This product exceeded my expectations.
When my old extender died out I began doing research to help me decide which item was best for me.
First, the coverage is massive. I no longer have any dead spots in my house regardless of where I go.
Second, I can use the same log in and password from my original modem. It makes it very easy to remember.
Third, it's not an eye sore. It's not plugged and hanging off the wall. I put it in the center of my house next to cable box and sometimes forget that it's there.
I would highly recommend this product if you want to have an easy installation, hassle free experience, and extended coverage of internet in your place.

I had to extend my WiFi from my living room out to my garage and I saw this at a local BestBuy and bought it on a whim. Turns out it's actually pretty good.
The setup is weird though, having to count on the timing of WPS setup, it never really felt like I was doing it right, and often it seems like it takes forever to get feedback that I did do it right.
And since it extends my WiFi, sometimes it feels like I am not even connected to it, but after deeper analysis, I am connected. I guess it does its job well as it makes the extension seamless. My Garage, which originally could only get (maybe) one bar of WiFi now gets all the bars.
I would consider this too much on the pricey side, but it works, and I am happy.
To make this better I bought a simple bracket and mounted it up on the wall, it looks pretty nice up there.

We don't live in a big house, but from the place where we're obliged to place the router we use to the location of our primary living space and smart TV seems like 'a bridge too far' especially for streaming. With this unit, the frequent freezes and dropped connections are a thing of the past. This unit using just its 2.4 GHz band improved reception and viewing markedly! Soon I will upgrade my 3-year old router to one that utilizes the second (5 GHz) frequency. We are an Apple household.

This router is being used in a small business with around 10 users. All are using wireless access and need consistent speed performance. I think this router will deliver. My issue is regarding remote access. It appears that's only available through Linksys' "SmartWifi" program. This just adds a layer of difficulty. Would much rather use dyndns service. For this reason, I would not recommend to a friend.

We were having WIFI drop off issues at one end of the house. We had installed a wifi repeater but with so many wifi connected devices in the house it was not adequate. I installed this as a WIFI Access Point with the same SSID (wifi network name) as our primary router and our drop off issues have ceased and slow network response times have improved greatly.

I was hoping this WiFi booster was going to give me a much better connection but now it’s still weak but every 10 min or so it disconnects and I have to restart everything. Idk if I’m doing something wrong but the instructions seemed pretty straight forward and i followed them. I’m not liking this product at all and I’m thinking about returning it, I only bought it because I read all the other good reviews but this thing is lowkey garbage for the price. Wouldn’t recommend at the moment.

Two purchased, 1st access point , 2nd extender

I used one ex7000 as an access point plugged into my vpn hardwired router to give me wifi since the router wasn't wireless to begin with.
I set the second ex7000 about 85 feet away in another building to be used as an "extender'. which meant the wifi signal from the 1st access point ex7000 had to go through one interior wall and two insulated exterior walls (including one being brick) to get to the second ex7000 used as an extender 85-90 ft away.
It works great, with a 195mbps signal strength getting to the extender, from an available 250 mbps available entering the 1st ex7000 used as an access point. I found that the best set up was to select just the transmission on 2.4 ghz and deselecting the use of the 5ghz on the ex7000 access point. I think shutting down the 5 ghz transmission helped push the 2.4 ghz better. Not sure if it was because the power in the ex7000 access point was more fully applied to the 2.4ghz by deselecting the transmission of the 5ghz, or if somehow the 5ghz signal disrupted the 2.4ghz coming out at the same time was the issue but I found setting the access point to just send out 2.4 ghz gave the set up a better extension.
The ex7000 used as an extender 85 ft away meanwhile, was set to recieve at 2.4 ghz and push at 5ghz locally. That way the dual band ability of the ex7000 the could be used more efficiently with the 2.4GHZ at the extender used to "suck in" the 2.4ghz signal being pushed across the distance by the access point which was set soley at 2.4ghz.
Very fast streaming available this way in the second building. The only real issue I had was that even though I manually set up the the two ex7000's to work this way, I also had to use the wps buttons on the two of them to get them to work together properly. I also plugged both ex7000s into small battery backup supplies to keep them connected during momentary power interruptions that I found had me having to redo the programming and wps sync twice before, which is a pain worth avoiding if it happens frequently enough. The signal stays stable, although after 5 weeks of stable operation I found simply remotely restarting the extender using the graphic user interface (DON'T just unplug the extender!)solved a weird problem where two out of four remote devices were connecting to wifi but were not getting internet service.
Altogether I am amazed at the signal strength over distance that these two ex7000s give with this setup.
I gave this review for those with limited knowledge like myself, that might use them this way, and find a couple of problems like I did.

I purchased this to provide improve the reach of my wireless modem. Setup was dead simple. It's run for months now and hasn't needed to be reset once. Since I can connect it to any ethernet jack, I was able to locate it right in the middle of my house. No dead spots. Strong coverage throughout my 3000 sq ft, two-story house plus basement. I couldn't be happier.

I had to replaced a small TP Link wifi extender because it was not power enough to extend my wifi on the second floor and handle the ethernet connection to my xbox.
After looking for the best option, reading reviews everywhere, I decided to give this netgear extender a go... AND I AM PLEASED!
— Easy to install and manage.
— Signal is strong.
— I tested both Frequencies 2.4 and 5ghz from the second floor and it runs amazing.
Best thing: I had my xbox DMZ in my router when I had it in the first floor. Now, I have my xbox conencted to the extender in the second floor through ethernet connection and my DMZ is working! I couldn’t do that for anlong time with extenders!
Anyways, This is a great extender for a great price.

This WiFi mesh extender works great I bought to boost a signal to a second story in a guest house that is separate from the main house where the modem is located and it works flawlessly. It is very easy to setup and manage if you turn off the 5g signal I saw an improved boost in speed as well. I definitely recommend and the price is very reasonable when compared to other models that offer the same features. The only problem is the app to monitor the network is not compatible for iOS system but it is an easy discrepancy to look past given its performance. There is still a way to access and monitor the system directly online Instead using the app.

Super Booster

I've tried other booster/extenders before, and most had mediocre power and coverage.
Some refused to recognize my network, and would not work at all.
They would also constantly go offline, and have to be reset.
I had my doubts at first about the Nighthawk AC1900, as it was the most expensive booster I've purchased so far.
I was able to set it up in less than 5 minutes, using my laptop.
I was blown away by the performance of the Nighthawk!
I now get 4-5 bars of signal everywhere on my second floor.
Before I would get 5 bars at one end of the floor, and a dismal 1 bar at the other end near my office room.
I get a full 5 bars throughout most of my first floor as well.
And the speed on both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz is faster than any extender I've used before.
Since setting it up, it has never gone offline even once.
Performance is rock solid and reliable 24 hours a day.
This is a serious booster/extender, unlike the toys that sell for under $100.
No more cheap extenders for me, they just don't cut it.
Spend the money and get this extender, it's worth every dollar!

Provides Great WIFI for UVERSE or VERIZON

So, prior to last year, I have always had cable for my internet. The nice thing about cable was that I could purchase my own cable modem and router. I hated renting and I hated the poor performance I received whenever I tried to use the stock routers that come from the cable company.
Unfortunately, purchasing my own modem / router was not an option for UVERSE or FIOS. Thankfully, this extender allows me to turn off the built-in wifi on the AT&T router and it gives me much more stable performance. On the stock AT&T router, my wifi devices were disconnecting every few hours and the range barely covered my home. This little extender fixes both of those problems.
And, should I switch back to cable internet in the future, this Extender makes for a great wifi hotspot. It helps ensure there are no gaps in the wifi coverage in the home.
I tried other devices from Linksys and TP-Link, but I just didn't like them as much. This extender has great coverage with excellent speeds.
An easy recommendation.

Best router for large homes

I have installed six of these routers in client homes and one in a warehouse space for a business client. The coverage is great, and in spaces where its signal doesn't reach, the AC1200 Netgear range extender works perfectly well with it (just make sure you have the latest and greatest firmware installed in the router).
Installation is easy thanks to Netgear's configuration wizard, and working through the router's menu when I need to is fairly simple. It comes with multiple networks built in, including a Guest net that you can set up so that your kids' friends or your clients or visitors can have access at high speeds without accessing your personal/business networks.
I haven't had to take any of them down for any reason at this point.
I still use Netgear's less powerful N-series routers when I don't need that much power, but as ISP speeds continue to grow, the throughput of the Nighthawk will prove to be useful for a long time.

The net gear nighthawk has been so far the best Wi-Fi extension I bought it about 6 months ago and I have not yet ran into any problems the rang on the adapter reaches far and still give a strong connection from the distance I’m from the router I’m about 30 feet away from the router and connecting via Ethernet from close with the adapter the set up of it is simple to use too I highly recommend this item
