For such a low price, this is a really, REALLY good headset. It's got limited lighting features, without nothing like a pulsating or color changing lighting effect, all you can do is set the solid color to any number of color choices. It's better than nothing, so you can personalize it to some extent. But there are other headsets out there that do more with lighting features. But for a wireless headset, this seems really good for such a low price. It has a lot of connectivity options so you can use it on a great number of devices, but if you're trying to connect it to a console you might have some trouble unless you don't mind connecting it with a wire to your controller. Wirelessly, it's a little limited in how you can connect it to a device, requiring either a mini stereo connector jack OR the old red & white style composite audio connectors. So if your device doesn't have those kinds of outputs, you can't use this headset. As for my PS4 and Xbox One, I use it with the wire attached to the controller, because wireless transmitter doesn't plug into the controller in a way that allows as much freedom of motion as just plugging the headset directly in (because the transmitter is too heavy to just let it dangle from the controller). The stylish appearance, sound quality, battery life, ease of use, wireless range, and compatibility rivals the more than 3x more expensive Turtle Beach Elite 800's that I bought alongside with this headset. I highly recommend this.

I purchased these wireless headsets for use in an eight hour professional virtual training environment. These performed flawlessly even though I had to wear them for the full day. They were comfortable and stable on my head even though I was walking around bending over to help students in the classroom. Many remarked about the 'blue haze' the headsets glowed with, and I changed the color each day to provide a change-up. The sound and mic functions were clear, solid, and without noise on either end. The 'mic-on/off' button was very accessible and provided an effectiveness muting operation. The charge held all day, and I only had to charge them with the included cord in the evening for the next day's session. For the price, the headset provided all the features and capabilities I needed to make the seminar a success. Excellent product and price point. Paul

Little heavy after long time use but great sound quality from these headphones. Wireless for a budget, for under $100 great sound quality and sturdy. My son has gone through a couple other brand wired and wireless headphones and they are very flimsy compared to these. We have 3 pairs in the house and we all love them

Range is good, covers most of my house. Mic works well, but bleeds into the speakers some. Comfort is less than most of the dozen or so other similar style headsets I have used after prolonged use. Biggest complaint here is that they squeeze my ears harder than most. Plus side to that is that I am not afraid of them falling off when I am walking around with them on. I've also only had them for a couple of weeks at this point so they might brake in some more and get more comfortable still. Sound quality is pretty good, that is if you ignore the constant noisy interference; which is a constant series of high pitched beeps and crackling sounds. My best guess is that they are getting interference from my wireless network but I'm not really sure what frequency they use. The best way to combat the noise I have found is to max out the volume on the source (in my case my computer) and turn down the headset itself, but it's still there, especially when things get quiet. The fancy light up features that let you change the color that it's currently shinning as, doesn't persist after you shut them off so you have to reset it every time you turn it on; which means mine are always blue because thats way more work than it's worth to change the color of some lights that are on my ears and I can't see. I have used many headsets before, but this is the first wireless one so I am not really sure how it compares to other wireless headsets in terms of noise from interference. All in all in the end, as long as you ignore the noisy interference, they work well and seem solid.

Overall I like the headphones. I have had Turtle Beach headphones in the past and I do prefer their individual volume slider for game and chat volume as well as a discrete mute switch. Of course the reason I had to buy new headphones is that my wonderful mute switch broke. I gotta have my mute because people playing Call Of Duty have no right to listen to everything going on in my house and sometimes that includes just saving them from hearing a vacuum cleaner in the background. For the price though you can't beat it. The sound quality appears to be comparable to the Turtle Beach. If you like headphones that light up then this is for you. I really don't care about the illumination.

I bought this headset as a birthday present for my 14 year old son and it became an immediate legend in our household. It was one of those "I can't believe you got me this dad!" presents. The quality of workmanship is excellent, it is comfortable, stylish, easy to use, the portability with the carrying case is definitely worth the extra money over the black model. It is truly universal. It is one of the few products I have purchased that actually exceeded my expectations. Our one beef and it is the only one is that it could be a little louder. The sound is clear, and crisp and it is true that you really do hear everything with it. It has different modes that are all wonderful including true surround and in that mode you really can tell exactly where every little thing in the game is. I am actually not sure if the volume is a fault in the headset or our equipment although I did check and the x-box e.q. volume is all the way up. It is loud enough it just cannot be cranked. Which may actually be a good thing. I know my son can't ruin his ears with it. It is extremely comfy on the ears and stuff. It really seems like a much higher end set than it is. I have had other brands of headset in the past and this was the first Afterglow for me. They have made me a repeat, can't see myself going back to the other brands anytime soon customer. I am planning to buy this exact same model for myself and possibly my 11 year old daughter as well.

The PDP - Afterglow Universal Prismatic Wireless Headset - Black has turned out to be a very solid purchase. I use the headset in both personally at home and in a cubicle office setting where wires get in the way easily. The headset and accompanying accessories are very easy to use and setup. The sound output of the headset is very good. The controls are very easy to use and understand. The lighting effect is really cool. The headset works on both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Linux without any issues. The battery life is very good. I can easily get 11 hours of consistent use, and even longer in standby mode when not in consistently. The headset is very comfortable, and I really like the retractable microphone built into the headset. The only caveat encountered is plugging the headset into a docking station USB with quite a few other USB devices and other electronic components can result in a slight signal bleed that is lightly audible, but can be adjust out somewhat by utilizing either an onboard USB port on a laptop or by adjusting the volume controls on the headset itself. All use testing performed so far has been with the out-of-the-box headset and USB/3.5mm jack connection. There is additional functionality included with the headset that has not be tested as of yet. All-in-all, this is a great product, and I highly recommend it for anyone needing to be mobile, but desiring the noise canceling capability of a headset.

I was looking for a headset to be able to communicate online but I didn't want to spend $150+ because I'm more of a casual gamer. This headset perfectly fit my needs as it is a great price without any of the drawbacks. Sound quality is great, mic is good enough. The only negative thing I can say is that if you're used to putting in 4+ hours in one session of gaming then the ear muffs might get uncomfortable.

Clear sound, nice battery but not glasses friendly

For what is available for wireless headsets, this is not a terrible headset, It has a nice, clear sound, but the headset itself is not very comfortable to wear for a long period, the sides push in hard on your head, and if you wear eyewear or gaming glasses it makes the area behind your ears where they rest sore after about an hour of use. Especially if you have a weird head shape. If you want to have this in your room or somewhere you sleep, there is no way that I've found to have a light-free charge, making it difficult to sleep without excess flashing of a very bright light. when using the USB you have to completely unplug it from the wall or turn your computer off too keep it's pesky light off. this takes up a very wide space in a USB port so that if you have ports side-by-side or on top of another, it will partially block them, and not allow you to have other things plugged in. The set up manual is not very clear, and I can't figure out how to change the color for the headset itself, so I'm stuck with the same ol' blue. On the plus, it has a pretty long battery life, plus an adjustable chat to game volume setting. however, there is no way to mute your own voice in your headset without muting yourself to those trying to hear you. Overall this is a nice pair of headphones, sure, but if you have the money and want a good, wireless headset for PC gaming while wearing glasses,, invest in a Logitech G930.

Got this for my brother with his new Ps3. It's so funny now trying to get his attention because he cannot hear the outside world with that headset on! The set changes colors too. Be sure to charge overnight before use. Overall great product and worth spending a little extra.

I purchased the Afterglow Prismatic Wireless Headset for my son for Christmas for his xbox 360. Well, couldn't wait, he got them a couple weeks early because his cheaper brand broke. He was floored by the quality of the sound. Gaming was incredible. He could tell where every noise, shot, etc. came from. He says they are awesome with Guitar Hero. He says that chat on xbox live has never been better. The voices, sounds, everything are just clear as can be. He is very hard to please and doesn't often speak highly of products. In fact, he usually throws them out within a week or two after getting tired of them not working up to his expectations. A month now and he still raves about them. I like them a lot better than the drum set I got him a few years back too. ; ) The mic, headphones, etc. have all held up to his rugged use and abuse. He plays frequently, often several hours a day and often goes to friends houses to play and the headset travels with him.

Easy to use, easy to set up, and great quality for the price! The light settings are awesome! I can change the color to whatever I want which is fun and cool! I really like the three settings for original sound/bass boost/immersive! The microphone works well too! They charge really fast (3 hours if battery is fully depleted) and last for 10! Can't beat that! I highly recommend for anyone that wants to feel like they are really in the game/movie/music!

This headset out performs all others I have tested including $300 ones I've purchased in the past. The sound quality is top notch and it is very easy to set up. The charge lasts a long time and the range is incredible. So why am I only giving it 4 stars. Because I am on my 3rd pair this year alone. The design is flimsy and the base of the headphones almost certainly cracks within a week or two and it has charging problems. My other two headphones stopped charging all of a sudden and wouldn't sinc with the computer rendering them useless. I would recommend getting these but make sure you also get a protection plan as well.

Bought this for my son who Skypes and games online with his friends, and he absolutely loves it..! He was easily able to remember how to use it after reading the directions once and a quick demo from me. He likes to change the color of the lights on it depending on which game he's playing, which is very easy & intuitive to do. (Diamond blue for Minecraft, of course) The fact that it can be used on multiple of our consoles, and his laptop, is so nice! And, because it's wireless, I don't have to worry about him pulling any cords and jerking any of the electronics off onto the floor when he gets excited or jumps-up to run to the bathroom, etc..!
