  • QuestionCan you use electric blanket, if so for how long? Can you plug in very small freezer??

    Asked by Patty.

    • Answer Dear Customer, Thanks for reaching out to us regarding this question. There are different running watts of an electric blanket in different heat settings. As long as the running watts of the current heat setting of your electric blankets is less than 200W, the Explorer 290 can run it. As for the run-time, you can calculate it roughly via the formula of 290Wh* 0.8(inverter power loss) / running watts of your device. Here is a set of data for your reference: The Sunbeam Electric Blanket with 3 heat settings: 1.115 watts (the running wattage of Low heat setting), the Explorer 290 can run it around 2 hours. 2.135 watts (the running wattage of Medium heat setting), the Explorer 290 can run it around 1.7 hours. 3.170 watts (the running wattage of High heat setting), the Explorer 290 can run it around 1.36 hours. This Explorer 290 can run a 7 cu. ft small freezer whose running wattage is 165W for around 1.4 hours. Should you have other questions or concerns, feel free to contact our customer service. • QuestionOnce fully charged, how long can the Jackery Explorer 290 generator be expected to hold a charge with NO load? (Or more generally, at what rate will the internal battery drain on its own?)

    Asked by PleasureTrip.

    • Answer Dear Customer, Thanks for reaching out to us regarding this question. Although the self-discharge rate of lithium batteries is 3% to 5% per month in theory, according to the real feedback of our customers, the Explorer 290 still has close to 95% power after 3-4 months once it is fully charged and with no loading. The feature of stable and high-quality usage is the reason why Jackery's loyal fans trust us. Should you have other questions or concerns, feel free to contact our customer service. • QuestionI live in a house and need at least 4000 watts. Will this suffice?

  • QuestionCould this run a CPAP machine throughout the night?

    Asked by Serena.

    • Answer This will run a cpap but it would depend on your model and settings as humidifier etc can draw more power. I have The ResMed AirSense 10, i have used this and got between 6 and 7 hours on it with like 30 to 40 percent power left. Camping i was abale to get again between 6 and 7 hours on this machine however with less than 20 percent left now i was at a higher elevation camping and im sure that matters due to the machine working harder.

  • QuestionWhere is the plug at to charger the 290 straight from a solar panel? And could you please tell me proper order connection from solar, to inverter, to battery, to station 290? I prefer a diagram?

    Asked by Wendersoffgrid.

    • Answer The cable to hook up a solar panel is not included. It is dependent on the connection that your solar panel uses. They are available on line ( Amazon) pretty inexpensively. It uses an 8mm barrel connector to whatever your solar panel uses. Then plug the 8mm barrel connector into the jackery and the other end connects to the solar panel. Then put the solar panel in the sun and leave it alone for a few hours to charge. Then plug whatever you want to run into the outlet (there is only one outlet so you may need a power strip but remember that this won’t run a whole house) or you can plug phones and other tech into the usb ports. You don’t need any other equipment. The jackery contains the battery and the controller and inventor. NO OTHER PARTS NEEDED EXCEPT THE CABLE TO CONNECT TO THE SOLAR PANEL AND THE SOLAR PANEL. CONNECT PANEL TO JACKERY THROUGH 8mm jack( the same one the wall charger uses)

  • QuestionHow long will Jackery 290 run my Cpap machine

    Asked by KLG.

    • Answer Depends on model and settings but i have a ResMed AirSense 10 and i was able to get around 7 hours with just over 30 percent battery left, however camping and considering different elevations/tempatures this will vary as camping at higher elevations ive found that i can getbetween 6 and 7 hours however it uses alot more power due to the elevation and tempertaure difference but it will run atleast 6 to 7 hours either way but ultimately depends on settings and the model your using.

  • QuestionWill this Generator be able to power this machine? For how long? https://sportsattack.com/product/junior-hack-attack-baseball-pitching-machine/

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Dear customer, thank you for your interest in Jackery products. The Jackery Explorer 290, with a battery capacity of 290Wh and an output power of 200W, would not be suitable for powering the Junior Hack Attack Baseball Pitching Machine as described in the link you provided. This machine typically requires a generator capable of delivering 1000 watts at 120 volts, 60Hz, which exceeds the Explorer 290's output capacity. To estimate the runtime for devices within the capacity of our power stations, we use a straightforward calculation: multiply the battery capacity by 0.85 and then divide by the device's power consumption. Given the power requirements of the Junior Hack Attack Baseball Pitching Machine, we recommend considering a power station with a higher output power. Models available on our official website, such as the Explorer 2000 Plus (with an estimated runtime for a similar load of approximately 1.7 hours) and the Explorer 3000 Pro (approximately 2.5 hours), offer greater power and battery capacity that may be more suitable for your needs. Please note that the estimated runtimes provided are approximate and can vary based on the actual power consumption of the device and other factors.
