Q: QuestionCan this be used as a center speaker? I have four speakers already in the ceiling and just needed the center.

• A:Answer Thank you for your question and we hope all is well. Yes the SLM can be used as any speaker in a home theater application. The Folded Motion tweeters have an 80° x 80° dispersion pattern, which allows SLM and SLM XL to sound exactly the same in a horizontal or vertical orientation, making them perfect for Left-Center-Right (LCR) system applications. Q: QuestionWould these work in an LCR setup behind an acoustic transparent screen?

• A:Answer Yes. They sound great. I have 2 SLMs for L/R and 1 SLM CL for C. Though not behind a screen. Any speaker will be compatible with an acoustically transparent screen. That said. If the have enough room behind the screen. I’d use 3 towers for LCR, something like 3 Motion 20i or 40i. You’ll have more natural sound experience. SVS and KEF also make fantastic towers. Good luck

Q: QuestionMy receiver, a Yamaha TSR 700, says it is only compatible with 8 OHM speakers. These speakers say it is compatible with 4, 6, or 8 OHM receivers. What might I expect if I were to match these SLM speakers to the Yamaha?

Our speakers are compatible with 4, 6, or 8 Ohm-rated amplifiers and a majority of our speakers are on display/demo with 8 Ohm-rated amplifiers, including Yamaha.
