QuestionI bought a Panasonic 4K player a few years ago, it cost around $500.00 It plays 4k & regular blu ray discs very well, but with dvd discs it constantly pauses to upscale the picture. Do you have 4K players that can play dvd's without pausing the movie?

- Answer Hi! Thank you for reaching out to us. The unit can play back BD-Video discs of the region code A and DVD-Video discs of the region code 1, including "ALL". Also, the unit cannot playback DVD-Video discs in PAL format. -C

- Answer Why not just do a quick online search? Around 2021 I think. So, no 8K. Other than that, everything is very good with loaded features. My only wish is they can keep SACD play back with 7.1 ext out like the old oppo did.

- Answer I don't know for sure,but, you could go into general settings and reset everything back to factory default and start all over. Otherwise,just don't use the app. Personally,I don't care for the apps on this player.They are kind of clunky, and I've got most of them on my Roku TV anyway,and they work much better. - Answer You will need to look in the settings and change the aspect ratio. Keep in mind that you may lose a portion of your image to the right and left of your full screen.

QuestionHas anyone dealt with loud disc loading noises with 4k discs with this player? Mine plays 4k discs very loudly and I can't figure out why it might be doing this.

- Answer Mine Plays all disks very quietly. I recommend exchanging the Player while you can. My player will sometimes lock-up for no reason. The only way to to get it to work is to unplug it and wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in. My two week exchange time has passed, I am angry I am stuck with this $1000 player.

QuestionI'm using a sony receiver. When I play blu rays or anything that is dolby 5.1 or dts, the receiver displays LINEAR PCM instead of dolby digital or dts. The player is displaying the correct mode, but the receiver is displaying LINEAR PCM. What is wrong?

- Answer Ok, so I think I had similar issues with my audio for a bit, I mean I’m just using a sound bar/subwoofer combo where unless it was a 4k blu ray that had Dolby Atmos listed as a feature it would display PCM on my sound bar and the volume would have to be cranked up twice as high and the quality wasn’t great and I accessed the advanced audio controls on my Hisense TV and there’s a control called Digital Audio Out and I switched it from Auto to “pass through” and it fixed everything. It all sounds great now. Hope that helps.

- Answer Is your monitor/TV able to put out at least 1080p resolution. Did you run through the on-screen setup menu? You might have it set on 480p only. Or it might be the type of connection you are using. You have to make all these settings manually.Or if you screw them up you can go into the general settings menu and reset everything and start over. I know, it's a pain,but sometimes the only way to fix it if it isn't doing what you want it to do. C.M.
