Q: QuestionWhere's the 256mb cache memory version or aren't you selling those? If not, why not?(0 answers)

- A: AnswerIf you check the net and the WD web site this is only 128MB cache; not a 256MB cache for the 8TB model. If you want 256MB cache; then you need to order the 10TB model.

Q: QuestionIs this compatible with Alienware Aurora R12?(1 answer)
A: AnswerI have an R9, and I'm pretty sure they're the same ugly metal on the inside. There should be at least one 3.5" caddy near the top with blue plastic grips to pull it out. Mine was already occupied so I had to replace the one that was there. You can always get a USB 3 to HDD adapter, but you will need a separate power source for anything other than an SSD.Answered by SamuelG

Q: QuestionWill this work a PS5?(3 answers)
A: AnswerYes and No only way this would work for a PS5 is if the drive was in a external drive case that could connect to the console via usb and even then all it could be used for is to hold the games that isn't able to fit on the internal storage of the PS5.Answered by Corb91

Solid drive for the price.
Purchased to replace an older 1 TB HDD drive, runs faster then the older drive, and stays mostly quiet. My only complaint is there is a mild clicking (like a soft thump sound) from the drive however this is not a malfunction but a feature of the drive that prevents excessive wearing on the drive.

Great hard drive with fast read\write speeds
Solid hard drive with great speed and lots of room to store music and video files. I highly recommend this hard drive.

Highly Recommend.
Night and Day. Had a 4TB WD Black - slow, noisy. This 8TB WD Black - fast read/write, silent. The only negative, a small one, is the drive seems to park too soon after a period of no read/writes. But, once it spins up it is off to the races - soundlessly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
