Case has nice feel to it. Easy to switch out sizes for squishy wrap, which are very comfortable, choices also nice since my ears are different sizes. Easy to remove from ears with small hands with short nails. They have only came out of my ears while sleeping a couple times.
Charge lasts all night, case recharges last me all week. Full recharge is quick, about a couple hours. Sound quality is better than my JBLs, as well as better noise cancelling, and comfort.
Options for sounds are great, really like the way it gives you ways to build your sounds, and then offers 3 choices to scroll when not connected to phone- saves battery I presume. The snore-blocking capability is why I really got these, and they do amazing. Snore block/train/rain combo is my go-to.
Only a couple slight negatives- when opening case the battery indicator lights are bright, wakes you up a bit (or anyone near you). I've used it as a quick flashlight.
Also, it may be just me, but One of my ears is tender to lay on and I have to put my hand propped up around that ear to prevent it from being sore. I even have the smallest wrap on it, so it is probs just my ear.

Excellent earbuds for sleeping. Comfortable. Noise cancellation is about 90% but fully silent with the background noise for the earbuds.

Very comfortable for bedtime but also throughout the day. The noise cancellation is very thorough, I've even used them on plane rides and they're very good. They also hold a very long charge, Ive only had to recharge them twice in the last two months and I use them nightly!

I have been using these for about 3 months now. Easy to set up and connect. They stay in my ears all night usually and do not hurt my ears like my AirPods Pros do. If you need music or some sort of music or , these are pretty good. I have included a comparison photo to my Airpods.

Small comfortable sleep earbuds with great battery

These are very good sleep earbuds with many comfort options.
Fitment options
The earbuds come with multiple sized tips and ear wings, so I was able to find the fit that worked the best for me. The package contains xtra-small, small, medium (preinstalled) and large sealed ear tips for noise blocking, but also contains small, medium and large breathable tips for more air flow, but do not offer any noise blocking. There are also 3 available options for ear wings to help keep the earbuds securely in place.
Comfort
The ear tip and wing materials are soft and pliable and the buds themselves are small enough that I am able to comfortably sleep on my side without discomfort.
Noise-canceling
The noise-canceling is passive so the earbuds do not block very much sound, but when paired with the app and using the ambient noises or your own music/sounds they do a very good job of reducing external sounds.
Battery life
In my opinion this is where these buds stand out. The battery life is amazing i have wore them to bed for 8+ hours and each morning the buds still have around 30% battery remaining. Battery life has been the biggest issue in the past where the buds would not make it thru the full night.
Sleep tracking
The soundcore app makes adjusting the earbuds feature quick and easy, but this is also where you view your sleep tracking history. Tracking data provides you with time awake, light sleep, deep sleep as well as times rolling over and percentage of time in certain sleeping positions (back, left, right side). One thing I do not see is integration with Apple Health which is a little disappointing.

I’m a light sleeper and a side sleeper and regularly expect to have some sort of noise wake me after my nighttime playlist has cut off. Thankfully, that was not the case with the Soundcore Sleep A20 earbuds. In fact, I’ll admit to being impressed by them and I’m not easily impressed. I was able to sleep peacefully with both buds in and they stayed in all night. Most importantly, they were comfortable, and my ears weren’t sore the next morning from laying on my sides.
The A20 buds paired with my iPhone very easily right out of the box and the battery life has been surprisingly good. I’ve gotten two full nights of sleep without recharging so the claim of 14-hour battery life that the A20 claims seems to be true. And it was about a week before I charged the case itself.
It was also easy to download the Soundcore app and add the earbuds to access some additional features like the built-in alarm clock, white noise (sleep sound) library, and sleep monitoring. The alarm is really nice because with the great job the buds do with noise cancellation, I didn’t have to worry about not hearing my bedside one going off. I like how the A20 switches to sleep sound when it detects that I may have fallen asleep. Now, if I had a gripe, it would be with the small selection of sleep sounds the app offers. I’d like more of a variety of sounds to choose from, but I’m able to listen to some of my own so it’s okay.
Even though the A20s are more designed for sleep noise, the sound quality is good enough for listening to music. Not saying the audio quality is top tier for audio streaming, but it’s a clear, clean sound. Speaking of design, I love the round style of the charging case and the easy-glide way it opens! And enough caps and earwigs are included so I think it’ll be easy to make the earbuds a comfortable fit for most.
Final thoughts: The Soundcore Sleep A20 earbuds are well constructed and well designed. They provide great noise cancellation in a comfortable way for side sleepers and have good sound quality. The app is okay and simple enough to use but would be even better if there were more white noise options to choose from. For the price point, it’d be nice if they eliminated the need for me to have separate earbuds for daytime wear, but overall, they’re worth it for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Blocks out snoring!

This is not my first set of sleep buds, but this is definitely my favorite pair of sleep buds! These Soundcore sleep buds by Anker are surprisingly comfortable and block out my husband snoring when nothing else does.
The previous pair of sleep buds I had worked ok, but were incredibly uncomfortable to sleep in. The soft silicone wings on the Soundcore sleep buds by Anker are almost unnoticeable to this side sleeper. Several different sized ear tips are offered, as well as two types of ear tips sealed and breathable. I personally use the Medium sealed tips.
(One con I can say is that there isn’t any quick visible instructions for set up and letting you know that there is an app by Soundcore) Having owned a different pair of Souncore earbuds, I knew there was an app available to download. Once the sleep buds were paired to my phone, the Soundcore app recognized the Sleepbuds without any issues. In the app you can set up your preferred sleep and wake times and customize the sounds you want to hear at night. One thing that makes these better than my old pair of sleep buds, you can listen to music if you prefer when you’re going to sleep. You can also set up a customized type of sounds mixing up to 3 different sound scapes. I personally use the one set up for snoring as that is one of my biggest issues when trying to fall and stay asleep, as my wonderful spouse snores so loud!
I put the Sleepbuds in and you can double tap the right bud to start your music, or double tap the left sleepbud to switch between music mode or sleep mode. When it goes into sleep mode, your preferred sleep sounds will begin to play and continue playing throughout the night as you have set up in the Soundcore app.
These Sleepbuds by Anker are a game changer!! I cannot hear the snoring at all, I have tried so many different earplugs and sleep buds, these truly block out the noise! I didn’t even hear a loud thunder storm one night.
I charge the Sleepbuds for about 20mins each day before I go to sleep and have no issues with them saying charged and connected throughout the night. They will store up to a weeks worth of sleep data and you can view the results in the Souncore app. These have proven what I already suspected, I am a light sleeper and toss and turn a lot at night. I do like to see the data and hope in time it can help improve my sleep routine.
Kudos to Anker for making comfortable, snore blocking sleep buds! I honestly didn’t know that snoring could be blocked out while I’m sleeping!

I normally don't have trouble sleeping. I've slept through an F5 tornado before (not kidding), and most of the time I stay asleep, but when I DO have trouble going to sleep or staying asleep, it is no joke.
Let's start off with the facts that I absolutely HATE earplugs of any kind. I'm a side sleeper and they either fall out or they start hurting before I can even get to sleep, and then the pain keeps me awake. I also just can't play music or relaxing sounds in my bedroom because my wife is an incredibly light sleeper. Needless to say, a sleeping aid that I can wear all night without pain, while sleeping on my side, and giving me a ton of options for sounds, sound masking, or my own music? Sign me up!
I've used the Soundcore Sleep A20s for three nights now, and also during the day for two days, and I am really rather impressed. Once I got a good fit with bumping down the stock medium sized 'Sealed' ear-tips to the small size, I was good to go.
Once I fired up the Soundcore app and linked the earbuds, it was almost silly the amount of options that I had for sounds to load up on the earbuds. You can have four presets saved (where you don't need your phone around, and helps to save the battery), and each of those four presets can be comprised of 1-3 different sounds that you can 'mix' together and set levels for each sound, to create the sound that helps you most. You do also have the option to make them on the fly and stream them from your phone or to use them like regular earbuds and stream music from your library or a streaming service, or whatever else you like.
Here are just some quick things I really dig about the Soundcore Sleep A20s:
1. Comfortable: Don't usually like things in my ears, especially when sleeping, but these things a surprisingly soft and stay put nicely. The amount of options for the wings, and tips are outstanding.
2. Battery Life: I've used them for probably like 22 hours total so far and still haven't had to recharge the battery case yet from the initial charge. The earbuds themselves easily make it through the night.
3. Soundcore App: Easy to use and a TON of great options that all sound good and can be 'tweaked' to your hearts content.
4. Great for Meditation Too: I actually have used the A20s for meditation during the day as well and they are perfect! The 'Divine Meditation' sound is nice and relaxing.
Things that can be improved upon:
1. XS Breathable Tips: My wife tried them out and really liked them but she is tiny and doesn't like the seal of the Sealed tips (it's too much for her), but she thought the Breathable tips would be great for her if they had them at the same size as the XS Sealed ones.
2. Touch Controls: Doing the 2 or 3 taps to either earbud to do whatever you have those taps set to do in the app, is not as easy as it sounds. It takes A LOT of tries to get it right it seems. Usually it's just easier for me to bring up my phone and change the setting there.
3. Sleep Tracking: Not really sure what the value of this actually is, since it seems to just assume that when you have them in, you are sleeping, when that is not the case. My data is really wonky, especially since I am using them for meditation as well. I don't think I would base any decisions off of this data if I really needed to.
I also have an idea for Soundcore. You can have your alarm go off in your A20s so that it only wakes you up, but fortunately I'm retired so I don't have to wake up for anything! But a built in alarm that would ALWAYS wake me up (unlike an F5 tornado), is a cat puking noise. That will bring me out of a deep sleep faster than revile! I'm kinda kidding of course but I only thought of it because one of the sleep sounds you can have, is a cat drinking water. It's kinda cute.
If you've been holding off on getting something like these because you wanted to wait for some company to 'perfect' it, well, wait no more. The Soundcore Sleep A20s are an awesome tool to help you get to sleep and stay asleep while being comfortable and easy to use, all at the same time!

I'm not one of those people who wakes up from a pin drop. But sometimes my own brain just won't shut off at night, making it hard to drift off. That's why I sometimes rely on white noise and sleep ambiance to fall sleep. I used to try different headphones for this, but none were ideal. Airpods would fall out, and those big, bulky headphones are comfy but not for sleeping.
That's why I was excited to try out the Soundcore Sleep A20s. These earbuds caught my eye because they were designed specifically for sleep. They're small and lightweight, with these soft silicone wings that hold them snug in your ears. They come in a few different sizes too, and finding the right fit is how they are so comfortable and stay in place even while tossing an turning all night.
Setting them up was easy, I just opened then closed the case and my phone located them via Bluetooth. Once they were connected to my phone, I downloaded the app which let me access all of the features and white noise. The app has a huge library of white noise options, from classic rain sounds to nature ambiences and even some fan noises. Plus, there's a DIY section where you can mix and match different sounds to create your own custom sleep soundtrack. I found this feature surprisingly fun and effective – it's like having my own personal sleep sound machine.
I didn't have any trouble falling asleep, these earbuds actually worked. After I picked my white noise blend I drifted off to sleep surprisingly quickly. Even though they don't have active noise cancellation, the snug fit and the white noise itself did a great job of blocking out any distractions. Plus, the battery life is awesome – they lasted a good 14 hours, which easily covers a full night's sleep.
As a bonus, they even track your sleep. They automatically start recording data once you fall asleep, you don't need to mess with settings or open the app. The earbuds can store a week's worth of data. I am always interested in my health and fitness data, so that's been interesting to monitor.
Overall I couldn't be happier with the A20s, the build quality is fantastic, the battery life ensures that you get through a full nights sleep without interruption and it comes with its own full catalog of ambient audio so you don't have to go looking for your own. It checked all the boxes I was looking for then plus some with the additional sleep stat tracking.

I enjoyed the opportunity to try out these sleep earbuds.
Small size fits all the way into the ear canal. The size is perfect for me since they fit fully, and comfortably inside the ear. I could roll over from side to side all night without any noise or pressure on my ear from the earbuds.
Setup was easy, no app required. The instructions are sparse and graphics only, but pairing via Bluetooth made setup quick and easy. There is a myriad of ear sizing options to custom fit to the ear canal. The out of the box setup worked well for me.
Using the earbuds. It took a bit of practice to get the double or triple tap on the earbud to activate lowering or raising the volume. I was surprised these work well for music as well as noise masking.
Con: The rain effect became a bit annoying over time and I found I prefered just the noise masking feature.
Not just for sleeping at home. I am curious how well these will do on long haul flights in place of my noise cancelling earbuds. They are noise masking, so it may require playing music or the rain effect to cover the sounds of other passengers and jet engines.
Packaging is small, simple and the clever clamshell case works well once you master opening the cover.
If you are a side sleeper and live in a noisy sleeping environment, these buds are for you.

I've been using these sleep earbuds for about a week now and overall I like them, but there are some opportunities for improvements. Lets cover some of the positives first.
When you open the box, you'll see some odd shaped silicon earbud cap options. They are rather long to fit inside your ear better and to keep them in place while you sleep. They look similar to form fitted earplugs you may get at work in a factory. You find the size that fits your ear the best...this may take some trial and error until you find the right one.
After getting the right size cover put on, pairing with a phone was simple and similar to pairing any other Bluetooth earphones. When I first tried them on, running water sounds were playing. It was a calming sound, but I usually go to sleep to music so you can set that up as well.
One of my concerns with Bluetooth headsets for sleep was the comfort. I tend to sleep on my side a lot and if the earbud would put pressure on the ear, they probably wouldn't work. This was not an issue. The earbuds were comfortable laying on my side or my back. Another concern was whether they would stay in my ear with my turning from side to side. Another non-issue since they stayed in place throughout the night. The last concern I had was the battery making it through the night. This also was not an issue as the buds were still working in the morning when I got up.
You can use these buds during the day as well, but you may need to swap out the silicon caps to ones that are more comfortable for walking or running. I haven't been using them for anything but sleep since I want to make sure they are charged in the evening before bed time.
The one challenge with these (and many other earbuds) are the tap controls you need to memorize to move to the next song or switch from water sounds to Bluetooth, etc. I haven't had a set of earbuds that did this well and these fall in that camp as well. Two taps on the right bud to do something and then three on the left. Just too complicated, especially when you have to wake up to change something. I'm not saying I have a better idea on solving this, but it isn't the most straight-forward process.
Overall, I really like these sleep earbuds and would recommend them for sleeping.

An Impressive Device

When I first saw the Soundcore Sleep A20 Bluetooth Earbuds, I was instantly intrigued. My wife snores, and sometimes rather loudly. She snores loudly enough where she wakes me up from a sound sleep. I’ve been reading articles about ‘sleep divorces’, where one sleep partner spends the night in a separate room or location, but we’re hoping not to have to go that route. I sometimes slept wearing noise canceling headphones, but that has not been a practical solution as they are not comfortable to wear while sleeping. I really hoped this device would be the answer to our problem.
Upon opening the package, I was genuinely impressed with the contents. There were the earbuds, the charging/storage case and an impressive amount of accessories, including different sized ear wings, and ear tips. Soundcore went to great lengths to ensure a proper fit for everyone. Fortunately, the pre-installed ear wings and tips fit perfectly. Once I inserted them in my ears, they stayed in all night and were comfortable to wear while sleeping on my side.
The real star of these earbuds is the accompanying app. The app allows you to select, and even combine sleep sounds, including two sleep sounds dedicated to blocking out snoring. You can also select various noise settings: white noise, brown noise, pink noise, nature sounds, etc. Whichever sounds appeal to you, there are several possibilities. Can’t find one that’s quite right? The app allows you to create your own.
The app also monitors your sleep patterns and allows you to set timers to turn off the earbuds after a predetermined amount of time. The sleep timer is nice, but not when the earbuds turn off but your sleep partner does not.
In my experience, when my wife starts snoring (at what I call Level 3), she supersedes the efficacy of the earbuds. With a simple tap or two I can raise the volume of the buds. Which creates a new conundrum; now it’s the noise level of the earbuds themselves that are keeping me awake.
That brings me to another concern: I suffer from mild tinnitus, and after wearing the earbuds during the night, my ears are ringing like crazy after I take them out, even when the volume is not set very high. I think that’s a personal issue and not because of the earbuds directly.
These Soundcore A20 earbuds present an impressive package overall. I can see them being quite effective for many people. Because I suffer from mild tinnitus, unfortunately, this product is not right for me, but I highly recommend it for everyone else.
Also, if my wife reads this review, I’ll swear I didn’t write it. Sleeping on the couch would actually solve the problem, but not in a good way…

I tested the new sleep Soundcore A20 earbuds which is the successor to the A10. I've been using them for a week or so now and I'm impressed with the latest version. The buds come with an oval case, extra ear wing tips and a charging cable. The case is small and can fit almost anywhere. The matte coating on the case has caused me to drop it several times however. I'll have to see how the case holds up over time.
The buds are are held in place in the case by some really strong magnets. I really like this overall design.
At first use, I did not like the shape of the buds. They are pretty small, so people with large hands may need to get use of the feel of the buds. I left the wing tips on the buds to see how they would feel. After inserting them, and adjusting them in the ear, they fit really well without moving. I think this will be different for most as it will depend on your ear size. I was surprised with the sound of the buds but I'll get the sound down further.
Connecting the buds was simple. Just downloaded the Soundcore app, updated the software and was up in minutes. The A20 uses passive noise Isolation to block out surrounding noise. I think Anker chose this instead of active noise cancelation to save battery. With a tight seal in-ear this is fine for me. The battery life is pretty good. They lasted throughout the night easy with battery to spare.
The Soundcore app does add a host of features, nature sounds, white noise, and you can even group sound together. This helps if you have family members that snore, or terrible falling asleep. Good sound but not great. Perfect for music as a back up pair. I adjusted the tones in the EQ within the Soundcore app to make them sound a bit better.
Overall, I think the A20 would be an awesome investment for anyone who values their sleep as much as I do. While the buds aren't perfect (no built in mic for bluetooth calls), they do fit my needs. They come with great sounding buds capable of bluetooth, plus sleep sounds and a customizable EQ. I recommend trying them out like I did.

The Soundcore A20 earbuds by Anker are designed to help you sleep better with calming sounds and/or noises. The A20 earbuds offer plenty of customizability, both in terms of fit and sound options. There are plenty of different options to make the earbuds fit in someone’s ears. The ear tips are available in two styles: sealed and breathable. The sealed ear tips come in 4 sizes and offer a physical form of noise blocking. The breathable ear tips come in 3 sizes and offer no noise blocking but more airflow, so you might prefer these if you’re using them during the day and you’re frequently moving your jaw (eating or talking). I would recommend the sealed ear tips at night, if background noise is what’s causing your headaches.
I live in a neighborhood close to train tracks, that’s on the helicopter path for my local police department and I have a senior with tinnitus watching television on the second floor at two in the morning. Did I mention the random car alarms going off at 1:30 AM and the loud AC going on and off? Safe to say, I have trouble falling and staying asleep at night, because I live life on hard. I’m also a side-sleeper and can’t really sleep without sleeping on my left side. I’ve slept that way my whole life, so why change now? Luckily, the A20 earbuds are designed for side-sleepers in mind and they do feel comfortable in my ears while I’m sleeping on the side. The only issue is that the left earbud did fall out a few times while sleeping, even after adjusting to the largest sized ear tip. I also switched to the large ear wing, which seemed to keep it in place better, especially after twisting it properly (see quick guide for illustration).
The easiest way to get the most out of these earbuds is by downloading the app for your smartphone. It makes it very easy to choose settings, sounds and noises, including customizable combinations of noises and sounds. The only limitation here is that on “sleep” mode, which is required to have the noise running continuously, you can only transfer and store 4 sounds at a time. There are many options so I recommend listening to them before you go to sleep and prepare everything beforehand. My favorite is the mid frequency noise, because it makes it hard to hear the AC turning on and off, the TV upstairs and the train running by. I set the volume in the app somewhere between 20% and 30%, which is just enough to cover up the sounds without bothering me. I personally didn’t find the bonfire or rain sounds relaxing, and anything with music doesn’t block enough noise for my loud American suburb sleep environment. I do enjoy the production quality though, so I may use those in the future for a quick nap. Alternatively, you can pick and choose the noises you want to hear, and create your own noise mix. This might be your favorite choice, if the factory presets don’t do the job. There’s an option to have the noise turn off after a set period, so I set it for 2 hours, but the few times I woke up at night or in the early morning, the sound was still there, so maybe it restarts when it detects movement. The A20 earbuds do not have active noise canceling, unlike some headsets and earbuds on the market, so it relies entirely on physical noise blocking with the twin-seal ear tips and playing the noise of your choice.
The quick guide included relies on illustrations, not text, to explain how to set it up. I’m still not quite sure what it means by TWS and MONO, and it claims that I can adjust the volume by tapping 3 times, but I wasn’t successful at making those adjustments. Instead, it would switch between Music/Sleep Mode and Bluetooth Mode, which is 2 taps. The quick guide also made it confusing how to pair with a smartphone. The picture shows pairing having to do with opening the case, but it took a few tries to make my smartphone see it. There is a better manual online, if you need clearer explanations by the manufacturer.
I want to mention that when I first tested these earbuds out at 5 in the afternoon, the noise blocking and relaxing noises knocked me out for about 10 mins right away, when I didn’t intend to sleep, so yes, it works! After using the earbuds for 4 nights, I find them to be a nice addition to my beauty sleep arsenal. They’ve earned a permanent place on my nightstand, and I can’t wait to try them out while flying long distance!

I have a lot of experience with devices to aid in sleep due to room noise. After years of using a sleep mask with bluetooth speakers, I had to change to something in ear only due to CPAP headgear.
After a few months of trying both Apple and Samsung earbuds, I could never get comfortable. Especially due to sleeping on my side often.
I purchased these a few weeks ago and have used every night since. The biggest Pro is the ergonomics as they really do fit within the ear to allow side sleeping. Unlike using air/galaxy pods, they also stay in much better throughout the night. I would say 90% of nights they have been in when I woke up.
Battery life is also a pro as I have not had a night where charge was an issue at all. Most nights take 60% for about 8 hours.
The one con that prevents a full 5 star is the application. Despite my desire to use one of their sounds each night, for some reason it always wants to start on the bluetooth setting for using my phone. Also, despite quite a few available sounds, I can't figure out why you wouldn't include fan noise as one of them.
The other item with the app is that it seems only 5 alarm settings are allowed. It would seem several should be allowed with an easier method to set them.

I had the Bose Sleepbuds II which were amazing until the battery went on them Bose discontinued them. Tried the A10s and could never get the battery to last the whole night- I would do Bluetooth (because the library of sounds for sleep mode was poor quality). It seems soundcore has done an update to its firmware and the sounds that you can save are much better quality. These are so much more comfortable on my side and have not fallen out after using them almost a month. I just slept 10 hours today with still plenty of battery left.

Way better than the a10's

The biggest difference between the a10's and the a20's is the battery life. I struggled to get more than 6 hours on the a10's when in sleep mode, but the a20's easily get 10+ hours in sleep mode and 8 on Bluetooth. When sleeping on my side I do notice pressure on my ear but it never leads to any soreness, and the earbuds do a great job staying in. The only problem I have is that my right earbud's battery drains a good bit faster than the other one, but since the battery life is so good it has yet to die while I was sleeping.

Terrific earbuds! Super comfortable and they've become my go to for everything, not just sleeping. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat if I ever lost them.
Fantastic battery life.
No Active Noise Cancelling but they've got a good seal, so they have good Passive noise canceling. Not as good as earplugs obviously, but still good. I have some ANC earbuds (Beats Fit Pro) but I'll choose these Sleepbuds every time.
I like how they do sleep tracking in the app! No clue how they keep track of that data but seems pretty good. I don't have any other health / sleep trackers, so this is my first one!
One thing is that they don't have microphones, so they don't do phone calls. But not a huge deal. Just means I can't use them for zoom or discord calls, and then I'll go back to other earbuds / headphones.

Do what they need to, despite a horrible app.

My exhaustive search for a good sleep bud brought me to these. They are noise masking and not noise cancelling, first and foremost. I also had to get some different third party foam ear tips because the silicone tips they come with feel like absolutely nothing in my ears and seal off no sound at all. With the foam tips and noise masking sounds they work as intended.
By far the worst thing about these buds is the app experience. It is terrible. Unintuitive and very buggy. There are too many things I hate about the app to mention, but it's about as clumsy an app as I've ever used, and you can't listen to any sounds to pick from them unless you have the buds in your ears. You can't use your phones speaker for any of it.
All in all, these do what they need to do and are somewhat comfortable enough to sleep in with aftermarket tips (although some people are completely fine with the silicone tips).
