I use to rock a gigabyte mobo but everyone I've had always had some sort of defect with the board from a short or a header not working. This board blows it away. I definitely love the easy Bios settings easy to navigate. And it gives you a advanced bios to, to do even more in depth customization and overclocking abilities. It has very nice mystic light options. The board has a nice red glow lighting and red lettering light up which you can customize from solid to pulse to flickering or even sync up to your game with mystic lighting.
Definitely pairs up with a i5 8600k and gives it full potential of the cpu. The support for this mobo is excellent they have a nice dragon app that keeps everything updated along with bios firmware.

This board is very stable and easy to use... very good in handling i9-9900K and did 5.3GHz stable. Also very affordable for the performance you get.

I wish there were separate reviews for the product and one for the Best Buy experience. Which is usually fine mind you. However I purchased this motherboard brand new on the Best Buy website for 1hr curbside pickup because I needed it for a system that needed done that day. The whole buying experience was great! However when I got home I noticed some damage to the motherboard box. No big deal I see that all the time from Newegg, Amazon, etc. So I opened the board up and as usual examined it. First I noticed there was some thermal paste on the CPU socket, then a few scratches near the top PCIe slot as if someone tried seating a GPU and missed the slot, then a few of the mounting holes were scuffed up as if the motherboard was mounted in a case and tightened down. It was only the outer corners so they must have just test fitted it in their case. My point is I purchased a “Brand New” motherboard not an open box or returned or otherwise USED motherboard. However I was in a pinch and the system needed to go that day and it was the only one they had in stock. Fortunately it worked and everything tested fine BUT that’s not really the point. The point is I don’t think it’s right to take in a return and resell that item as new even if whoever checks the return thinks it looks like new. It should have been sold as open box/returned/refurbished, etc. anything else but NEW. Because it certainly was not new!!!

B350M Bazooka was pretty decent and came with the pre-built. This was a part of a conversion to Intel with the i7 9700K and it felt premium from the moment I unboxed it.

Its a good board, but MSI BIOs is GARBAGE! Not to mention the lack of connections for fans just made it a return for me. Great board for moderate to beginners builds but nothing more then that. Also a pain trying to overclock.

You have to use the Dragon Center software which is a dumpster fire. Lights will not turn off and stay on red. NEVER BUY MSI. Go with ASUS instead. At least their software works.

Using it with i5 9600k and so far my new build is running like butter, I have not overclocked yet cause I don’t see the need now. the lights are minimal but I kind of like it subtle and not like a Christmas tree. Over all I’m extremely happy.

At a price tag of just 149.99, the MSI MAG Z390 GAMING PLUS motherboard is one of the best price to performance full ATX motherboard available for the Intel’s latest 9th generation gaming system build. MSI MAG Z390 GAMING PLUS motherboard have nice Red/Black Theme and offers everything needed for a good gaming PC as well as have decent Overclocking potential,

After broken pins on my old Gigabyte b360m ds3h, I was looking for a quick replacement at an affordable price. My search led me to my local best buy where I was at first skeptical about my purchase of this motherboard. After installing all the hardware/software, I am pleasantly surprised. :D I was so used to gigabyte's utilities that I was nervous about the switch. Come to find out, Dragon Center (MSI's own OC'ing utility) is as good or better than that of Gigabyte. I love the black and red color theme, and I love that MSI gives back to the customer. Thanks for a great Motherboard! I will be a returning customer.

Finally got to build my first PC this year and decided to use this motherboard. Actually super great, didn't have any problems figuring out where to plug in certain cables, and the manual was helpful as well. As soon as I turned it on everything worked as planned, which I was kinda shocked about, being a noob and all. I also have quit a lot of fans, and this motherboard delivered in spaces to fit those cords as well. The red LED light on the side also makes my case look pretty cool, since I went for a red LED theme. Overall great motherboard, super happy I purchased it in store since I wanted instant gratification. Thanks MSI! :)

I purchased this to pair with an I-5 8400 processor, and a Radeon 580. I was skeptical because I have only ever purchased ASUS products (since the late nineties). But i bought this board after having an ASUS board fail.
It was super easy to build using a mid tower case.
There are ample fan headers and a pump header along with RGB headers.
The performance of the games I play has increased so much that they almost feel like a new game after upgrading to this board i wonder why i waited so long.
I have a glass sided PC case, this MB looks awesome with the LEDS built onto the board and added RGB strips.
Mystic Lights is a great feature!
Do not hesitate to get this board, it is a great product!

Decided to go ahead and build my own PC for gaming instead of buying a prebuilt or having someone else do it, which I was also trying to do it on a budget. I did a bunch of research and asked friends that have built PCs in the past and I ended up with this board. I'm really happy with my decision so far, was easy to work with, the software that it comes with is nice, I didn't really care that the board didn't have a million rgb lights on it, but it does come with some red accent lights(nothing crazy and they're not that bright) and also has pins for rgb case lighting. If you're looking to build a pc on a budget I would definitely recommend this board.

Bought this and an i5 9600k to build a pc cable of hitting 5 GHZ while maintaining a stable overclock. Managed to push it to 5.2 GHZ and maintain a stable overclock. MSI has a pretty great video on how to get these settings established in the bios as well. Supports crossfire, overlooking ram, 2 graphics cards, 2 Spots for m2 ssd. Came with all the hardware needed to install it to my PC case and also came with some SATA cables as well. Overall really great board for the money back when 9th gen intel was king.

Let's see, im running an i9-9900k, PNY RTX 3080, 32gb trident z neo 3600mhz cl16 ram, 4 case fans and a cooler master aio and this board handles everything better than I could hope and for its price point its very impressive! There is no on-board rgb control which could be a turnoff for some people, but based off actual hardware usage and configuration, its a fantastic board for the price!

I was in the middle of a build when I realized I had an issue with another motherboard from a different manufacture, so I checked online and saw that my local Best Buy had this MSI-MPG Z390 that did everything I needed. Everything worked as needed and the overclocking functions are simple for even a novice. Great value board here.
