The device is relatively simple to use and works great. It allows me to use my big screen TV as a duplicate, extended, or 2nd screen to my mobile laptop. Works great with get togethers at my home to show videos, pictures, etc. My only complaint is that I had to do an immediate firmware update right out of the box. Other than that, I've been very happy with this product.

This thing does work well, although every once in a while the TV doesn't seem to know it exists. $50 is a little high on the price, though. Great if you want to be able to display ANYTHING from your computer on your TV. Fills in a gap in Chromecast service.

I had low expectations when I bought this but overall I turned out to be pleased. You do have to update the firmware which is a bit of a chore. After that it connected to the tablet right away and I could see the home screen. I have used it to display pictures I took and web pages and it works fine for that. I also would have liked to view purchased movies from the tablet to the tv but the device says the content cannot be displayed because the connection is not secure.

I don't know if the fault of Intel, Microsoft, or this particular device, but this technology is not ready for prime time. In my case, getting it to work at all on Windows 8 was a very involved and frustrating process. Then when I upgraded to Windows 8.1, I had to start all over again. Eventually I got it to work -- some of the time, anyway -- but there were issues even when it was "working." It would often disconnect and refuse to connect until I went through an involved process. Moreover, when playing .mp3's through my stereo system -- which is one of the main things I wanted to be able to do wirelessly -- there was all sort of stuttering, etc. I gave up and returned the device after discovering that.

Had the device installed from day one, very easy to set up, even with just an android device (I used an HTC One). Within minutes, I was projecting my mobile display to the TV, playing flappy bird. There was lag between phone screen response and the TV, but that should be expected. Playing movies or music, showing pictures, or, on a business level, giving mobile app demos are all great ways to utilize the PTV3000.

Firstly, do not plug this in until you've completely updated your WiDi Application on your computer... save yourself the headache. It's not the hardware that needs new firmware. Secondly, do NOT buy this if you're looking for a dual monitor setup with your computer. There's about a 60ms lag time on the screen and with the computer. I've used this both at work and at home. It makes watching online TV a breeze, and the cost is comparable to a WiFi Blu-Ray player. I' have a WiFi blu-ray player and this thing knocks the socks off of it. Since it is using my laptop for connecting to the internet it loads things much quicker, a BIG bonus. In the office there's no comparison to doing code review across 10 employees and not having to switch wires, or switch seats every 15 minutes. Range is best at about 5-10feet, works well as far as 15ft, and can connect to my laptop as far as 25ft.

the product is great but it does not include a hdmi cable and it should be smaller in size like a dongle which eliminates the the need for cables. The product is too expensive especially now that most products have better browsers. it's better to use a USB connector to hdmi and download a computer mirroring/ remote app

Device worked great and was easy to setup. Only downfall, I couldnt get Netflix to play through it, as it says it doesnt support high enough resolution to play. I was able to play dvds and movies from my laptop but not able to run the netflix app which sucked. Guess I should have just gotten chromecast as it has the same functionality. Only benefit of this device seems to be you can actually duplicate your screen onto your tv in the event you want to work on your laptop through the tv screen

I puchased this for my computer so I can connect my laptop to my tv without having to drag out the HDMI. However, every once in a while it can be a pain to keep the laptop connected to the box.

NETGEAR - Push2TV Wireless Display Adapter

I saw a lot of bad reviews on this WiDi adapter. I already had one so I knew what to expect. Out of the box the first thing you want to do is the firmware update. That's just the way it is these days with electronic devices like this. Once that's done it works great. The only problem I have is when playing a HD movie over Wi-Fi with a high bitrate I get freezing and stuttering. Although I have Wireless N and get 350 mbps transfers over my network. I guess it's the limitation of the device / laptop though because it's using the Wi-Fi radio to transfer the video data over the network and then out to the netgear Wi-Di adapter. If I copy the file to my laptop or a Flash drive and then play it to the netgear it plays just fine. It's a good product and works as advertised once you do the firmware update.

I purchased this to use in our conference room at work. I loved the small form factor and the ability to power it from the same TV it was hooked up to. I did have to immediately update the firmware and it seems to work great when it works. By that I mean I occasionally get connection issues with devices it normally works fine with. Also it is not detectable by some devices still.

If you purchase a PC with Wireless Display utility, you will need an adapter which plugs into your TV with an HDMI cable. Push2TV is a slim unit. You cannot put it in an enclosed location. You need a strong WiFi signal. You may need to move your router around a bit or find a good location for your computer - this is pretty much trial and error. Sometimes my computer finds Push2TV, sometimes not. When it finds it, it only works sometimes and then my PC loses the internet connection. So this is a work in progress.

Okay unit if you want to go wireless

The PushtoTV works as described but the "away from TV" range is somewhat limited to about 10 feet before picture starts chopping or cuts out. Setup was a little confusing and I always feel frustrated when you buy something brand new and the first thing you have to do is update the firmware. A problem I encountered was once the firmware was installed and the unit was ready to go, it did not tell you how to hook up to it on a laptop. So, to save you time if you purchase this unit and are using Windows 8.1 on a laptop, do the following: 1. Press the "Windows Key" and the "C" key which will bring up a task bar on the right hand side of the screen. 2. Select "Devices". 3. Select "Project". 4. If your PushtoTV is working properly you should see the PushtoTV listed as a selection. 5. Click on Push2TV and it should show your laptop display on the TV. 6. Once you see the display on your TV, you will also see it on your laptop. You can control which combination you want by pressing the "Windows Key" and "P" which will allow you to select "PC Screen Only", "Duplicate (meaning both TV and Laptop)", "Extend (Meaning 1/2 display on laptop and other 1/2 display on TV)" or "Second Screen Only (meaning only on the TV)". Yes, the unit works as described and my only issue is that I feel it should have had more range. Perhaps moving the PushtoTV around it might give you better range. I do like that you can duplicate everything you have on your laptop to your TV. However, gamers, I would not recommend this as there is a split second lag making the critical controlling games pretty much impossible to play. For movie viewers, it works great.

Works well with the specified devices (My Nexus 4 & 5). I just wished it worked with by Nexus 7 (2012). Some lag at first pairing the device and the adapter, but, it worked well after that.

NetGear Push2TV Network Adapter: This is a clever device designed to display on you HD TV set either your smart phone , computer or laptop display screen. Unfortunately, I was not able to make it work with either my smart phone, an Android, Samsung S-4 and my laptop, an ACER Aspire with Windows 8..1 OS. I spent countless hours trying to make it work with a Samsung Smart TV, to no avail. I called NetGear support and a very nice support person in the Phillipines spent 3 hours on the phone with me and was unable to make it work He could not tell me whether the problem stemmed from incompatibility or the device was defective. He suggested I return the device to Best Buy. I did. I have not tried another Push2TV Wireless Adapter yet. I'm giving it a rest, but will probably try again in a couple of weeks. If nothing else, I'll be able to confirm whether device was defective or there are compatibility issues which have not been identified by NetGear. By the way, the instructions are somewhat optuse and difficult to follow. Very little responds the way instructions indicate. In all, a big disappointment.
