QuestionHello, I have the pet cross wave, i am getting tired of the cord being on my way all the time. I would like to know if this battery one is as powerful as the pet crosswave one. especially picking up Cat Litter ? ( most important feature for me) , thanks.

- Answer I own both the PetPro Crosswave and the new Cordless Crosswave and I believe that the cordless unit actually has more suction power due to a much tighter fit on the filter. See my review for more information.

QuestionAt $399 this is no cheap item. Is the battery a changeable item and how much does it cost ? What is it's expected life before replacement is needed.

- Answer The battery is changeable. I don’t know how long the battery lasts but you get about 30-45 minutes of cleaning between charges. The battery is like $60

QuestionDoes this unit shampoo each time you vacuum? Or is there a mode you can select when you just want to vacuum and not get the carpet wet?

- Answer If you only want to perform a "dry pass," you can. Just don't hold the trigger. The trigger releases the cleaning solution. I'd advise having a robot vacuum or another lighter vacuum to go over home first to capture bulk dry mess (daily). I use this strictly when I need to wash the floors and carpets (at least weekly).

QuestionHow is this wet/dry vacumm with long dog hair? Does it get caught in that tiny filter or does it filter through to the dirty water ?. I have to vacumm balls of hair everyday.

- Answer I have a long haired cat, which may not be the same as a dog, but I have balls/tumbleweeds of fur every day. The fur does go through to the dirty water and is easy to separate with a screen in the water tank. I just bought the pet hair brush as the basic floor brush held too much hair to be effective.

- Answer I think it does a really good job cleaning the carpet. If your asking if it gets it deep clean, I don't think it goes that deep as I have a throw rug in my living room and when I check under the rug, the water doesnt go all the way through but it does dry quicker. Hopefully that answers your question.

QuestionDoes this need to be returned to Best Buy or through Bissell? Had for about 1.5 months and loved it at first. Past two weeks I've experienced loss of suction and the roller is saturated. Only holding the trigger for a few seconds to get the roller wet.

QuestionCan the Bissell cross wave max be used on laminate flooring? How much water is left on the floor when running the Bissell?

- Answer It picks up almost all of the water and drys quickly. We use it on the newer laminate flooring that is very durable. If I had the older “floating floor” I wouldn’t recommend it. If the seems are tight you should be good. Hope this helps.

- Answer I don't have carpet, but if I did I wouldn't use this alon to clean carpet. The brush that comes with it wouldn't be able to clean lower level of the carpet. Will only be able to pick up stuff on the surface. The reviews for the area rug and carpet brush are bad so wouldn't even try it.

- Answer It has a direct drive motor that makes the brush roller spin. Personally I have owned both models of the Bissell crosswave, and I feel that the cordless does not clean as well as the corded version. The cordless is MUCH quieter, but if I had to choose based off of how welll the machine cleans, I would choose the corded model.

- Answer Not steam, warm water with detergent can be used. You pull the trigger aNd it applies the liquid to your floor and sucks it back up. Hope this helps.

- Answer Hi Patti - the battery can be replaced at a BISSELL Authorized Service Center if necessary and is covered under the manufacturer warranty. We don't offer a replacement battery consumers can purchase and install themselves.

QuestionI have two German Shepherds that shed a LOT! Does the newest CrossWave Max have a strainer in the dirty water tank like the pet Pro? That sounds like a feature I definitely need. If not can I get one?

- Answer Donna, it does have a strainer and it works great I have (4) dogs and a cat the strainer gets all the hair and leaves the dirty water in the canister.

- Answer We have luxury vinyl tile flooring that looks like wooden planks. Various shades of brown like real wood. The solution that was provided cleaned very well. Not sure what type of laminate you have. Must be able to have a wet water solution swiped over it for a short time.
