So before I bought this router I had the frontier router that came with frontier services and the mac speed I would get is 220 for upload and 160 for downloads but the speeds would keep dropping to under a 100 and my wifi would keep loseing service then come back on and they had replaced the router 5 or 6 times and the same exact stuff would happen everytime so I bought this router and after I set it up I only had my phone connected to it and my upload speed was 549.4 and download was 314.9 and after I connected my 30 devices to it TVs phones iPads desktop playstation xbox etc. and all my smart home and alexa devices my speeds went up my upload is now at 551.5 and download is at 495 I'm am still amazed and I have full bars everywhere in the house including out back and outfront

Excellent product. Still had to hardwire the ps5 but not the routers fault. I tested and was able to get amazing speeds. A bit overkill but we have 2 gaming pcs, cameras, Alexa’s, cellphones , tablets running all the time. Also like the app tether to control when I need to block the kids.

This is a pretty awesome router. Super fast and easy to set up. The antennas just push right onto the base. You have lots of ports. Pretty much works right out of the box. Excellent range--as good as my two-node ASUS mesh router (which I can now eliminate), now with just one TP-Link box to simplify management and blast signal through my entire house. The software control panel is quite good. They thought of some great stuff: automatically turn off the LED at night, combine and balance frequencies smartly via one SSID using both frequencies, have a hidden guest SSID and a QR code for it, to let your friends connect instantly and securely, prioritize your streaming with the QoS setting, activate intrusion prevention, get a free TP-Link DDNS URL to simplify remote connections, and use an optional phone app to monitor and manage the router. The control panel is responsive and easy to use. They even figured out that your router needs no user name because there is only one user. A couple of minor details could be better: port forwarding doesn't seem to accept port ranges; network client list cannot be exported for separate viewing; automatic detection of device brands and types could be improved; and the balance of usable space vs. wasted space on the screen is not favorable and forces too much vertical scrolling. Nonetheless, these are relatively minor limitations, considering the product's strengths. Overall, this router is the best I've ever had. You're getting a lot of managed speed, capacity, and range with this. I recommend it!

I needed to replace a well loved, but on its way out, Linksys WRT 1900AC router that Id had since 2014. It couldnt handle the limits of my 2600+ Sq Ft. 2 story house, and its 30+ client smart home anymore. I looked into several different, and almost bought, a mesh wifi system, but decided to give this a try instead as its cleaner, there wouldn't be any issues with slow down on a repeated signal from the satellites,
I set this up on the ground floor of my house in a central location, and thus far Ive been soo happy with it. I get a signal in every room of my house, my garage, and throughout most of my .5 acre surrounding yard. The router is Tri-band (2x5ghz, 1x2.4ghz) and was easy to set up. I have all bands named the same, and set it to smart switch the band it logs a particular client to based on its distance from the router and what will give it the strongest signal. (ex. My phone will automatically switch from 5ghz to 2.4ghz as I move further away from the router, to maintain a strong signal, automatically). I have fiber optic internet, and my throughput over wifi is close to 100% of what I pay for, more than double the speed I was getting with my previous router. Finally, I have had (granted the router is still brand new), zero simultaenous connection problems with the 30+ smart home/computers/phones/tablets/etc clients all connecting to the router at once. The smartphone router management app works well to boot.

Nice and powerful router but the advertised range and actual range seem to be a little off.
I bought this router to replace an older router (roughly 10 years old). My goal was to have better range and a stronger signal throughout my house.
The signal reaches the full house (and outdoors) but I had thought it would be full bars for all devices throughout our footprint (roughly a 2600 sq ft house. Unfortunately, our router is in the corner of our house - so assume that's the reason. it's not 100%. But the coverage outside our home is helpful.
Be prepared with the size of this thing too though - it's a pretty big router.
Overall - happy with it though!

My first time using a TP-Link router and it's been a good experience. The router is easy to assemble, just push the antennas in to place. Then connect by wired, wireless, or the TP-Link App. The menus are easy to navigate and find what you need. Every option you want is there. From QoS to IP assignments, etc, lots of options. You don't have to create or connect to the TP-Link cloud account if you don't want too.
I was looking to upgrade from an older router and was looking for AX. This router also has OFDMA. You can have your 2.4 and 5.0 GHz radios the same name too. But, this can cause issues with many 2.4GHz devices, especially older ones. I kept my 2.4 and 5.0 freqs with different names and had no problems. I connected an AX laptop and got the full 1GB wireless connection and high speeds with no issues. QoS for devices or types of devices is easy to setup. Assigning IPs by the router is simple to do. The router covers my whole house, I was able to drop using an extender.
The main reason I choose the TP-Link AX11000 over other routers in the same price range with the same functions was Ethernet ports. This one has 8. Others have 4 or 5. Some of us need ports and wireless isn't always the solution. So, all the features of any top of the line router, more ports, and a good interface. TP-Link has been a great experience so far. I connected their tech support for an issue (turned out not to be with the router), and it was great. They responded quickly and had people who could provide answers.

For those who suffer from dead zones and wirless connection issues and have bought several repeaters like I had, this may be your solution. I also bought the AX3000 WiFi-6 PCIe for my gaming desktop to compliment.
Let me start by saying that it's better to wire your house for desktops, laptops etc. But for smart home devices like KASA or Ring, etc, this bad boy is amazing. I went from my standard issue Spectrum Gateway/router and it could barely handle any load with all the smart devices I have in my house. With a Cat-7 cable I get insane speeds but I don't have my house wired either. So after years of dealing with speed issues I am now able to get the speed I am paying for. It's easy to configure and even has Bluetooth for next gen controllers or whatever you want to connect to it. Since it's WiFi-6 it's also ahead of the technology curve and I'm ready for the future.

I purchased the router onlione 9/7/2022. I felt it was important to have some experience with the router before writing the review. I am very pleased with both BB and the router.
I bought the router to replace an older tp-link router that had been performing quite well for me in my previous condo. I had 100 mbps internet service and the router was doing quite well. With the move to the new house I was able to get gigabit service and wanted to upgrade the router for the faster service.
Initially i had received a notification of delivery, however the router had not been deliverd to me it had been mis-delivered to a neighbor (UPS issue). When I called BB customer service they were very helpful in handling the situation and started the investigation process and were ready to send a replacement. In the meantime the neighbor had come home and brought the router to me. I notified BB and the issue was closed.
The router install and setup was very easy. Following the instructions I had it set up and running in less than an hour. It has been performing quite well over the last month.
I have the router set up high on a central shelf in the middle of my first floor (one story house ~2700 sq ft). Reception is excellent thourought the house and basement.
I have used most the defaut settings initially, just changing the SSID(s) and have not had a chance yet to tweak other settings.
Initially I had some trepidation about the single SSID and how that would work with my items that are not dual band (2.4 only).
However all but one item connected easily and without issue. The one item is my Arlo video doorbell. The issues were with the Arlo doorbell and the documentation on changing a network SSID. The process is not as straightforward as I would have thought. To change the network you need to connect to the Arlo server over the internet and perform several steps. After several attempts I decided to deinstall the doorbell, then reinstall. That finally worked. In addition using a VPN can get in the way. Those are Arlo issues however, not router issues.
For the last month the router has been working as expected. I am very pleased and would definately reccomend the router.

Working excellent. Massive improvement over the one I replaced, and it was a quality piece. I can't say there is never lag, but the system is greatly improved.
