A:AnswerI originally had this paired with one Kicker Comp R 12 at 2 ohms. That was way too powerful for the Comp R because it kept blowing the sub despite Best Buy Geek Squad tech actually taking the time to ensure the output was matched and accurate to what that one Comp R 12 was supposed to be able to handle. It was explained to me that the blowing was likely due to this amp actually being more powerful than it's reported and not necessarily due to the Comp R 12 not being able to handle what it's supposed to. I recently upgraded to the Kicker Comp VX 12. Wow. I've got a bass knob installed. The bass know was previously turned all the way up when the Kicker Comp R was paired with this amp, and the gain on the amp was turned down lower to prevent the Comp R 12 from blowing. It still sounded good, but I figured I wanted to get more out of the amp by going with a better sub. The Kicker Comp VX 12 hits so much deeper and louder paired with this amp at 1 ohm (it's 1 ohm stable which is a huge deal!), AND that's wit the bass knob turned down to about 25% I want to give this sub some time to break in and am gradually turning up the bass knob. Summary is that this is perfect to pair with one Kicker Comp VX 12 with it wired at 1 ohm. I promise you won't regret it. Matthew 7:12
A:AnswerYou will have to purchase speaker wire to RCA adapters. Kicker sells them on their website for about $15 I think. Hook those from your speaker wires to your amp. Be sure to switch the input button on your amp to HIGH instead of low. DO NOT USE THIS PLUS A REMOTE WIRE. You dont need a remote wire with amp wired this way. It senses signal from your speakers and automatically turns on.
A:AnswerIf your referring to a kicker amp you do not need a loc, kicker makes a kisl which converts high level speaker input to rca. Its about 20 bucks and 4 butt connectors thats it. Your amp will sense power from from your speakers and power on and off automatically. So much easier and cheaper but yes you can also use the same power and ground on your amp to power the loc if you still decide to use it. Sound quality is better with the kisl, also with kisl you'll have the high/low input button on your amp to high. Check it out
A:AnswerThe KICKER CXA800.1 is rated to develop 800 Watts RMS in to a 1-ohm load. The KICKER CompR 12" Subwoofer is rated at 500 Watts RMS and with using a pair of them (2) you would be at a total RMS power rating on your speaker system of 1000 Watts RMS. For maximum performance of your speaker systems, KICKER recommends using an amplifier that is rated to produce X Watts RMS that is within +/- 20% of your speaker systems RMS rated power. So, with a 1000 Watt RMS rated speaker system, KICKER recommends using an amplifier that falls within the 800-1200 Watts RMS range. Always keep in mind that smaller amplifiers will also sound great but just not get you the full output (SPL, loudness) potential of your speaker systems. A:AnswerIt will work with almost any aftermarket head unit, and will fit most stock vehicles either directly or with an adapter. Your Best Buy audio installer will be able to tell you what is needed to fit your particular vehicle.
A:AnswerFrom what I can find, the RMS on those are 400W. So yes, I believe you would be paired well with this amp. Also depending on the Ohm on the pair you have (2 or 4), you can wire them to give the most from the amp. Parallel will half, series will double the ohms.
Hope this helps.
A:AnswerYes, I think this kicker amp would be great for your Rockford speakers but really it all depends on what kind of sound quality you’re looking to get and I would recommend a line crossover , but if you have no idea what you are doing I would recommend taking it to a sound shop, letting them do the installation but if I where you I would purchase two this amps one for each of your speakers, now that would sound awesome, good luck !
A:AnswerI dnt remember the rmsbon those subs or uou dual voice coil or one if the rating is 400 rms with 2 subs it will be good but for just one its too mich
