This Orbi combo kit is a pretty good performer. Excellent for streaming and fast download speeds. Great for gaming too. Being able to run a wire to your device from the satellite orbis is an excellent feature, as it really helps gaming performance! Only reason I gave it four stars is because you have to find a sweet spot for the satellite orbis or else they might have problems staying connected to the main router Orbi, and that may not be in a location that you prefer in that room. But find that sweet spot and it won't disappoint. Parental control, phone app, and guest network features are really great to have!

I spent a week researching mesh WiFi and reading every article I could find. Finally narrowed it down to the Orbi and the Google. I chose the Orbi for its dedicated tri-band. Installed it today and I’m very happy with the result. I had an Asus router that performed great until a month ago. Everything got super slow. But with this upgrade, I’ve got speed to burn. I’ve attached a photo and you can see where the install took place. From 25mbps to 180... Save yourself some time and head scratching and buy the Orbi

Kept telling me I had to set-up my system, even though I did it and it said complete. Then, it kept dropping the internet on EVERY CHANGE I MADE. NEVER had this experience with my Linksys. Called tech support, they took my telephone number, incase we got dropped. The line dropped and instead of calling me back, they closed the trouble ticket....TWICE. Brand new, out of the box and HORRIBLE experience with the reliability of the product and HORRIBLE customer support. Taking this back and buying a Linksys, it will be well worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I consider myself a WIFI expert and usually opt for the biggest and most expensive routers until my friend Michael at our local Best Buy store told me about Orbi and that he had set it up in his house. It literally took me 20-30 minutes to completely install and I kept my WIFI ID and password the same so I didn't have to change or reconnect any of our devices. We live in a single level 3,800 sq ft house and we now have full bars of WIFI throughout the entire house. Our security cameras work better and we get WIFI about 200-ft outside of the house. I could not be more happy and one key is to download the Orbi application before install. This is sooooo much better than extenders or line extenders. We also had a PC desktop which we were going to have to buy a WIFI antenna for the MOB and then suffer the extender signal degradation but we were able to put one of the satellites in that room and hardwire it directly. After a speed test we are getting a solid 115Mbs which is awesome! This system also handles 5 iPhone's, 4 laptops, 10 WIFI security cameras, 2 Xbox's, and our old $450 dollar router barely handled it. Cannot recommend this enough and this truly has revolutionized WIFI in our home!!!!

This system is fantastic and a really excellent bargain when compared to similar offerings from Linksys, Ubiquiti, etc. for a mesh system. The setup process was a little frustrating (even as a fairly technical user) because it kept failing to detect that I was on the ORBI WiFi, and then for whatever reason the satellites would not sync. I went ahead and reset and started completely over and then everything went flawlessly. I was running Ubiquiti UAP-AC-PRO APs for about a year prior, and overall it was pretty good. After moving to a new (larger by about 1,000 sq. ft.) home, I kept having connections drop no matter how close I was to the AP. I had heard good things about the Orbi from co-workers/friends and with it on sale gave it a shot - I am super pleased with the coverage and speed. I have a 200/10 Cable internet connection, and anywhere across our 2,800 sq. ft. home I now get the full speeds everywhere! No more connection dropping, way more reliable speeds, and it's been relatively no fuss. I will say I have had some issues with trying to use CloudFlare or Google DNS, but that could be regional, as well since I was using them prior to moving to Boise, and to me it is not worth nitpicking if my ISP's DNS works faster. Overall a really solid product and does what it says it will - wired speeds off the satellites is stellar, etc. Definitely recommend trying, especially before sinking money in a more expensive mesh system.

I have this system 4 stars because I had issues when setting up. I followed the directions exactly but it wouldn’t connect. I had to set up the system multiple times and reboot the modem several times as well before it finally stuck. During setup I tried contacting customer service and it was incredibly cumbersome to find a 1-800 #! I did register my product and tried going thru the Netgear site to contact customer service but I was stuck in a loop. Each time I clicked on a link to contact customer service I was brought back to the beginning. I’m not sure why contacting customer service is so difficult!! After setup, it did have issues staying connected. However the next day, the connection stuck and I have not been dropped so far. The signal strength is also awesome. We’ve noticed a huge difference and have not had any complaints about someone being dropped off the WiFi. Also, I’ve not had to reboot the system once! We’ve had the system hooked up for about 2 weeks now and so far so good. We have 3 TVs, 3 ipads, 3 phones and several computers and other devices hooked up. We previously had an Apple extreme airport and express to extend the WiFi. Our house is over 5200 sq ft. I hope this system will last us a while. We’ve been in our place for 4 years and 2 years in we had to replace our Apple. Now we’ve replaced our 2nd Apple with this and hoping for it to give us several good years of use.

I have been extremely impressed with the performance and ease of use of the Orbi system. The setup was easy enough for a user of any level. Being an advanced user, I had to do a little Googling to find exactly the settings I needed to tweak for my custom setup, but the features I needed were there. I am amazed at the speed of the mesh wifi setup and there is no corner of my house (and even my yard) that does not have coverage. I have had no issues in the time that I have owned this system, and am extremely satisfied with all areas of this product.

Was a little worried after reading all the reviews about difficulty in setup, but it was so easy. Setup and got base router going quickly and then plugged in satellites and they took just minutes to register and start working. I have a large 5500 sf 3 level house with mother in law apartment on far end and i have good signal throughout. Tested with speed test app and am very happy. Had been using some extenders but the router was too old to handle all the devices and that is without the kids home for holidays when everyone is on there phones and tablets

Living in a large older brick house with metal lathe and plaster walls, good wifi coverage has been hard to achieve. We had a good enough system that we had put together with a router and a couple of access points, but there were still dead spots, and there were awkward "hand offs" from one access point to another that sometimes required us to log off of one and onto another. The Orbi AC2200 with two satellites has solved those problems for us. We have more even coverage throughout the house, and devices never seem to struggle with diminishing signal as we move from room to room. The signal strength outside the house is noticeably stronger. Set up was easy, and monitoring and adjusting the system through the iPhone app is simple too. We have six wifi users in our house and approximately thirty devices, and everyone is glad that we installed the Orbi.

Easy set up. I used to have week signals in the far corners of my house and outside patio. Now I have fast internet everywhere. Way way better than other Wi-Fi extenders I have used. A little expensive, but after being so frustrated in the past, it was well worth it. Especially since I cut the cord with satellite and needed to make sure the tv in my kids room would get good internet speeds. Also I wanted a tri-band.

Very happy with this purchase! WiFi issues are a fact of modern life these days. In our ever-more-connected homes, dependable WiFi is both critical and nearly impossible. It used to be that a wireless network had a couple of laptops and a printer, but now there are multiple TVs streaming 4K, smartphones, printers with their own hotspots, doorbells, smart thermostats, etc. And that doesn't count all the interference from devices in your neighbor's homes. In my case, that meant that despite having a 100mpbs internet connection I was seeing download speeds of 5-8 mbps in my upstairs home office - and lots of times where the connection was lost altogether. With Orbi, I don't just have one WiFi accesss point. Instead, there is a base station and two satellites, giving me three different ways to connect. Each unit is a router in its own right, and the satellites also provide for wired Ethernet access too. Best of all, they use their own 5Ghz backhaul frequency, while providing seamless 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz connections to my devices. My coverage is uniformly good throughout my home, and in the yard and out front too. Setup took just a short time, and while Orbi offers a smartphone app for configuration, you don't really need one. The Orbi units display their setup status with color-coded displays. For more advanced users, you can access the full suite of advanced router capabilities through a web interface. I have recommended this product to friends and co-workers many times. You will not be sorry!

After dealing with spotty WiFi signals in my house I decided to give this Orbi a try. OMG. What a difference it makes!!!!! We have a staircase in the dead center of our house which apparently acts like a lead box. The router is on one side and the TV’s are on the other side. In the room with the router we were getting speeds of 234 mbps. The TV’s on the other side of the staircase (about 20’ and 30’ away) the WiFi speeds were between 40 and 80 fluctuating. We installed the main Orbi unit next to the router and placed the smaller transmitters next to each TV. Set up was super easy using the app. Which scanned the barcode from your unit to start and also registers your device. I was up and running within 10 minutes. I ran another speed test on the 2 TV’s and now I’m getting 234 - 238 on each TV !!! Awesome. And what’s even better we now have WiFi all through our yard and at the neighbors house !! My husband can mow the grass with his earbuds in and not lose signal.. Super excited about this item!! We’ve FINALLY conquered our lead box staircase issue !!!!

Wow, have 3 electronics in the living room, each with a different reception of the Internet. 1 TV and 2 computers. My computer got 17MPS, the TV got about 15 and the other computer about 80MPS. All within 30 feet of each other. Put the Netgear ORBI together in minutes and got all three to re-test with Speedtest by OOkla. My computer went from 17 to over 100MPS. Our cable Internet company guarantees 50MPS so for both computers to hit 100MPS was astonishing. The TV, since we dropped cable, actually runs with no dead time. We are running ROKU and YouTubeTV with absolutely no problems. My only sob story is 2 weeks later, for Thanksgiving, the price came down 70 dollars. Going to add Firestick, tomorrow and I don't miss cable prices. We are also running one of the satellites on the 2nd floor and for the first time ever, we have the Internet throughout the entire house!

Easy setup with app. Instructions written for beginners and pros alike. Coverage is unbelievable. Granddaughter’s room had no coverage and now has 185mb downloads. Orbi keeps the routers updated as more threats are detected. Best of all I can assist my son in NJ from my home in California. Can’t recommend this system strongly enough.

I originally purchased and installed an EERO system a few years ago. This system worked great for 3 years, but then suddenly stopped communicating with my 2.4Ghz devices (SkyBell, LIFX light bulbs). A few days later it stopped communicating with ANY device. After spending time with EERO support they determined that their devices were having issues choosing a 'clear channel' to broadcast on and - get this - recommended I visit each of my neighbors (condo complex) to see if they would limit their WiFi router signals. Needless to say, this did not happen. I then did a quick search of other MESH devices and found this ORBI system. I ran over to the local BB and purchased the ORBI set that included 1)Router and 2)full sized Satellites. I unplugged all the EERO devices (also 3 in total) and plugged in the new ORBI devices. I downloaded the ORBI app to my Android phone. I followed the instructions presented. Within a half hour all three ORBI devices were up and running, linked together, and on-line! All my WiFi devices (including my 2.4Ghx only ones - SkyBell, LIFX light bulbs, etc.) all connected and were working again! Just like magic! I have been using the ORBI WiFi system now for almost 2 weeks and have ZERO COMPLAINTS! Everything just works!
