QuestionWhat happens if I order the basic tv mounting service and the geek squad technician arrives but I decide to have him mount it over the fireplace? Can I pay him more $ right then or would I have to reschedule? Would he come prepared for any job?

- Answer The Geek Squad comes prepared for the job you book them for. So, if you know you are going to want your tv mounted over the fireplace, book your appointment that way. It will save you time and frustration. They mounted my tv over a fireplace that my contractor said was too hard to do. I hope this helps.

QuestionWe have an accent wall where barnwood is glued on plywood. There is a thin electric fireplace only a few inches above the floor and we had it put there mostly for the looks. Why do you have this extra charge when really no masonry involved?

QuestionHello, My girlfriend and I recently bought a new home and we are looking to get 1-2 TVs mounted (55'' and 45''). The 55'' will need to go on a brick fireplace (painted over), and the 45'' may need to as well. How much would that cost?

We'd recommend if you're doing both TV's to look into Total Tech Support to help you out with these costs. This will reduce the cost of a TV Connect and Mounting service, for example, from $149-$199 to a flat $49. To get you an accurate estimate though, we'd need to know a little more about the work. - Answer A mantle or shelf is only needed if you want to put a sound bar under the TV. If it’s just the TV then you don’t need a mantle.

- Answer Hey I think it does require over the fireplace. They told me no but when they came out the guy had a tantrum that it was not checked yes and left and never came back. I’m still trying to get a refund a month later. I would not use Geek Squad again.
