This is really a great product. Easy to install and it’s really affective. I was having trouble having wifi but now I am getting full signal and speed is good. I thought I have to put multiple in a 2700 sq feet house but it extends beyond it. Getting good signal in backyard also. I would definitely recommend this product.

I finally figured out how to make this work without having to call Netgear. Now the wifi works in the back yard where before I had to use cellular data. I no longer get a spinning globe when streaming the smart tv or a message saying my broadband is too slow.. Well worth it.

As an IT professional, I can say Netgear has been a respected brand when we talk about networking devices. Unfortunately this time I have to say this is NOT a good device. If you are looking to expand your signal, let’s say to your office room because you want to keep your connection strength, this will NOT do the job. It will give you signal yes, but your Download Speed and Upload Speed will be REALLY AFFECTED, I have Frontier FIOS, compare the pictures below. It will reduce your internet speed when you are connected to this device in more than 50%. So if you are looking just to have signal and some connectivity that’s fine, but if you already have signal but looking to keep your ISP connectivity metrics to have a strength convection to work at your home office, this is not what you need. Is really disappointing because after try a few devices I though Netgear will make the difference, saying up to 300mb/s but it doesn’t go even up to 50mb/s.

My router is down a long hall from the living room. I was having problems getting a consistantng signal and Netflix kept buffering. I installed the Wi-Fi extender and I now have the maximum signal strength in the living room and it allows us to stream Netflix with out buffering.

I have a" man cave/office" in my unattached garage about 100 feet away from my cable company supplied Wi-Fi modem. It actually was able to reach this but the signal without the extender but it was weak and often dropped the connection or slow speed. I installed this NETGEAR N300 about 50 feet away. I now get great connectivity for my laptop. The initial setup is to: - Plug the Range Extender into an outlet (I put them side-by-side) very close to the modem. You DO NOT use an Ethernet cord to set this extender up. - Wait for the solid green LED power light of the extender. - Push the WPS button on the extender and another LED light will blink. - Push the WPS button on you old Modem and watch them connect. I had to look for the WPS button on the old modem because it not obvious but it does exist. - Once the Router LED light on the Extender is solid green, unplug the extender and move it into an area that already can receive some signal, (I placed the Extender 1/2 way between my office and the old modem) as it cannot "extend" what it cannot detect! - Select the new Network name it has created (it will be your old network name with an -EXT at the end) - Use the password you use on your existing Wi-Fi system and you are done!

It works, but is a little slow. What's disappoint is that I thought it would literally be an extension of my existing Wifi-- instead, it creates a new Wifi login. For example, I thought it would simply extend the range of "homewifi", but instead, it creates a new wifi network-- "homewifi-EXT". This means that if I'm a little out of range of my main wifi, I have to change connections. And smart house connections are supposed to all be on the same network, so this creates issues with that tool.

Been using for over a month to throw signal to my mother's house next door. She has been streaming with no problems. Automatic setup didn't want to work but the built in Web server style setup was so easy it might as well been automatic. I would buy again.

Allows us to now plug in our blue ray to stream netflix and also seems to increase our Wi-Fi signal in our kitchen. Set up was pretty easy. Took a couple tries and I was getting a little concerned but then it took and has been working as hoped ever since

First of all, shipping was super quick! 5 stars to that! The extender is wonderful! My house gets horrible wifi reception downstairs. Now with this new wifi ext, I get full bars. Now I can stream movies onto my TV and surf the web and surf the web on my tablet. I liked it so much that my sister also got it for her house. Her wifi connection was even worse! My niece was only able to surf the web in the corner right next to her door. Now she can stream and surf the web from the comfort of her bed.

our wifi has dead spot on our master bedroom and rest of the house has great wifi. We watch chromecast on our master bedroom and we wanted fix the wifi problem fast. people at the best buy didn't recommended this product, they told me this thing don't work and i need to buy expensive equipments. they all sounded little aggressive on one product from google which was about $100 and I didn't wanted to spend that much money. I looked around online and read reviews on this product and decided give it a try. the installation was easy and works very good. don't listen and buy all the routers and modems if you have just one dead spot in your house

Needed an Ethernet connection at a location that would be very difficult to hard wire. This product fit the ticket - easy to connect to my wireless router, plugged in the Ethernet cable and worked the first time. High marks for simplicity of installation and works as it should.

Works good in terms of stability. The signal is strong and extending to the area well enough. But I can notice the speed slowing down with WIFI connection, but cable connection is as fast as usual. I'm using internet lightly, so a 20% to 30% slow down is not a deal breaker. It runs a little warmer than I expected, so let's see how long it can last.

I live in a 2 story house and have good signal until you take into account the ductwork running through the center of the house. It took some doing putting the unit into operation and a little time to find the best placement for it. Overall it's working fine.
