Pros: Good Initial Performance: Effectively vacuums high-pile carpets and mops hardwood floors. The sensors work well without confusing the mop function. This Roborock is worth every penny spent. The ease of use and the thoroughness of the cleaning. It can mop and sweep at the same time or you can have them done separately. It self cleans and drys the mopping pad. Very little effort needed on our part for this to run smoothly. Basically just throwing out the dirty mop water and filling the clean water tank when it is low. It has a self emptying bag for the vacuum that only needs to be cleaned out every 7 weeks or so. This is my first robot vacuum and I love it. I'm glad I did my homework and selected this model for my everyday needs. Just purchase it, you won't regret it.

This is my first robot vacuum and I could not be more happy with it. It mapped out the house perfectly on the first attempt and has been vacuuming and mopping for about 3 weeks now with no issues. My floor has never been cleaner and I was worried that the long hair from alaskan malamute would be a challenge but so far it has tackled it very well. I highly recommend this vacuum!

My brother recommended to get this friend because of its power. He was right. I don't have to vacuum my house or do the mopping. The app allows you to choose the rooms, deeper cleaning. I have tiles in my whole house and it does a great job, even the edges by the walls. It is pricey but compare to other vacuum expensive brands that one at least doing its job, so don't hesitate.

The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra has far exceeded my expectations. After using iRobot Roombas for over six years—most recently the Roomba i8+—I can confidently say that the S8 MaxV Ultra is light-years ahead of any iRobot product currently on the market. One of the standout features is its mapping capability. In just a single 15-minute run, it flawlessly mapped my 1,500-square-foot home. For comparison, the Roomba i8+ took 2–3 hours and often required two separate runs to achieve the same result. The Roborock’s camera and LiDAR sensors deliver exceptional obstacle avoidance. Unlike the Roomba, which bumps into objects to detect them, the Roborock literally "sees" obstacles before it gets close—a massive leap forward in navigation technology. I was initially skeptical about the mopping feature. In fact, I tried hard to find a top-of-the-line vacuum without it. However, I’m glad I settled on the S8 MaxV Ultra because its mopping capability is genuinely impressive. It seamlessly detects carpet versus hard flooring, optimizing its cleaning path with surprising efficiency. Despite being more powerful than the Roomba i8+, the noise level is noticeably quieter during both vacuuming and auto-emptying. For pet owners, this is crucial—I have two dogs and two cats, and the Roborock handles pet hair and dander effortlessly. While the Roomba did a decent job, the Roborock truly knocks it out of the park. I did consider the Eufy S1 Pro Omni as a runner-up, but its lower suction power and single brush design fell short compared to the Roborock’s dual-brush system. For anyone with pets or larger living spaces, the S8 MaxV Ultra is a game changer. No regrets—just a cleaner, quieter home.

I've had the Roborock a couple weeks now. It's been great! I have it scheduled to clean my floors everyday. The water in the dirty water tank isn't as dirty anymore and my house now seems brighter. With a toddler running around, this really helps and takes over a chore I dreaded. I bought top of the line to make sure the job gets done and it definitely does!

Scheduling cleanings, setting no-go zones, and monitoring the cleaning process in real-time are all straightforward. Cons: • Price Point: It’s undeniably expensive. While it offers a lot of features, the high cost might be a barrier for some. • Size of the Docking Station: The dock is quite large, which could be an issue if you have limited space. • Mopping Limitations: While the mopping function is convenient, it doesn’t handle tough stains as well as I’d hoped. For light cleaning, it’s fine, but don’t expect it to replace manual mopping entirely. • Obstacle Avoidance with Cables: It occasionally struggles with thin cables or cords, sometimes getting tangled or dragging them along.

We have had this robot for a little while now. Its the 3rd robot we have owned. This has been the best robot of the 3. It does and awesome job navigating our house, doging pets, toys, and most cords (it does catch a phone charging cord once in a while). The app works well and its nice that it takes a picture and tells you why it avoided a spot. Im impressed with the mopping feature, its not perfect, but it does well enough that i dont feel like we need to mop ourselves 10 times a week. This robot was worth every penny.

Note: the product does not come with the recommended mop cleaning solution - you need to buy it separately. We love this vacuum/mop. The only thing it struggles with is pieces of dry dog food, which get caught between the vacuum rollers, so I hunt for those before directing Rocky to clean. It is much better with cords and soft object avoidance than the iRobot products. It also navigates an irregularly-shaped “pebble” rug well. The only thing to be careful of is it uses 2.4 GHz wifi only so we had to dig out an old router because it wasn’t compatible with Netgear ORBI broadcasting at 5.2 GHz. Check your wifi compatibility first. Also you’re supposed to put the dock on a hard floor but we took a risk putting it on carpet near the area where our pets hang out most and hadn’t had any issue with mop water. You do need to clean the dock and rollers regularly - picture is of a couple days of use. The mop rag hasn’t needed manual cleaning in the first two weeks - cleans itself surprisingly well.

I like this little robot. it mops and vacuums, pretty quiet. It has a little light on it when it’s dark, you can also drive it around to using your app to look around your house. You can set a schedule and areas where it’s not allowed to go. We have it clean the whole house before we wake up in the morning. We disabled the feature where you can use voice commands because it always activates when the TV is on.

Definitely not worth the price. Flexi arm does not work properly and leaves a ton of debris clean. Mopping and auto emptying functions help the convenience but for this price I would not recommend this device

In the FAQ’s on this site, Roborock states you can get an extra 4 years extended warranty if purchased from Best Buy before 12/31/2024, just by contacting their customer service. This is no longer true. I called today and they say that promotion ended in May. Dont use that promotion as a factor in choosing this vacuum.

Does a better job than the irobot j9. Doesn't scrub hard spots but happy with the performance.

Pros: Setting up the app and mapping was super easy. You can set routines for just vacuuming or mopping or both. The self-cleaning feature works great. Floors feel clean after use. Cons: The mini mopping arm "jammed", which stops the cleaning cycle. Took it apart, no jam. Researched lots of consumers struggling with the same issue. Will be returning today.

Amazing robot vaccum couldn’t have asked for a more intelligent robot , my wife is super happy .our house has a lot of rugs and wooden floor and this vaccum has never wet any carpet while it mops the floor .

I feel that for this price you can buy better products on the market.
