A:AnswerNo time adjustment. That would be a cool option. I often type in a darkened room and that would be helpful. Keep in mind that if you move your hand within an inch of the keyboard it lights up.
A:AnswerIf I understand your question correctly, the keys are solid black but the letters/key name are white allowing the light to shine through the letters/key names only. I hope that helps.
A:AnswerEven when charging it still only communicates via the Bluetooth dongle. Make sure the included dongle is plugged in to your computer and the keyboard is turned on (switch in the top right corner).
A:AnswerYou can hold down the CTRL key and use the + or - keys to zoom in or out.
I don't think that's a feature unique to this keyboard. You should be able to do that on just about any system. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerHi. I thought I would offer my experience with the Logitech K800 Wireless Illuminated Keyboard and hopefully it will be helpful. I have been using Logitech keyboards from the time I got my first computer years ago. I have never had one I did not like or one that had problems, so as for their reputation, I highly recommend their keyboards and other products. As for which mouse will work with the K800 keyboard, there are several. The K800 keyboard comes with a unifying usb receiver, so any mouse that has the same unifying receiver compatibility will pair through Logitech's Unifying Software. The nice thing is it only requires you to use one receiver for several devices. I have used the following mice with my K800 keyboard: Logitech M310, M325, M510, M525, M705, M710, and the Performance MX Mouse. I have been using the Performance MX Mouse since it was released and now have two of them. I prefer it for the features it has and most importantly, it is comfortable and fits my hand better than the others. That is not to say the others I have used and still have are not comfortable or as good, it is just my personal preference. There are other options such as the M570 Trackball and MX Ergo Plus Wireless Trackball. I personally do not like trackball mice and have tried them as newly designed ones come out. I have yet to find one that works for me. So, as for compatible mice for the K800 keyboard, the ones I have mentioned above will work for you as I have all of them and have used them with the keyboard. I hope that will help.
As for your question regarding the keyboard having soft keys, yes, the K800 keyboard does have soft keys. Just to give you a second take on "soft keys," the keys on the keyboard are very soft when typing and also very quiet. I have never had a keyboard that did not have soft keys and not sure I would because it makes things more convenient when in use. And I have never had a keyboard with keys that typed so softly and as quietly as the keys on the K800 keyboard. I have found this to be a great keyboard and probably would explain why I have two of them. It has some great features and you should not have any trouble finding a mouse that is compatible with the keyboard.
I hope this has helped you and if you have any further questions let me know.
A:AnswerYes. There is an additional green light on the CAPS LOCK key. The green light for CAPS LOCK indicator is clearly visible with illuminated keys and even lights when you turn illumination off.
A:AnswerYou need either a cd/dvd reader or an internet connection. One way or other you need to install the Logitech software that you use to connect to the USB dongle that comes with the keyboard. If you don't have the cd player you can download the needed software from Logitech.
A:AnswerUnfortunately you cannot. This keyboard is connected via USB receiver dongle. You will need a keyboard that connects via Bluetooth like the K780, K480, or K380.
A:AnswerYes, you can leave the charging cable connected, but it defeats the purpose of a wireless keyboard, although there is only one other keyboard similar to this one that is wired and this wireless version is better.
A:AnswerHi Bruno, the K800 does not support Bluetooth. It will pair to a single device via the provided USB receiver. It does not support multiple connections. In order for this keyboard to be used on multiple devices you would need to move the USB receiver between computers/laptops. Logitech has several other options that support switching between devices. The MX Keys is a top selling option.
A:AnswerI guess I lucked out, got one with a couple of AA Eneloops at a thrift store that was covered with a fitted membrane protector so once I removed it it's basically brand new underneath - I didn't know there are versions that does not have the AA NiMH until I started researching it so I was pleasantly surprised since these days I wouldn't expect them to make things user serviceable.
