Had it for about a month now. Super easy install and the video quality is great! I can read plate numbers fairly well from distance too. Software is easy to use, and it has given us peace of mind while driving. It will take some extra effort hiding the wires, but it includes a tool to help with that which was nice.

Don't think twice. Buy this confidently. It does its job. I just bought one 2 weeks back for Thanksgiving, and just yesterday involved in an accident. What a timing!. Dash cam captured clearly that the other person was at fault , since it was green light for me and left turn on yield for other guy. It immediately locked the video clip automatically and protected it. Its an old school SD card only dash cam and no fancy apps, cloud etc.... Had purchased the Nextbase SD card along with it. Don't settle for a cheap SD card. The video was much clearer but couldn't upload it here. Took a screenshot which might not look great . This was seconds before the collision

Camera works great, but my back camera had a problem when I bought it and there’s a purple hue that happens while recording. So I only had two weeks to return it to Best Buy because of the garbage policy. So now I have to deal with the company in England just to get it replaced. And it’s only been three weeks. So the camera works well, when it’s working. But Best Buy’s customer service is garbage, so you might not want to deal with the UK just to get a product fix like I have to.

It’s been malfunctioning since it was installed. Still is not operating properly. Difficulty connecting to your cell phone, is very delayed, when it does connect, it will not work according to its specifications. Expensive error. Do not invest in this product. Employees not compliant and gave off attitudes. They Refused to replace it unless I pay a second time for them to replace or remove the system. Total loss on my part. I even purchased an extra hard wire kit to have it installed into my vehicle. And now I’m stuck with something that’s doesn’t work correctly and I’m very much unsatisfied. They “Do Not Guarantee” the their work or the product and will expect you to pay for them to rectify the problem, even though it is not your fault. They take no responsibility for anything, but will take more of your money.

Totally unhappy I purchased this to treat myself December and I never got to it due to being so busy now to find out the app isn’t phone compatible in the u.s as per their website “ next base “ I don’t see the purpose ih having this and I’m sure now I’m stuck with This don’t waste your time getting it , I feel the package should display this or the ad online I think it’s messed up to get people this way to spend their money not cool

This item according to Next Base tech service might have a bad hardware. The rear camera would record in pink color. It intermittent would turn pink on the small screen and record with pink color. I contacted next base but told me to return the it since its still under warranty. I contacted Best Buys where I purchased the dash cam but Best Buys wants to charge me for install since tell install it when purchased. I contacted Next base but never heard back from Nextbase Disappointed

I have dash cams on all my cars and of various brands so am familiar with them. Install on these cameras are quite easy and if you need a little help, there are tons of youtube videos out there that will make the job a lot easier. Inside the box you have the cameras and a very easy and direct instruction manual, plus a tool to help tuck away the wires. The only thing I wished was that it came with wire clips, like my viofo, that you can use to hold the wires in place underneath the steering column. You will also need to purchase a separate micro sd card as it does not come with one. Both front and rear cameras are held in place by a very strong magnetic holder. I'm very confident that the cameras will not shift out of place even in heavy driving. But I found that with the way my rear window was angled, it was not the best holder because the wire connecting to the camera got in the way. I was still able to position the camera to get a decent view of the rear, but depending on your vehicle, it might be a problem. My other gripe is, even though the front camera screen was big enough to view, it got washed out during daylight and was quite difficult to see. The video footage was good, not great. You do have an option to record at 720p at 60fps which I thought was nice, though did not use this. Set-up was really straight forward and the menu was easy to navigate. This is a really good basic camera with not too many options so the menu was sparse. One thing to note is that this camera does not use an app or wifi to view recordings. The camera or the sd card has to be dismounted and plugged in to view. I would recommend this camera to anyone wants a decent budget no frills dash cam.

Good budget dashcam + with a rear camera, plenty of cord included and records at 1080p 30fps.
I installed this in a Wrangler Rubicon - this is one of the few dash cams I have found that can be
mounted right out of the box to a flat or nearly flat windshield. It is notable that it records
with or without the rear camera plugged in.
Installation - The box contains everything required with a generous allowance of cord for both the power
adaptor and the rear camera. I stuck it on and ran it for a few days off of the 12v port in the dash.
The video quality is as-expected for 1080P 30fps. details are clear when other vehicles are close and
the wide field of view captures the appropriate action. The rear camera has a narrower field of view -
my use it works perfectly on the rear window however this could be placed elsewhere to record the cabin
if that was desired over seeing traffic.
Rear cam wiring - Can be extended or a breakaway can be created with a miniature jack headphone cable.
Software - This camera does not have wifi or bluetooth - there is no app ! - You can retrieve
video by swapping cards or bringing it to a computer with a USB cable. For my use which is mostly
"set it and forget it" - this is fine.

IT FITS A JEEP !!! ( Most dashcams do not fit a flat windshield install )
Video quality excellent, CPOL filter on lens.
Quick boot time and offers a protected parking mode
Cons -
No bluetooth / No wifi / no app.
Overall - Solid budget dashcam with a second camera.

It was fine while it worked. Now the rear camera is giving me a pink screen and Nextbase warranty's only option is to completely uninstall the entire system (including cables) and send it back to them for "inspection". Then they will send me a refurbished unit that I will have to pay to have installed again. Research shows that it is a known problem with this unit. I wish I had bought something else.
