First of all, great price on this drive at Best Buy. Competitive with all the big sellers online. Good job Best Buy! And great job Samsung! This drive is faster than even needed! Amazingly simple install. Great price for the size/quality. NO issues of any kind. Look at the speeds compared to my old Intel 335 180gb SSD! (Pic attached) Solid state drives are the best thing to happen to computers in the last many years. Every machine benefits from getting rid of that old spinning drive!

We upgraded by son's Dell gaming PC with the 500GB Samsung 970 EVO SSD. Along with a RAM upgrade (HyperX Fury), he went from 2 minute boot times to 20 second boot times! The drive was super easy to install, but note it does NOT come with the screw needed to attach the top of the drive in the PC case. I ordered an installation kit for a few bucks that included the screw and a heat sink, but you will need that part if it is not already in your PC. We paired this SSD with a 3TB standard drive to hold all his media and files. After installing the drive and updating drivers to see if, we created a boot USB drive and re-installed Windows clean on this drive, then re-installed files on the data drive. A very worthy upgrade for the price and easy to install. Upgrade your RAM while you have the PC open as well and enjoy the rewards.

For this price range this is the best ssd. This is the pcie nvme which at this time is the fastest again in this price range. Make sure your computer is compatible with the m.2 nvme before purchasing. The other ssd type is the M.2 Sata... they look very similar. You can tell the difference by the notch in the end. Sata has 2 and Nvme has 1.... however they will both fit in the same slot but your computer may not be compatible with the newer nvme. Good luck!

First of all, this is the fastest NVMe that I have had, Speeds tested with Crystal Disk and Samsung Magician are almost the same, Read over 3500 MB/s and Write over 3200 MB/s Have this drive for a couple of months and no problems, very reliable and stable speeds thru time, run test once in a while. Recommended, trust Samsung, for me they are number one on reliability and performance... Recommended This Message has been approved by ME ;)

Good nvme. Decent enough for gaming and multitasking with design/photo software. I'd recommend 500gb as a minimum. No issues after 2+ years.

I bought this one to replace a defective drive on a gaming laptop. The original drive was 128gb so this was a great upgrade almost 4 times the original. Is the first time I replace this kind of drive and it was easy to replace. Put it on the laptop, installed windows on it and that was it. Great performance compared with the original.

I bought two of these (One for my rig I'm building and another to replace the one in my laptop) and this works amazingly well! The laptop boots much quicker and behaves a lot better than with the old M.2! M.2s are quick to install and this one has great performance and affordability to match!

I've been building computers for 20 years, but honestly this was my first NVME SSD Drive and I am impressed. Oh, I've owned many SATA 2.5 inch SSD's, and a few Samsung branded ones at that. I bought this one to use as a Windows 10 boot drive. I definitely recommend this product. The boot time speed is incredible and file transfer times are impressive as well. The only regret I have is that I wish I hadn't waited so long before I bought my first NVME drive. All of the Samsung drives that I have purchased have never failed me.........so far.

This thing is blazing fast. What an upgrade over our old HDD. It boots games up much faster and areas that took forever to load don't give us any issue.

I replaced the 128gb Samsung M.2 SSD drive from my 2018 Dell G7 gaming laptop. Wow what a difference! The speeds are night and day! Don’t hesitate to pick one of these up. Lastly, if you’re replacing an older Samsung drive, be sure to use Samsung’s free cloning software. It’ll make your life easier.

I used this for my boot drive on my new pc. It now loads up from completely off to fully running in 15 seconds. Totally worth it.

This will probably be the last review on a pci-3 backbone for me. Pci4 is around the corner. Regardless, my experience is with this drive is from the standpoint of a fresh install. If you need to replace (or better, add) your m.2 nvme storage, get this. I picked up the 500GB version, replacing a bricked Toshiba OEM 128GB nvme on my ASUS ROG laptop. It's easy if you have a laptop that gives you access to the drives. My ROG does. It was no harder than unscrewing screws, popping out/in the module and start your OS install method (I used a usb w10 iso). You could tell immediately that the drive was fast during the install. Did a little benchmark with Samsung Magician... the results speak for themselves. See image.

The 970 EVO nvme is so freaking fast! The ONLY downside is the heat, that all NVME SSD, produce. I haven't noticed any throttling so far, and I'm in music production. Overall, a great buy, from Bestbuy!

I bought this to replace my regular SSD so I did some digging. While SSD's, in general are fast, this goes beyond. Loading times are faster but you are not going to notice much difference from regular SDD's unless you are transferring files. Producing content on youtube? this is a must! Doesn't require any cables it just plugs in. Make sure to know that this will disable one or 2 SATA connections because it uses more PCI-E lanes. Also, Samsung has software on their website for cloning your old O.S to the new Nvme drive make sure you download the drivers. Highly recommend it!!
