A:AnswerThe portal makes a ringing sound and also lights up. If you say "hey portal answer" it will switch to that HDMI if your tv has HDMI CEC. It will also turn on your tv and select the correct HDMI. When done with call you simply say "hey portal hang up". If you also say "hey portal turn off" it will also turn off your tv. Only issue is it does not change back to the previous input when done with call. You have to manually select the correct input with your tv remote.
A:AnswerMaybe, but it is not a function that is built into the device. You have to connect this to a dedicated HDMI port. Theoretically, if your TV had picture in picture ; you could display two video sources.
A:AnswerNo. I doubt It will either. It's completely different platforms, not compatible. However, Google's Duo should be able to eventually work on it. We'll see what the updates bring.
A:AnswerSimilar to using the Facebook Messenger App. Can be used with Messenger app on the other side or another portal. If someone calls you, your messenger and portal will ring. Whichever one you answer you will be able to video chat on that device. You can add more people to the chat for multi-way calls. Some setup to add facebook friends to portal address book. Then you can tell portal to call those people by name... Then just say "portal hang up" when finished.
