Tidal is great for the simple fact that it offers master quality recordings. As an audiophile that is important to me. It pairs extremely well with some good headphones. The album and song selection is also good and on par with other streaming services l. Highly recommended.

Good if you have the peripherals, but MQA is bad

Good streaming service. You can stream songs in CD Quality which as of the time of writing, isn't possible on Spotify. The recommendations are great if you're into hip-hop and pop, but otherwise its pretty weak. If you're into the social aspect of Spotify (seeing friends listening activity, shared playlists) there's always Last.fm as an alternative, but it's not a feature of the Tidal itself. If you have the peripherals to warrant caring about a cd quality vs mp3 file, I would recommend with 1 caveat. MQA, the "master" that will appear next to some tracks isn't honest, this isn't Tidal's fault per se, but tracks with this label are advertised as from the studio the artist produced the track in themselves, but it's really just a form of compression that can be very lossy and introduce distortion into a very audible range.

I have used Tidal off and on over the years, sound is superb. Works with Roon (Audiophiles) very well, Maybe even better than The Tidal APP itself. I use Tidal w/ Roon exclusively. I find it's just easier. Better Search Better New Releases Page everything is Better with Roon But w/ Tidal as the Source It Sounds Very Good.

Tidal itself is great! Music and sound quality! Just go straight thru Tidal! As soon as my trial ended i tried going into Tidal app and keep jamming. But it said expired. So okay to my knowledge its over. Opened my bank statements and saw it had been renewed... since Jun 26. BUT, i had to go back into the Best Buy website to actiavte the subscription again. I havent done that, and some how i been getting charged for it. I spent 1.5 hrs on the phone with various Best Buy associates who couldnt help me get a refund or credit for it when it is clear the music app hasnt been activated. So bottome line-- stay on top the cancelation date and GO into best buy and cancel or else you will get charged even tho your tidal says expired. Should have stayed on top checking this account... beware of your autopay! Ill do a better job checking accounts. So sad because Best Buy was my favorite store...

TIDAL HiFi Plus Delivers Unrivaled Sound Quality

I recently decided to dive into the world of high-fidelity music streaming and opted for the TIDAL - HiFi Plus, 3-Month Music Subscription from Best Buy. To say that I'm impressed would be an understatement. Sound Quality (5/5 stars): The standout feature of TIDAL's HiFi Plus subscription is undoubtedly the exceptional sound quality. As an audiophile, I was blown away by the clarity, depth, and richness of the music. The lossless audio format truly makes a difference, allowing me to hear details in my favorite tracks that I've never noticed before. From delicate instrumentals to powerful vocals, TIDAL delivers an immersive experience that's hard to beat. Music Library (5/5 stars): TIDAL's extensive music library is a treasure trove for music enthusiasts. Whether I'm in the mood for chart-topping hits or exploring niche genres, I've found everything I need and more. The curated playlists and recommendations are spot-on, introducing me to new artists and songs that align perfectly with my taste. User Interface and Experience (4/5 stars): Navigating through the TIDAL app was mostly intuitive and user-friendly. I appreciated the layout and the ease of creating and managing playlists. However, there were a few instances where I found the app to be slightly sluggish when loading larger playlists or high-resolution album art. Nonetheless, this minor inconvenience did not significantly impact my overall enjoyment. Offline Listening (5/5 stars): One of the standout features of the HiFi Plus subscription is the ability to download tracks and playlists for offline listening. This has been a game-changer during my travels or when I'm in areas with limited connectivity. The offline playback maintains the same impressive audio quality, ensuring that I never have to compromise on the listening experience. Value for Money (4/5 stars): While the TIDAL - HiFi Plus subscription comes at a premium compared to standard streaming services, the sound quality and music library justify the cost for audiophiles and music aficionados. The 3-month subscription offered through Best Buy is a great way to experience the service without committing to a longer subscription right away. In conclusion, the TIDAL - HiFi Plus, 3-Month Music Subscription has exceeded my expectations in terms of sound quality and music selection. It has redefined the way I listen to music, revealing nuances and details I never knew existed. If you're passionate about music and demand the best auditory experience, this subscription is an investment worth making.

I've been using Tidal HiFi for a few months now, and I am thoroughly impressed with the service. The audio quality is exceptional, thanks to its lossless, CD-quality sound. The difference is noticeable, especially if you have good headphones or a high-quality sound system. The library is vast and diverse, covering a wide range of genres and artists, from mainstream to indie. The curated playlists and personalized recommendations have introduced me to so much new music that I might not have discovered otherwise. Additionally, Tidal's interface is sleek and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and find what I want. I also appreciate the exclusive content, including artist interviews, music videos, and live concert streams, which add a unique touch to the experience. For true music lovers who value sound quality and want access to a wide variety of content, Tidal HiFi is definitely worth the investment.

TIDAL used to be the best music streaming app out there and then one day I found out why it was cuz Jay Z owned it If anyone doesn't know I think Jay Z is worth one point now 2.5 billion dollars He's not a stupid person by any regard eventually he sort of parsed it out that has nothing to do with the fact that this is an excellent value which I took advantage of numerous times over the course of title while Jay Z was owning it Thank you Best Buy

They don't seem to have very much dolby atmos music and the quality isn't that great when you're playing it through your TV to your soundbar. The problem with Amazon music unlimited you can only get the Dolby Atmos along with their echo studio speaker but cannot play it on my Dolby Atmos soundbar if you're paying for it you should be able to get it on any device but they do have it with some Sony products and others. I've knew about title for a while and I do like to listen to uncompressed high quality music if that's what you're looking for title would be good if you don't have Dolby Atmos.

TIDAL - HiFi Plus is a subscription service that gives you unlimited access to over 70 million songs and videos. You can listen online or offline, with high-fidelity sound quality and Dolby Atmos support. You can try it free for 3 months, and cancel anytime. I think TIDAL - HiFi Plus is a premium music experience.

Service Has Truly Evolved Over the Years

I have used Tidal off and on over the years since Jay-Z announced his ownership with the company. My initial thought was the HIFI plan was not worth the cost due to several problems with the app. Fast Forward to 2020. The app works pretty much flawless and the sound is superb. I have tried a few HIFI Music Services which included Deezer, Amazon Music HD and Qobuz and honestly, I think Tidal sounds best and the app has the least amount of problems. Speaking of the app, Tidal works with Android, IOS, Windows, Apple TV, Roku TV and Android TV. With that being said the TV apps works a bit different from mobile app. The Tidal TV app recognizes that it is being used on a television therefore the music videos are placed front and center while the music selection requires a search i.e. artist, title etc. Whereas the mobile app placed the music front and center and there is a video tab to easily access the music videos and live concerts that Tidal provides. Some may like it others may not. Personally, I do not like it, but I understand the concept. If it’s on a television, you’re more than likely prefer to watch a video. If it’s on your mobile device, you more than likely want to listen to music. Tidal offers 60 million tracks + and is available in 56 countries. If you are a person who travels frequently, I suggest you check Tidal’s official website to ensure the service will work where you travel. Regarding the cost of service. Although Best Buy is currently not offering the Family Plan it is still a lot cheaper to get the service through Best Buy at the discounted rates. At the time of this review Best Buy was offering the HIFI plan at $119.00 a year or $44.97 for three months after the three months the service is charged at $14.99 a month. Tidal does not offer yearly plans directly; however, a single HIFI subscription cost $19.99 a month or $239.88 a year. A Family HIFI Plan through Tidal is $29.99 a month or $359.88 a year. Regarding the Premium Tier which is the lesser of the two and still offer High Def. music video’s and concerts. Through Tidal the cost is $9.99 a month or $119.00 a year. Through Best Buy the service is either $79.99 a year or $29.97 for three months and $9.99 at the end of the three months. Again, Best Buy currently does not offer the Family Subscription so I suggest if it’s you and an additional individual that you purchase two subscriptions from Best Buy. You will receive two separate emails with separate access codes one in which you would use and the second for the other individual. If it’s more than two people I suggest going through Tidal directly and paying $14.99 a month for the Premium Family Plan or $29.99 a month for the HIFI Plan if that makes any sense. With Three people going through Best Buy you may save a little but with taxes you may end up paying more. Also doing it through Best Buy you can mix and match. For example if only you need the HIFI service you can get the standard service for the other member and your cost will be even lower. HIFI plans provide CD Quality and Master Quality Streaming. Premium plans provide the standard stream quality which is below CD Quality. To get the most from a HIFI plan you’ll need a good quality pair of over the ear headphones or a good home audio system to get the full affect and appreciate the sound. If you don’t have either it would be pointless to pay more for the service unless you plan on investing in the equipment. I hope this review helps with whatever decision you make. Either way you can’t go wrong. Overall, I am happier with the service than I once was.

This is the best audio quality available and the fact that you can get it for half the price vs TIDAL's website is a huge value! Also love the videos (music videos and concerts). works great in the background watching music video playlists while having company over. Sounds noticeably better than other streaming services.

The best streaming service to me is Qobuz. Tidal works nearly as good with MQA, but the pice is substantially higher than Qobuz. Sound quality: MQA is aimed at showing off to me and on a high quality gear it sound often unnatural and annoying, not smooth, if you listen for a longer duration. But I heard they are going away from MQA. Good news. Anyway, I subscribed to both and use them simultaneously via Roon. The have many records that are not available on Qobuzm which makes Tidal a very important source of HF music to me. Highly recommended!
