- Answer seems in my case red light was due to mute on in-built mic for alexa.....

QuestionSamsung, when are you going to fix the EARC and enable LPCM with this bar? As it is, it's critically limited by not accepting multi-channel or 'real' (full fat) Atmos through the EARC port.

- Answer Mounting Dream Height Adjustable Speaker Stands Pair with Wire Management, model ‎HM5402-1 - these worked very well. The stand's speaker attachment plate is just the right size for these speakers. The overall look is solid. Additional benefit is that the wire management pass-through hole is big enough to get the speaker's power cord through. Highly recommend.

When pressing the Sound Control button on your Soundbar remote (looks like a gear), you will be able to select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range. QuestionI'm curious... if you choose not to use the sub and rears for a while and just hear the soundbar sometimes, will it work by itself if you don't connect the sub and rears, or does it require connections to those other speakers in order to work at all?

- Answer Hi Newbie! You can certainly use the soundbar without the subwoofer connected, however the subwoofer provides the immersive bass to pair with the exceptional clarity and surround performance of the other speakers. ^Tim

QuestionWill all of the features work with my 2020 Q90 TV? Space Fit reads it will only work with 2021 models :( Also, are the rear speakers "true wireless" or do they wire to a hub which runs wireless to the main box like the 850A? This thing probably rocks!!

- Answer Hi LetsG0Os! Thank you for inquiring about our brand-new 2021 HW-Q950A Soundbar. SpaceFit Sound is only compatible with 2021 Samsung QLED TVs, but you will still be able to enjoy features like Q-Symphony, Active Voice Amplifier, and Adaptive Sound! The HW-Q950A also features Auto EQ Technology (new to 2021), which uses a microphone mounted in the subwoofer to detect and correct low-frequency response peaks caused by the room dimensions and the subwoofer location. Great news - the SWA-9500S Rear Kit included with the Q950A Soundbar no longer requires a receiver module! The rear speakers will require a power source - that is the only cable you will need to connect to them. ^Gina

- Answer No it is not. The speakers have the height part for Atmos. So they need space above them to shoot that sound up.

QuestionIs the 2021 Q950 A the same bar as the 2020 Q950 T but with new surrounds (ONLY) to make it 11.1.4 instead of the 9.1.4 of last year? I ask this cause the bar looks the same as last year and specs look the same , just diff surround speakers

QuestionI have Q850T soundbar with a non-Samsung TV (Sony A8H). I am considering upgrading to the Q950A but have TV in room where distance to left wall (facing TV) is ~5 times that to right wall. How will this room/TV setup adversely affect Q950A audio quality?

- Answer The Q950A has amazing sound quality! I’ve found the side firing speakers arent as robust as the forward firing, and surrounds. You most likely won’t hear a difference

QuestionI have looked at the Manual and Online for an official explanation of what this does. In the soundbar settings, there is a Virtual On/Off feature. What does this do and how is this different from the Surround sound mode.

- Answer Virtual means virtual surround sound. It’s where the sound bar will take the incoming audio signal and send sound to the rears, side and up firing speakers based on what IT thinks should go there. Surround Sound mode is where the signal coming into the system is already coded for surround and only the sounds intended to go the tears are sent there. Hope this helps!

- Answer It's very simple and easy to setup it has a smart system setup once you setup the speakers automatically Adjust its normal sound for the size of the room If I love it you will too highly recommended

QuestionIf I had a TV that supported Dolby Vision HDR. Does this soundbar support Dolby Vision passthrough?

- Answer this sound bar absolutely passes dolby vision. I used my Nvidia Shield to test this. The sound bar will pass Dolby Vision when the source is lowered to 24hz instead of 60hz. If you are having trouble getting dolby vision to pass through, changing that setting worked perfectly. other rule of thumb is to set your TV to "Passthrough" only, dont use "auto". that should let the soundbar be recognized as a full Dolby Atmos (DD+) source more consistently.

QuestionThe rear speakers to this Soundbar started cutting in and out. I checked my wifi and they are running on 2.4 GHz frequency. Should it be 5GHZ. If so, how can I change the sound bar's frequency to 5GHz?

- Answer I don't know for sure that they run on the 5 GHz Channel most smart devices for your home runs at 2.4 GHz if they're cutting out they may be too far from The Sound Bar itself now you have the option to broadcast through the Wi-Fi or to broadcast through the main sound bar to all your other speakers by selecting wi-fi on your soundbar however I use the HDMI cable and broadcast from the soundbar's built-in wireless connection.

- Answer Hi Sreenadh! The dimensions of the rear speakers included with the HW-Q950A are (WxHxD) 4.9" x 8.0" x 5.6" and each speaker weighs approximately 3.7lbs; you will be able to utilize any universal speaker stands that support the dimensions and weight. ^Andrew

QuestionI have read that there is an audio lag that is according with this soundbar and the xbox series x. Can anyone that has purchased this attest to that? If so, is there a work around that can be done so that I do not lose the 4k, 120hz when connected to tv?

- Answer There is an audio delay issue. I have the XSX hooked to my samsung qn90b via hdmi and then i have the tv hooked to my samsung soundbar via hdmi as well and theres a noticable audio delay. Ive done every troubleshooting step you can think of with no resolution. Microsoft currently suggests mailing the console back to them for "repairs". Seems like its kind of a crapshoot to be honest. I didnt notice an audio delay with my old q60 samsung tv and same sound bar, only with this new tv.

QuestionWill this soundbar work with a LG 55B8PUA Oled TV. In particular I want to ensure that the Dolby Atmos will work correctly as the LG is only ARC and not eARC . I run my viewing through an Apple TV 4K . Thanks in advance

- Answer Hi! The HW-Q950A will be compatible with any TV supporting HDMI or HDMI ARC. To get the full, uncompressed Dolby Atmos experience, eARC is required; however, standard HDMI ARC will still support Dolby Atmos giving you an immersive surround sound experience. ^Tim
