I never leave reviews, but I'm 100% stoked and impressed with this mesh system. I just upgraded from Spectrum to AT&T Fiber with 1gig speed, and AT&T's supplied router was absolute trash (It's the BGW320 for any of you in a similar situation). I couldn't get signal in the bedroom of my 1200sqft home, and the speeds were dismal unless I was standing right next to the router. I tried a network extender, and that was also a terrible experience. It creates a separate network - even if it has the same name - so if you're in a room in between the 2 networks you'll get terrible service because the device is constantly trying to figure out which one is best - which leaves you in a dead zone. Enter this TP Link Deco Mesh system. I wanted to try a "dumb" router that just focuses on giving me internet everywhere, as fast as possible (no mics, no smart-home integration... just... internet.) This system has actually made me joyous. It was a total breeze to setup, and I have internet EVERYWHERE in my house, and super fast speeds in every room. For AT&T customers - I followed the directions on their forum about putting the BGW320 gateway into "IP Passthrough Mode", using the MAC address from the Deco and turning off the built-in wifi. I also disabled their firewall since the Deco has its own protection. (You can search 'BGW320 IP Passthrough' for the detailed instructions) The 2 mesh nodes are wireless, I don't have ethernet in my house. When using the ethernet connection on one of the wireless nodes to my iMac, I'm getting 800-900Mbps up/down. And I only have 2/3 bars on the node since it's in my detached office. In short - this mesh system has made me happy. All my devices are working perfectly, every speedtest is impressive, and I think I have finally achieved tech-zen. Very glad I didn't have to keep the AT&T supplied garbage, and relieved I don't have to think about networking for at least another few years.

This mesh system is a breeze to set up, connects quickly, and provides outstanding throughput. I love the addition of two 1 gig ports IN ADDITION to the 2.5 gig port. This helps this set with futureproofing big time. These units are shorter than the last set I got from TP-Link, which means they fit more easily in more places. I am thrilled that it also has some decent filtering and parental features, which is not something you get with Google's setup. Couldn't be happier and I would suggest these in a heartbeat. They have truly made it so there is no dead spot in my 2,400 square foot single story home, and we even have decent coverage outside, where I would always lose connection on the patio TV we have. Not anymore!

After struggling to get consistent wifi throughout my home and trying multiple mesh systems and standard wifi offerings, I found the TP Link Deco system on sale. Set up was simple, though allows for enough advanced finagling that you can set specific connection parameters for each device in your home. Went from dropping wifi altogether just a foot into my garage, to having 300MBPs in my front yard. 400 throughout most of home... I pay for the 500MBPs service and have more than 20 connected devices.

Having major problems with my internet service wasn't getting the speed that I paid for and I purchased the AC 1200 mesh system 2 years ago which was supposed to support gig internet speed. It turns out to be the wrong mesh system for the internet service that I purchased. So I ended up purchasing the AX 4300 pro. It was easy to set up and I was also able to add and keep the AC 1200 satellites. So now I have a 6 mesh satellite set up and getting over a gig Wi-Fi speed which I wasn't getting before. So this mesh setup solved my internet speed issues.

Easiest router I've ever set up. No spending hours messing with settings or figuring out issues, just works the way it's supposed to work. Bought the ceiling mount version for a second home, also excellent. App is great. Definitely going to add the outdoor unit to the system to expand the range into my backyard.

Easy install and setup. The units themselves are relatively unobtrusive. The plug not so much. But overall it’s a great set up. I really like the Deco App to monitor usage. Will be adding more to extend out to our buildings and shop.

My Current Favorite Wi-Fi 6 Mesh System

The TP-Link Deco AX4300 Pro Home Mesh Wi-Fi 6 system comes with 3 interchangeable Wi-Fi 6 nodes, 3 power adapters, a thin ethernet cable and a quick installation guide. Each node comes with two 1 Gbps ethernet ports and one 2.5 Gbps ethernet port. These ports can automatically detect whether it is operating in WAN or LAN mode. I do not have any devices that come with a 2.5 Gbps ethernet port so I was not able to test this feature but in my opinion, this is a very exciting feature and will make this mesh router more future proof compared to its competitors. The 2.5 Gbps port would be really handy to use as a wired backhaul and for hooking up a super fast NAS. Installation and set-up went extremely smoothly for me. I’ve had several other mesh systems and this was probably the easiest setup. You just download the Deco App to your phone and turn off your cable modem and swap out your old router with one of the nodes. The nodes are all interchangeable so the one you connect to your modem becomes the main router and the other nodes will act as extenders. Once I powered up my cable modem and TP-Link Deco AX4300 Pro router, the Deco App was able to detect the new router and notified me that a new firmware was available. The other nodes automatically add themselves to your network once they receive power. I didn’t have to manually set them up. This was probably the easiest and quickest installation of a 3 node mesh system I have ever had. I set up my main node in the basement along with my cable modem, another node near my TV in the living room upstairs and the third node at a 3rd level upstairs bedroom. I found the Deco App to be very well designed with a nice intuitive interface while offering access to some advanced configuration settings. The main screen presents you with an overview screen showing your network status (in the form of a globe internet icon) and your clients (they group the clients into regular clients and smart clients like Kasa Smart Plugs) Clicking on the internet globe icon, you can see all your Decos in the network. Clicking on any of the individual Deco will bring up another screen showing all the clients connected to that particular Deco along with how much bandwidth they are currently using. The Deco App also has a Location setting so you can manage networks in different locations such as your parent’s home. At the bottom of the overview screen you can access the Smart Actions screen that allows you to execute automations that you’ve created. I haven’t had time to play around with this feature and don’t really know what it is used for. The bottom of the overview screen also allows access to the Home Shield screen where you can scan your network for any threats, optimize your network, enable/disable QoS, configure Parental Controls, and view Reports on network activity and protection history. Whenever a new device is detected on your network, the Deco App alerts you with a notification. Some features (such as Real-Time Protections, Family Time, and Reports) are only available with a Home Shield Pro subscription. Finally, the bottom of the overview screen allows access to Router Settings where you can 1. Enable/Disable each individual radio band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). I don’t see the ability to assign separate SSIDs to each band but I don’t think this is a big deal anymore as current mesh systems seem to handle having the same SSID on both radio bands very well. 2. Edit the SSID and password 3. Configure network security. It supports the following 5 modes: a. WPA2-PSK [AES] b. WPA2-PSK [AES] + WPA-PSA [TKIP] c. WPA3-Personal d. WPA3-Personal + WPA2-PSK [AES] e. None 4. Create a Guest Network 5. Create a device Blacklist 6. Update your Deco firmware 7. Use WPS to connect a new client 8. Add other managers (such as family and friends) to allow them to help manage your network You also have access to more advanced configuration settings such as 1. Setting the LAN IP address from the default of 192.168.68.1 2. Setting the DHCP Server’s address range along with the primary and secondary DNS 3. Enable/disable IPTV/VLAN 4. Enable/disable MAC Cloning 5. Set up address reservations 6. Set up port forwarding 7. Enable and register DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Server). I think this is a cool free service provided by TP-Link. 8. Enable/disable UPNP 9. Set the router operating mode (Wi-Fi Router or Access Point) One thing that is appreciated is that the Deco App usually gives a small explanation alongside these settings to explain what they do. You also have access to a Web GUI but it isn’t as powerful as the Deco App. So far my experience has been extremely pleasant. I have a lot of internet devices (FitBit Aria Scale, Ooma Telephone, Honeywell Smart Thermostat, multiple Kasa Smart Plugs, multiple smart speakers, Amazon Fire TV Sticks, nVidia Shield, Apple TV, TCL Smart TV, and multiple desktop computers, laptops, and tablets) and I have not experienced any compatibility problems with any of them. Streaming to all my devices has also been problem free. Speed has also been very good. My Alienware Aurora R8 desktop using a Killer Wireless n/a/ac 1535 adapter with Qualcomm Atheros chipset reported a link speed of 866/866 Mbps. Copying 26 files of about 7 GBytes reported a transfer speed about 35 MB/s to my NAS. My Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 with an Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 chipset and located two floors above the main router reported a link speed of 2402/2402 Mbps. I think this is the highest link speed I have ever seen. Internet Speed test reports a 12 ms ping, with a download speed of 367.54 Mbps and upload speed of 3.85 Mbps. Copying a 730 MB file from my NAS downstairs to my laptop gave around 26 MB/s transfer rate. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max at my basement TV (nearest the main router) reported 224.51 Mbps internet speed. And the Fire TV Stick 4K Max at my living room TV one floor above reported 250.77 Mbps internet speed. My CoolPad Legacy Android phone reports a link speed of 433 Mbps and Wi-Fi Speed Test reports an actual Wi-Fi speed of 240.87 Mbps with an Internet download speed of 32.28 Mbps and an upload speed of 7.93 Mbps. My Fire HD 10 tablet reported a link speed of 433 Mbps and Wi-Fi Speed Test reports an actual Wi-Fi speed of 267.17 Mbps with an internet download speed of 113.53 Mbps and an upload speed of 9.01 Mbps. Overall speed throughout my 3 level 1400 square foot townhouse has been excellent. All my devices have good and stable link and connection speeds. Range, coverage and signal strength has also been excellent. I have not experienced any drop-outs or disconnections. So far, the TP-Link Deco AX4300 Pro has been rock solid, displayed excellent compatibility with all my internet devices, and provided good and stable speed, range and signal strength throughout my house. Set-up and installation was the fastest and easiest of all the routers I’ve used in the past. It’s currently my favorite router of all time. I can definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new router.

Outstanding WiFi 6 Mesh System For Larger Homes

Truly Amazing WiFi6 Mesh System. We have a relatively larger house with just shy of 5700 square feet. There is about 2700 sq ft on main level, the second floor is about 1500 sq ft, and the basement is also about 1500 sq ft. We also have an attached 650 square foot attached garage and a 1400 square foot pool that is enclosed with an aluminum frame and wire screen. Not the friendliest RF environment. To exacerbate the RF difficulty, the exterior of the house is full brick [not facade] and the bricks are 15" X 3.5" X 3.5". We currently have an 802.11ac [WiFi 5] three-node mesh system. While the coverage is decent for the most part, the WiFi Nest doorbell and the Google Nest Spotlight cam at the garage is spotty at best. Lucky to get 7 to 12 Mbps there. Not enough for reliable video. Additionally, the coverage in the pool was adequate at best. We could get 15 to 25 Mbps in there. Enough to stream video, but roght on the edge. Now lets rollout this AX4300 WiFi 6 system. In the box you have the three [3] Deco X4300 units, three power supplies, flat ethernet cable and basic documentation. Packaging is exactly what you would expect. Everything was well secured but still easy to get to. Each unit has one [1] 2.5 Gbps port and two [2] 1 Gbps ports. Very nice. As for set-up, it was very simple. Download the app, choose your TP-Link device and move to next step. One minor frustration is that while this mesh system is marketed as the AX4300, but the individual nodes [and as listed in the set-up app] are shown as X4300. Like I said, minor annoyance but just an FYI. I chose the X4300 on the first unit and after plugging it in, set-up took maybe 3 to 4 minutes after entering my WiFi info and firmware upgrade. Setting up the other 2 was equally easy but they seemed to take maybe 4 to 5 minutes with firmware updates. Once I had all three units powered, I left the first on in my office where the 1 Gbps fiber port enters my home. My office is on the main level, for north end of house. I set the second unit up in my wife's office. It is essentially in dead-middle of home and near the staircases going both up and down. I place the third unit on the second floor, far south. This would provide great coverage upstairs and I hoped would provide the sorely needed coverage out to the garage Nest Camera products. Boy did it ever! After everything was up, I ran speed tests and I was blown away. I knew that WiFi 6 was designed for high efficiency and making better use of the FCC approved RF spectrums, but I was amazed at how well it did. I used a Samsung S22 Ultra to test and the results were incredible. As you can see from the pictures, in my office [where the 1 GBPS fiber enters home] I was getting steady wireless speeds of 840 Mbps. In my wife's office [second farthest from main node] I was getting steady 770 Mbps and in the upper level, farthest from main node I was still getting an outstanding 660 Mbps. Where the garage camera's were and previously getting 7 to12 Mbps, I was now getting a stunning 85 Mbps. Just a huge difference. And finally in the pool room where we were previously getting 15 to 25 Mbps we were now getting an amazing 150 Mbps. Outstanding. As for the app, it's clean and light but not necessarily robust, especially for those techies amongst us. It gives you basic information that most home users should be OK with. All in all, and EXCELLENT WiFi 6 Mesh system, especially for larger homes. I would recommend to a friend. Great choice!

The Deco AX4300 Pro whole home mesh wifi 6 system is superb. With claimed coverage of up to 7000 square feet, 2.5G multi-gig internet speeds, tp link's great application support, and ease of setup and use - this makes it so easy to recommend to anyone looking for a new wifi network setup. First, some background information on my home that contributed to my testing. I have about 2,262 square feet of living space between 2 floors and a basement. My home sits on a 0.23 acre lot. I have wired ethernet setup throughout my home. My internet provider is Comcast Xfinity and I have the Gigabit Extra Plan (Download speeds: up to 1200 Mbps/Upload speeds: up to 35 Mbps) and an Arris Surfboard 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem - (SB8200). Installation - Very Easy! Right out of the box you can easily grab the 3 routers and power cables to hook up. Download the Deco app from your app store and login. Instructions on the app are easy to follow for setup. I had no issues throughout the installation process. Getting notified once you connect a device to your network is great so that you know can rename devices as you go along adding to your network. Who is this for? - Honestly, anyone. May be best for a large enough home that may have dead spots. Do you have any smart home devices? You can add over 150 devices to your network with this system. Are you looking for the best wifi 6 speeds? Claimed speeds of up to 4300Mbps is here. I have to give this system high praise because my last system was giving my smart home devices issues. Whether it was disconnecting my smart things cameras (even though it showed connected to network) or just not properly administering the seamless transition when roaming from one unit to the other. The app is what you will interact with the most and it is very simple to use and manage your wifi network.

This TP-Link Deco Mesh System is my 3rd Wi-Fi router in the past year, and this one blows away every router I've had before. First though we need to talk about the setup. The main router takes the longest to get going but it's pretty straightforward and simple, especially with the use of the app. Basically connect it to a modem, plug it in, wait for it to start up, connect with the app using local wi-fi, set up your network and let it update. Once the main router is done, setting up the extra nodes couldn't be easier. Literally all you have to do is place it where you want it, plug it in and wait. That's it. It'll automatically set itself up and become part of the network. Then it'll probably have you update it like it did the main router. With the system set up it was time to test out the speeds. In the same room as the main router it outperformed my previous mesh router, which was just released this year so still latest tech. Whereas my previous router got 566 Mbps down, this TP-Link got 661 down! That's a significant jump. Where this system really shines though is in its reach, even without the extra mesh nodes. Where my office is inside my home, my previous routers, before I added any mesh nodes, didn't get the best signal from the main router. My last router, which got 566 down in the same room, could only give me 80 down to my office. This TP-Link though, again before adding any mesh nodes, gave me 379 down! I almost didn't even need to add a node for that corner of the house. This type of reach also makes the mesh nodes work even better. With my previous system, to get a good extended signal you'd have to place it in the perfect spot, which isn't easy for me given the layout of my home. Even with the extender, my office could only get up to 135 down with that system. This TP-Link though, with the mesh node in the same spot I had my previous, I was able to achieve over 410 Mbps down! All these numbers managed to remain consistent too even after adding numerous other devices. Currently there 2 dozen devices on my network including multiple computers, tvs, smart vac, smart thermostat, alexa, and other smart devices. All of these devices have no issues staying connected from the doorbell cam at the very front of my house to the floodlight cam at the very back of my house, even while both my wife and I are working from home and my daughter is streaming videos while on summer break. In addition to the hardware though, you have to be able to manage your network, and that's where the app comes into play. The app has a very simple layout making it easy to use, but still giving you a lot of control. The styling could use some work though as it looks a bit amateurish. That's not to say it doesn't function well though. Besides giving you control over your router, its settings, and your network overall, it also provides security info with weekly reports and notifications anytime something new connects to your network. I also like the fact that it shows data usage in real-time for each device on the main screen that shows all of the connected devices. In addition to managing the network itself, you can create profiles for the people in your house and assign devices to them. Go into the HomeShield tab and you have parental control that allows you to filter content or block specified websites to any devices assigned to them. It'll even show you the most visited and blocked sites. This is especially great during school breaks when the younger ones are home all day. While you do get a lot of functionality free with HomeShield, not all of it is. Some features as well as the ability to have more granular control requires a subscription to HomeShield Pro, which I can't say I'm a fan of as we already get nickle and dimed to death these days with subscriptions. Luckily that subscription service is more of a nice to have than a necessity. With that aside the hardware itself is hands down the best performing router and mesh system I've had to date. Now the only issues I have to worry about as far as home Wi-Fi is the ISP. Outside of that I feel confident in the ability to add more devices as my home gets smarter without sacrificing bandwidth.

I currently have a 1st generation mesh system of another brand that I have used for the past few years & have been mostly happy so I was eagerly awaiting the new DECO AX4300 to arrive & see what the latest WiFi6 mesh system has to offer. I would soon realize there was a big difference and I was extremely happy because the few little things that have annoyed me do not seem to ever happen with the new AX4300. I can now be connected while I am cutting grass then walk inside to the opposite side of my home straight upstairs and never once have a single interruption in my wifi and have seamless streaming which I could never do before. The system comes with three individual mesh units that have 2.5G ethernet jacks, you simply plug each one in and space them equally throughout your home. You will need to download the app for setup which is fairly quick & straightforward. From here you can name your 5g & 2.4g signals as you please and link your three units together, which can also be hardwired together if you choose. I currently have a 1 gig fiber plan from my ISP and this system will let you take full advantage of that signal. It appears to teach itself over time which devices work best on each respective bands and will prioritize accordingly. I have not had a single lapse in signal on any device or experienced a single second of buffering since installing. I also like the size of each unit because they are small enough to be inconspicuous. I am extremely pleased & would recommend to anyone.

To be honest this was my first time trying out a TP-Link router and I was a bit nervous about what kind of speeds and range I would get out this unit and frankly, I am impressed. This is almost the perfect WIFI 6 mesh setup for any home. So, let’s go over the some of the good, bad and ugly of the new TP-Link Deco AX4300. Unboxing and Setup: The AX4300 comes with three units. There is no designated router or satellites so any unit can be used to start setting up your internet. The units are low profile and measure about 4.5 in. tall and 4.25 in. in diameter. Each unit has one multi-gig (2.5 Gbps) and two 1 gig ports. The setup process is probably the simplest I have seen so far. You will need to download the “DECO” app and create an account, unplug your modem, plug in the first DECO and plug everything back in. Once your first unit is detected the app will have you setup your WIFI and the password. After that you can plug in your satellite units at your desired locations and they are picked up automatically. Your WIFI 6 mesh setup is ready to go. This mesh setup can easily handle up to 150 devices. I have about 63 devices connected so there was no issue there and all were able to connect immediately. This is a WIFI 6 mesh router. WIFI 6 provides the fastest real-world speeds and range. WIFI 6 increases the number of streams to 12 from 8 on WIFI 5 or regular WIFI. Speeds and Range: I subscribe to 1.2 Gbps from my ISP, so this is where the multi-gig ports came in handy. I was able to connect my multi-gig modem to the router and take advantage of the full download speeds that I was paying for. I did notice that my download speeds were coming in at about 1300 to 1400 MBPS, not bad at all. The unit also supports QOS (Quality of Service), meaning if you want a particular device to be given preference during congestion, that can be setup as well. I did notice that the speeds provided by this mesh unit compared to my previous router were better. The seamless mesh WIFI setup with the satellites provide incredible range of coverage. There was a dead spot in my garage with my previous router which is no longer an issue with the DECO. The DECO AX4300 provides up to 7,000 sq. ft. of coverage. Standing at the furthest point of my driveway which is about 50 feet from one of the satellites I was able to get a signal and that is pretty impressive, because I had issues getting a good signal with my previous router even in my garage being 20 feet from the router. PROS: MULTI-GIG PORT WIFI 6 – FASTER SPEEDS ON NEWER DEVICES RANGE 3 UNITS - 1 ROUTER AND 2 SATELLITES WIFI SPEED UP TO 150 DEVICES CONS: NOT ENOUGH PORTS NOT A FAN OF THE “DECO” APP OR THEIR WEB GUI – THE APPLICATION AND THE WEB GUI NEED A BIT OF GETTING USED TO. PLUS, THEY DON’T OFFER MUCH IN CUSTOMIZATION OPTION AND COULD USE SOME IMPROVEMENTS. Overall, this is a solid mesh setup that provides you with speed and range at a reasonable price. The system is easy to setup and user friendly, so set up and forget. I would recommend this router for people who are really not that tech savvy and want a good reliable mesh WIFI network and not looking to customize their network too much.

I had to take back an eero 6e pro due to malfunction, and decided to get this TP link AX4300. So, for a simple small family, this matches the eero pro 6e speed, has not reset or had a glitch in 24 hours. Yeah, I saw it was dual band, but saw a deal and decide to price match. BestBuy store did come down in price (but not quite price match--- BUMMER). If you do want a best buy match deal on this then find the other stores price and order online with the best buy chat agent helping you through the process to make the order. It is convoluted . So, at the router about 940mbps. My room with another node goes between 450kbps up to 720kbps upload and download. Upload is a bit faster, but not by much. When the wife is on her phone it drags the speed down by 6%. There are about 7 devices on the network. The router is in the back of the 2500 sqft house, and works about 80 feet from the garage outside. The weakest signal inside the house is 210kbps. No dead spots detected. All except the Samsung tvs connected. had to go and reconnect them manually. No reports with iphone problems with the wife, and my Samsung phone works great. So, the app is much better than eero. I can reassign some of the connections to the other deco ax4300 unit manually using the app. I also switched the speed of the laptop from the 2.4mbps to the 5mbps with the app. I still have to learn more about renaming the deco nodes. For setup, you must PLUG IN ALL units prior to initial setup, otherwise the naming convention is not allowed. This put me in a little bind during setup, but still managed to get it setup. Also note, i have not tried the 2.5gbps port. I will try later just to see if it works with the 1gps internet service provider speed.

If you are only interested in getting internet with visibility throughout your house and you don’t mind paying a bit for an easy to use reporting system, this set is for you. Also, if you need coverage this is by far the best mesh system I have used, I have coverage down the street with just two of these, every other system I have needed three to get all the dead spots but just two of these cover every square inch of my house. Setting up the device is simple; you can plug in your ethernet cable from your modem (this isn’t a modem just a router/switch/wireless access point system) to any of the ports on the back of any of the three towers. Then the app guides you through setting it up, this guide is assuming you already have your modem up and running. The basics is unplugging the power to the modem, then plug in the Ethernet cable and start up the modem and first tower. It takes a few minutes and starts working. If you are planning on renaming your SSID to the same as your old system, make sure you completely disable your old system as it won’t let you set it the SSID to one that is already seen by it. There is no ‘2.4G’ and ‘5G’ networks, it auto detects and creates the type of connection that is supported if you’re coming for an older system. Also, 5G in this case is not cellular 5G it’s just a different Wi-Fi range has more channels available, usually your phones and higher speed devices will sit on 5G while IoT devices tend to only support ‘2.4G’. Now to the usability of the system. I have found it mixed. It just works most of the time. Now I did rename the network the same as my old so that may be part of the problem, but other systems allowed me to “refresh a network connection” which fixed any connectivity issues. This one, there is no option, so I ended up just deleting the device and then it popped back up and hasn’t been a problem since. So, in the end that is basically the same thing, but a ‘refresh’ button is not quite as scary as a ‘delete’ button in my mind. If you want any real usability like getting reports, you will need to pay which is $55 a year. For that you do get an extremely robust easy to use control and monitoring system for kids. Without paying there are some simple controls still available like labeling devices by person and then turning off and on internet for them as well as blacklisting sites. There are a few advanced features like DDNS and port forwarding but for the most part if you are looking for a highly customizable router, this might not be the one for you. One feature that my old router had that I loved that this one is missing is a ‘teleport’ mode that enabled me to make my phone or tablet appear to be in my home from anywhere. This enabled me to use my cable app from anywhere. I can get the same thing working with this, but it isn’t the click of a button to do it. While the OS is made for someone that isn’t too savvy with networking the physical ethernet ports are extremely convenient. I love that each device enables me to extend my LAN ports. I have a few devices that need to be plugged in and I had them all crammed in one cabinet and not necessarily in the best place, but with these I can put the wi-fi tower where I want the device and I am good to go. Overall, this is a great way to get internet available everywhere in the house.

I have Spectrum for my home internet and the router provided by them is fine for streaming and regular use but for my fellow gamers who enjoy a smooth online gameplay experience SPECTRUM ROUTER IS DOG WATER , i always lagged online and never enjoyed playing online games because of how the internet would perform on my PS5 , so i finally had enough and purchased this Deco wifi mesh setup recommended by a bestbuy employee who had this same setup and i must say i am impressed to say the least its as if the WIFI gods have blessed me. The setup isnt as bad as you think its straight forward just download the app and follow the steps and youre good to go no need to overthink anything at all i now have a router in the main living room with the modem and a router in my room for the ps5 and a router in a extra bedroom on my router for my gaming i have it wirh ethernet because why not. Needless to say GET THIS if you have the $ for it im sure the lower end models of this brand do the same thing too but as of now it is worth it

Most households these days have a couple dozen products connected to the Wi-Fi. So when you decide to upgrade your Wi-Fi system, it can be a monumental undertaking and disruption of service. You literally have to remember every unit connected and try to reset the domain and password which, for some products, requiring you to remove and add it again forcing you to go through the sometimes grueling processes and quirks. Not something you want to be doing that often. Fortunately, TP link made setup a breeze with the Deco Wi-Fi 6 system. All I had to do was download the Deco app to my phone and follow the onscreen prompts to setup the first hub. I had to reinitialize the Docsis modem before I plugged in the hub in order for it to enable the internet connection otherwise it would connect but get no access. I then was able to plug in the 2 satellites that were actually hubs themselves, each with 2x1Gbps ports and one 2.5Gbps port for future internet speeds and/or current intranet speeds. What I found odd was that the satellites didn't need to be named like my old system. In fact, I wasn't sure they were connected at all until the app notified me the 2 satellites were connected and the green lights went on at the bottom of each unit. As far as connecting all the devices and appliances in the house, that was immensely time consuming and unfortunately, I'm having trouble connecting products that need a 2.4Ghz network and are seeing it as 5Ghz, even though it switches automatically. To remedy this, I've decided to set up a guest connection as 2.4Ghz only and I'll try using that to facilitate acceptance of the remaining devices. The app is useful in setting up the kids devices and keeping tabs on their activities and screen time. I can get notifications if a new device is added to the system and choose whether to allow or reject them. Homeshield allows me to scan the network for threats or intrusions, schedule down time and a few other features like prioritizing devices so the ones that need dedicated speed can get it more easily. There's even a Homeshield Pro upgrade service that protects you and your information from outside threats. I think this system is quite comprehensive for up to a 7000sft space and you can add up to 150 satellites exponentially increasing that space. It substantially increased my Wi-Fi speeds throughout the house from 366Mbps max to 872Mbps of internet download speed. Actual intranet connection previously maxed out at 866Mbps and now reaches 1440Mbps. I think the only thing that could make this better would be to make it easy to connect devices all together in one fell swoop thus eliminating the tedious reacquisition process.I f you're going to go through this process, the least you can do is get something that hugely ups your gaming speed. The Deco AX4300 from TP-Link will get it done.
