Unforgiven is one of best westerns of all time. Clint Eastwood made an instant classic when he directed & starred in Unforgiven. Now able to watch it all these years later in stunning 4K with HDR is the icing on the cake. Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven. ‘Nuff Said.

I want to start by saying Intrulybenjoy a good western film. Mr. Eastwooodbdoes an excellent job of portraying an old gunslinger who settled down to raise his family as a farmer only to be dragged back into the game by circumstances beyond his control. A lovable bad guy turned good back to bad. Marvelous screenplay. The build up to the action is Inevitable. Characters are believable and you finish the movie glad to have seen it.

Starting as he wrestles a pig on his farm( how desperate life has become). The director pulls the audience into the file. It is his' image of the west in the later -1800s. All of our characters change. Fed up with "old way", one man leaves only to be dragged back into the plot. The young bragging cowboy is discussed with the taste of killing. Will finds himself at the bottom of a bottle. It is the "only way he knows how" to finish the job.

This film returns Clint Eastwood to his Western days. This film must be taken as a thriller, in the way that is slow and finally culminates in an epic finale. If you enjoy westerns, thrillers, and another perspective at the usual western genre, then this is a must-watch

Great picture excellent sound better than I've heard in my entire life especially when I saw it in the theater with my dad

Loved Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman, Richard Harris and Clint Eastwood in this great western. Great, gripping western.

I know saying Unforgiven being Clint Eastwoods best film is saying a lot. Because there are sooooo many great movies that he has made and produced. Yet Unforgiven is still the one I’ve rewatched and analyzed the most of all. Its just such a good movie, no matter if you are into Westerns or not. The story and acting is so darn good! I’ll just say that I truly love this movie and it is a classic and I dont think it will ever be too old for any generation of movie enthusiasts. Its just one you must watch at least once and then dwell in your feelings and emotions after the credits roll.

The film won four Academy Awards: Best Picture and Best Director for Clint Eastwood, Best Supporting Actor for Gene Hackman, and Best Film Editing for editor Joel Cox. Eastwood was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance, but he lost to Al Pacino for Scent of a Woman. The film was the third Western to win the Oscar for Best Picture,[4] following Cimarron (1931) and Dances with Wolves (1990). Eastwood dedicated the film to directors and mentors Sergio Leone and Don Siegel. In 2004, Unforgiven was added to the United States National Film Registry of the Library of Congress as being deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

I never had this movie in my Clint Eastwood collection, so when I saw this one made available on 4K HDR, I had to get it no matter what. And am I glad I did! Clint Eastwood does his role awesomely well, complemented by truly amazing video quality, though, not a lot of content available that would showcase HDR, which is fine. After all, it's a movie from 1992 with plenty of scenes played in the dark! As for audio, wow, there are like 15 or so different languages to select from including matching subtitles. DTS HD MA 5.1 (English) is the maximum sound offered, which worked for me just fine as I don't have an Atmos setup in my house. Overall: Highly recommended if you are a Western fan. A must-have for Clint Eastwood fans!

I am happy to have this Clint Eastwood movie, Unforgiven, added to my movie collection. At the time of purchase, it was a lower price on 4K/BD versus BluRay here at Best Buy. It was a very good deal at the time.

OK, have not seen this movie in probably 25 years. I gotta' admit, I had forgotten how good it was. The 4k was great, they did a good job enhancing it. I do wish it was DolbyVision but even so, it is well worth the trip down memory lane to revisit an excellent movie.

Grwat movie and great video and audio transfer. The 4K UHD with HDR is the best the movie has ever looked.

One of the great westerns with Clint Eastwood! Best Picture says it all!

It stars Clint Eastwood, that makes it watchable just because of that, this is not a fast paced movie, it is a cowboy being drug back into a past that he escaped when he met a woman and married her, but she died and now he is struggling with two children. I won't go any further as it would ruin the plot and substance of this movie.

This is my favorite western movie of all time. Eastwood & Freeman played great roles. It has a lot of action, but also has a great story line. It's a long movie, so make sure u have the time to view it all in one sitting.

Never saw the film, but was recommended to purchase the film from a friend. The movie again wasn’t for me, a purchase for my mother, but the reviews for this movie said it was good. I can’t give any reviews on it myself lol.
