A:Answer I'm quite happy with the flexibility of the shelving, though I do plan to order one more shelf for the freezer side. It might have been missing because mine was bought as an open-box. Whatever the case, we have some unusable space due to insufficient number of shelves, but only in the freezer. The fridge side has handled our widely varied containers happily. I'm not familiar with the size of a Gumbo pot specifically, so I can't speculate on that size, but we have put our crock pot in there without an issue, as well as large mixing bowls for various reasons. The whole thing is quite deep, so the large containers had plenty of room around them as well. Getting a tall pot onto the shelves might actually require you to leave a shelf out entirely, or position a couple of them really close together. I do have one positioned that way near the bottom drawers, and it gives a great spot between the shelf and the drawer for plated or bagged left-overs, packs of bacon, and other similarly narrow items. It was only a handful of cubic feet larger than our prior unit, but it feels worlds bigger inside because of the shelf flexibility, allowing us to set up space more optimally for our needs.
