A:AnswerNo, you need an electrician for that. But are you sure you need it wired in? Microwaves all come with standard wire and plug. You usually have a outlet over the stove where they plug in. Mine was behind the hood vent cover. You should double check unless you’re installing in a new place that’s not set for microwave install….then you need an electrician to put a ground fault outlet in the proper location before having the install.
A:AnswerYes, the microwave has to fit the space without any demolition. Now you could take the tile down yourself so it doesn’t interfere with the install and your purchase store will probably do it then.
I don’t think Best Buy installs anything they don’t sell. You should go back to the original store.
This is why I buy from Best Buy…
A:AnswerYes, you can use the installers from Best Buy. I had already removed the old one when they came to install the new one, and they will charge you to remove the old one.
A:AnswerYes you can. I have trims under my microwave and they did not have to remove it. They were experience an expert at what they were doing so go they did not damage any trimming. As long is the space for the microwave is 30 inches or more they will be able to do it without destroying any of your trimmings.
A:AnswerAs long as they don’t have to do any alterations. Make sure the exhaust duct is routed correctly prior to the install. They installed mine incorrectly.
A:AnswerThey can but you need to let them know before so they can send the right people with the right tools. You have to explain exactly what you think needs to be done. They will charge more as they don’t normally do anything other than reinstall and make minor adjustments like drill a new hole.
A:AnswerReview your spec sheet as they list the screw size. I don’t think it’s a problem. My installers used some of their own screws. Units come with a variety of screws and those will be listed for you… just go to your purchase on line and drill down to find it.
A:AnswerYes, you will have to call an electrician if you can’t get the outlet to work. Usually it’s a ground fault plug…..are you sure you tried to reset the ground fault breaker first and then the breaker to the outlet. Sometimes it’s on the outlet or it’s somewhere on another outlet in the area.
