It feels like the exact same controller that shipped with the NES decades ago, only with a different plug to interface with the Mini NES. I knocked off one star because the cord is way too short. You can buy extensions but in this day and age they should have made this thing at least 6 ft if not wireless.

Great quality, looks and feels like the original. Now i can play 2 player games on my NES Classic.

Excellent build quality, great feel in the hands, and little lag/latency when used with NES Classic. 4 out 5 due to the short cord length, but otherwise a must have for the NES Classic.

Unfortunately the NES Classic only ships with one controller (note that SNES Classic ships with two). The feel of the controller is true to it's original, with the downside being length of the cord, measuring in at approximately 2.5 feet. The original NES controller cord was about 7.5 feet. Be prepared to buy a 2 pack of 6 foot extensions, which will cover this controller and the one that came with the system (I picked up a package of two from Best Buy for $10). Also, as an added bonus for those still using the Virtual Console on Wii, note that this controller works with Wii-motes as well!

Every other cheaper third party controller doesn’t keep up with the games on the system; you want the buttons to correspond with movements you see on screen, and the original NES control is the only one I’ve found that works. Just don’t forget an extension cable; the controls only have 2 and a half foot wires!

It has been difficult to get the authentic/genuine controller for NES Classic. Since they sell out so quickly but I've finally got one. Despite the short cord, it's definitely worth the $9.99 price. Nearly all of the components can be swapped with a real NES controller to basically make a functional controller that looks like it's brand new! =)

Not sure why the NES Classic re-release only came with one controller... (the SNES one came with two) but this one here is an exact replica. It's super rare to find, more rare than the classic console itself, so if your Best Buy has one, jump on it! It's also compatible with the Wiimote for playing Virtual Console games on Wii U.

Like the original controller no cut corners spell out quality like the original built like a tank Only 1 cun Wired too short But can’t go wrong with the official controller thanks Best Buy for having in stock on the rerelease this controller is extremely hard to get more harder than the system it self thanks you again Best Buy

I know there are some 3rd party and even wireless controllers, but nothing compares or beats the original NES controller. This is what started it all! This is a MUST have controller to enjoy playing on the NES classic. The one thing you will need is an extension cable. Not sure why Nintendo made the cable so short.

Retro Nintendo consoles are my favorite. With the release of the Classic Mini Editions, I was excited to get the console and accessories in new condition. This remote works just like the original with the exception that the cord is a bit short. Buy the wire extension to fully maximize your gaming experience.

This is a great controller for the NES Classic. It's genuine Nintendo and is almost exact to the original from the 80's. Its worth purchasing this because the system only comes with one. The only draw back is the cable length, but other than that its a great controller! I am planning to buy another!

must for any classic nes owner, just kind of mad that the system didn't come with 2 controllers like the snes, but the snes classic was more money, so i guess Nintendo was trying to make this bundle cheaper, quality is great and you will definitely need this for multiplayer games

There are a few controllers for the NES classic you can use. But, the official brand nintendo classic controller is the best version to use for the NES classic. The cord itself is pretty short. Though, using the extension cable for the controller definitely improves enjoyment when playing.

these controllers are the exact same build quality as there were in the 1980's. They are worth every penny, and you will certainly need one more to go with the NES Classic. Only $10 too ! These also work on the Nintendo Wii and the Wii U. Great for Virtual Console games!!

Got to get this as a second controller to complete the nostalgic experience. Always excellent, trustworthy, reliable Nintendo quality. Third party controllers don't come close to Nintendo quality. Can be used for Nintendo Wii too! For the old school and new school gamers!!!

I got my Nintendo Classic on release date, but controllers were hard to find. I waited almost a year for the restock, and I’m glad to have a second controller that matches the one the came with the console! Other than the short cable, this is a great controller.

Just as advertised. These controllers are quite hard to find, I was lucky I was able to get a hold of one. Works great, wish the cord was a little longer but this can easily be fixed by purchasing a controller extension cable, other than that I am happy with it

Absolutely the best wired controller for the NES Classic console. Unfortunately the console didn't come with two controllers, so you will need to buy a second one for two player games. Only issue is the short length of the cord. Still highly recommended.

This controller has the exact feel of the original controller. The cord could stand to be a little longer, but it can be plugged into a Wii remote, which would account for the short cord. Overall a very enjoyable product!

I love the fact that Nintendo released these mini systems. I hope they bring out the n64 next. I wish they would have included the second controller in the first place because you pretty much couldn't find them anywhere except eBay for 3 times the price. This works exactly as expected but the cord is too short so make sure you buy cord extensions.
