QuestionCan this be used for PS4 and Xbox One consoles and a regular Sharp TV? I'm thinking about leaving both of my consoles connected to this device. And, of course, I'll only have one of them on and the other one off. But, my TV will be on as well.

- Answer Protection wise, I think you would be fine but in the event of a power outage, you won't get much time. With two items plugged in, maybe 30 minutes tops from my experience.

- Answer Just plug devices you want on battery backup into the outlets marked battery + surge. there are also surge only outlets.

- Answer If you are talking about cell phones, then yes. But you will have to have the ability to plug this in to an AC source after several hours of use. While the cell charger won't draw much power, the inverter (12v battery to 120V AC) does also use power. Best if you power down when not needed to recharge your phone(s).

QuestionHi, I was going to use the online Trade-in program through your website but the products are actually more expensive (for example this model shows as $76). That doesn't make any sense. You're getting my old UPC and I have to pay more than here?

- Answer You are correct I found out the same thing and ended up making my purchase from best buy. I will recycle the old APC unit. The newer unit is energy saver and weighs 1/4 of the weight than the old unit.

- Answer If you are looking at both surge protection and the ability to run during power failures, this should work. The igniter should be piezo, which draws very little power.

QuestionI have a takagi propane ondemand water heater with electronic ignition. Would this devise power that ignition? If so, for how long? ( once initial ignition is ignited, it also controls the temperature)

- Answer I'm sure it can, but the question would be for how long. This unit is on the smaller size and I'm not sure of the power draw of your particular television. That said, how much time would you need to keep your television on during a power outage? Will you be plugging in other devices such as a DVD player? All power drawing devices would need to be in the draw calculation to determine how long the battery will last under load.

- Answer The UPS software estimates that it would power my computer (consuming 82 watts) for about 28 minutes. Based on that, it should be able to power a 60-watt light for a maximum of around 38 minutes. It does not need to be plugged in to function as a portable power source - after all, it's made to provide power when the electricity goes out.

- Answer It depends on the power draw of the lights (LED vs Incandescent). I can share that the unit remained up and operational for over 1 hour with a router, modem, and switch connected. Funny, I had not thought Christmas lights important enough to have battery backup. If you're thinking to charge it and then run the lights unplugged, outdoors on battery, then be careful. This unit is not meant to be outside.

- Answer No. Having a family member that uses CPAP, you need to have an inverter to not blow up your CPAP machine. We purchased the inverter from an online CPAP store and a large rechargeable portable battery ($500 about 8 years ago) to use it during camping. I believe this battery backup is great for you to allow clocks to maintain time, save documents on your computer prior to shutting them down and for power surges etc. I do not believe this is a long term supply of power type of thing. It could charge your cell phone but nothing bigger. Do your research for your CPAP health.

QuestionI have it on my houseboat because when the boat is running on my inverter the fridge would pull to much power on it's start up and shut my LED tv off. Now with this back up device it does not do that anymore but the back up device makes a continuous click

- Answer When the fridge is kicking in it likely is triggering the battery backup. So it's working as designed.. I noticed the same when I had a power drill on the same circuit and it would click when I ran the drill. Should be okay but may also not be fully charging the battery.

- Answer I can't explain the wacky numbers, but the reality is that once there is a power outage the more things you have plugged into it the shorter the amount of time it lasts. The power draw of each item affects the timing as well. If you have one laptop plugged into it and you have a power outage, then you have at least 10 minutes to shut everything down. This unit is not intended for extended use during a power outage. It is intended to give you time to shut everything down safely to avoid data loss. It also protects against power surges. Hope this helps.

- Answer pull harder and wiggle back and forth as you do it. if not work, unplug it and turn it over and take out the battery, then use a strong flat tool like heavy knife or screwdriver to wedge underneath it to pry out around the all the edges

QuestionI received this item with an extra round white tag marked Rin1529 and there was a quality assurance test taped to the UPS case. The box was sealed with clear sealing tape. Is this a refurbished item?
