A:Answer The D3500 and the D5300 both feature 24MP DX format sensors, take standard size SD cards, and can shoot full HD movies. There are numerous similarities between the two cameras but also some notable differences. As an entry-level DSLR, the D3500 features Guide Mode which provides instant in-camera guidance that shows you step-by-step how to change camera settings to achieve the picture you want. The D5300 is for a slightly more advanced user and as such does not include Guide Mode. Instead the D5300 includes some advanced features not available in the D3500 , like exposure & white-balance bracketing, a 39-Point AF System, and a jack for an external microphone. The D3500 features built-in Bluetooth connectivity and can connect to compatible iOS and Android smart devices running Nikon's SnapBridge app. The D5300 features built-in GPS and Wi-fi and can connect to compatible iOS and Android smart devices wirelessly through Nikon's Wireless Mobile Utility (WMU) app. For further assistance please contact Nikon Support at 1-800-NikonUS.
