A: AnswerThe chair tilts back and you can adjust the tension on the tilt. It does not stay reclined like a recliner would, but comes back up when you sit up. Also you can lock it in upright position. It swivels smoothly. So about the finish... it does not smell strongly like leather, but is supple like a softer leather... here is why; it is a leather composite: "Bonded leather, also called reconstituted leather or blended leather, is a term used for a manufactured upholstery material which contains animal hide. It is made as a layered structure of a fiber or paper backer covered with a layer of shredded leather fibers mixed with a polyurethane binder that is embossed with a leather-like texture," according to internet source. So you get a higher end affordable finish without the leather price tag. If you want leather, the best is full grain or top grain and you can find a desk chair for about $1200 and up. Easyt assembly, but not a big & Tall nor high-back
Extremely easy to put together. Fabric is comfortable. and feels very solid. If I had any argument about it, it is that is not a big chair. Nor is it truly a high -back. So if you want a big and tall chair , even if you are shorter (I like to cross my legs in a chair), then this may not be what you want. I will kept if for my clients to sit in.

Comfortable, Easy
I received Gray Hannah II 5-pointed Star Bonded Leather Executive Chair. I was struck by it having high quality screws and metal nuts and hardware. The base has good weight to it, not flimsy. I put it together alone. Only challenge was putting last piece, (back) on. Good design makes it tight fit, but better if a second person holds it in place while screws put in. I does not smell like leather and has look and smell of vinyl up close, but not a cheesy look. (is that what 'bonded leather' is?) But I am happy because from a distance looks like a high end chair: Lots of stitching and nice detail. It is rated for 275 lbs. I am very comfortable at under 200 lbs and like the lumbar support. It also adjusts height, adjusts no tilt vs tilt (can lock upright), and adjusts tension on tilt. It is for using at a desk for long hours at computer- perfect for me. I am happy at quality and comfort for the $148 price. I would buy it again.

Quite Comfortable
Quite Comfortable not as soft as I thought but quite happy and at least it won't shed everywhere like my last chair.
