem lies with the motherboard as all of the hardware I tried with this board I've tested on another system to make sure they worked properly. After all of that, and things still not working I RMA'ed the board to MSI to get it fixed. That process took over a month and when I received the board back it still had the same issues as before. Frustrated doesn't begin to cover how I felt at that point. I tried all of the same things I had done previously, before the first RMA, to get the board working properly to no avail. It is now off in the mail for a second RMA and I don't have any confidence that it will be returned fixed and that I'm going to have to eat the cost of this board. Unfortunately, as I'm outside of the return window, all I can do is RMA it again and hope it will be fixed or replaced this time. Additionally, I've read other stories people have posted about MSI's current offerings of AM5 motherboards and how they've had similar issues to my own. I wish I had checked up on these prior, but up until this point I'd pretty much exclusively used MSI motherboards for my PC builds, going all the way back to the days of AMD FX cpus. However, that will no longer be the case as this experience has soured me on MSI motherboards. Lastly, please take this review for what it is, a single person's experience. I've read plenty of other reviews about how good this motherboard is and I'm sure they aren't wrong. It seems like I got unlucky and received a bad/buggy one. I have no doubt that in ideal circumstances these motherboards are excellent and will work just fine, but based on my experience I can't recommend this product.

Great AM5 motherboard. I got this Motherboard last year. It has been amazing. Great overclocking capabilities and great documentation. I don't like that the gpu pci is one slot down as most other motherboards, but it is not bad. All NVME have the easy clip thing. The main NVME you can removed without using a screwdriver. Very nice motherboard.

This motherboard has been a consistently frustrating experience. I updated the BIOS and confirmed that all hardware components were compatible prior to installation. However, from the moment I built my system, issues began to appear. The yellow DRAM light would turn on, Windows would fail to restart properly, and eventually the motherboard stopped functioning. It will not even load into bios now. I attempted multiple troubleshooting steps, including testing with different RAM and reseating the CPU, but none were successful. Extremely frustrated, I replaced the board with a different brand using the exact same components, and the system booted without any issues. This motherboard cost me nearly two months of troubleshooting and instability. At this point, I’m unsure if pursuing the RMA process is worth the additional time, effort, and mental drain. I'm just tired of dealing with it and my new board works perfectly.
